I don't care what anyone says, but these DOS games were the best ever!!!!!! It proves that realistic graphics and 3D gameplay makes a good game. These started it all!
Trivia: To enable a cheat mode, type in DNX (X being the number 1, 2 or 3 - depending on the episode you want to play) ASP at the command line. Use the following keys in-game:
Secret Tip: To hear some music while you play, insert a tape or CD into your nearest music player device. You may also check the Help menu for a list of good radio stations.
Good game, but it's super easy. I played it again and again as a kid. It's worth a download if I can get the dos box to load, but then again it might be easier to drag out the floppy disk basket. :/
I'm just wondering, is there any place at all to get the 2nd and 3rd episodes for this game? Because I'm assuming Apogee doesn't sell disks for this game series anymore, unless I'm mistaken about that...
Yes there is. 3D Realms, the company that used to be Apogee, are still selling downloads of Duke Nukem 1 and 2 for DOS. Unfortunately they have stopped selling physical copies but downloads are faster anyway. Just go to their website.
infantryhawk: If you're using DOSbox, I can help. It sounds like you've got the same mounting problems most have, but I can't be sure. Can you put a video up showing what happens?
Ah, I love these games! I grew up on these games!

I was laughing nearly the whole time. AHHHH good times. To think a whole game used to fit on a 3.5 floppy.

Talk about humble beginnings. This is the same Duke Nukem that said "It's Time to Kick Ass and Chew Bubblegum, and I'm All Out of Gum"?
