  • Reptiles do not have a petuitary gland that controls growth..short of disease or a predator and given enough time they can become immense.

  • this is one of those rare youtube pics I believe are true...saw this years earlier...the photos were shot somehwere in Africa during WWII...they weren't there for a pleasure photo shoot but in their job to spot German's and happened across this snake...wow...

  • giant snakes are 100% real. this pilot is telling the truth

  • @FANTOMTRON if you knew anything about large constrictors you would know that snakes in excess of 30 feet are well within the scope of reality.

  • @Slyther83 huh? :D

  • @Slyther83 <------ is the only other guy I see in the comment section that also keeps retics & frequents monstersnakeforums, so all you other "experts" can just keep your second-hand knowledge to yourselves if you are going to post garbage info.

PS- hey man, hows your platty tiger doing? I got a suntiger het white phase male coming from PP soon for my white phase girl. Should make some cool babies, I reckon! Fingers crossed I hit a few white phase suntigers!

  • @SpiderShane1 Oh, and another albino female.....purple tiger, WOOOOT. Going for white phase suntigers with my white girl, and if I get the purple tiger up to size, I might be able to get lavender supertiger sunfires the next year as well.

    Things are lookin good bro!

  • @SpiderShane1 the platty tiger is doing awesome, shes on multiple super jumbos at the moment. i'm still trying to convince her to take rabbits... white phase suntigers are gonna be bright as hell- white phases are pretty underrated i think. everyone wants purples and i love mine too, but i think my tiger white phase looks just as damn good

  • @Slyther83 Yeah I'm pretty stoked on the projects :)

But I totally agree, white phases are so awesome. I actually think they look better than the purples, but I figured I might as well mix it up with the genetic potentials if I am gonna be doing multiple albino breedings, ya know?

And yeah, a white phase suntiger baby is gonna be my holdback if I get a good one. If not, then a white sunfire is 2nd choice. Kind of my dreamsnake so I figured might as well make my own!

  • biggest one on youtube is around 25 feet. could be real but i don't think so :D (respectfully)

  • Colonel Remy Van Lierde is more trust worthy than most of you guys. I believe him.

  • I wonder if the natives have seen this snake also.

  • "Daers snakes out daer dis big!?" - Ice Cube

  • @AceofDlamonds get a life and stop your bullshit preaching. Scientist have already shown that the only natural govenor of size is average annual climate. The annual climate in venezuala (not sure on spelling) during the time period of 50 foot snakes roaming around was 87 deg. fh. Which today there are 4 different continents that average that temp in certian parts.

  • @lutex442 um no sir you have been miss informed. Anacondas which are probably most clostly related to the titanaboa(animal believed to be extinct but looks oddly fimiliar to the snake in the photo) have been documented to raise up 6 to 7 feet to strike at people. So his depiction is very realistic.

  • "There snakes out there this big?"

  • bald man:so

  • It would be hard to believe this snake raised its self up 10 feet. Snakes have a weak support structure for actually supporting the raising of their upper torso. Yes you might see a small python raise its head to attack, but look at the size difference. This guy is talking 50 feet of snake, which would at least be over 200 pounds. For a snake of that size to lift 20% of its body weight is more unbelievable then a 50 foot snake in the first place.

  • @lutex442 "Snakes have a weak support structure for actually supporting the raising of their upper torso".

Really, dude? Where do you get your snake info from?

First of all snakes don't have "torso's" lol. And second, snakes very easily can raise nearly half of their body stright up in the air. And no, snakes don't "raise heir heads to attack"- they coil back the first 1/3 of their body and crouch low before they attack. I have 3 reticulated pythons as pets, I know more than you about snakes.

  • @SpiderShane1 allso the bigger the snake, the higher it can raise up if it is strong enough.

  • Cryptozoology novel see video book trailer

  • Boleh caya ke tu?

  • As i said in an earlier note, " it's bloody anigma", if it were last week you would have Dr brady barr, mark o'shea, bear grylis, and the bloke who does the monster hunting and every reporter from all over the world decending on katanga, They would be on a plane from heathrow in no time time, and down that hole like a rat up a drain pipe, i bet there would have been some skeletal remains down there alright,

I wonder how hard it would be to locate that hole these days, They should go back & try

  • it must be real cuz once it was captured a 10m (35 feet) snake here in brasil so probably there r bigger ones ..........

  • Indonesian villagers captured 49 feet python so this photo probably real

  • Cryptozoology novel see video book trailer

  • chuck norris lost his dick!

  • .youtube.com/user/Xproject187?feature=mhum#p/u/2/1VB2-jHHqJY

  • This was Remy Van Lierde, an airforce ace that has officially shot down 50 airplanes in that WW2. That is the highest official number of all non-soviet allies. Only a south african pilot might have unofficially shot down about 51 jerries, but officially it's 40+, so I go with Van Lierde. One of the seldom Belgian pilots in WW2, but with a higher rate than any American, British, French or any other pilot from a free country (non facist, non communist).

  • this guy was flying over it? If I saw such a thing I would never go away and I would either capture it alive or kill it. Fly low and kill it with the plane.

  • the snake was to danger to aproached!i dont thing people could have closed encounter with!

  • I remember reading this in the News in the late 50's. Hit the Headlines then. Where is the original photo now?

  • An then we all came down after about 10 hours and we all saw the snake....yeah...

  • where did he see the snake?

  • whats hard to believe people? creatures exist and live on this planet that have not been discovered yet and can't be seen by humans

  • even if it WAS real, the size of the snake could be exaggerrated...and around the area, I mean u gotta find a sizable group of similar large snakes....

without hard evidence I'm not gonna accept a 50+ foot snake alive today.

and the dimensions of the head are just exaggerrated, clouded all throughout the years, or just made up.

  • It was Jim Morrison's dick.

  • Why was there no photos made when the snake raised up? Why this one photo? Looks like an earthworm or plastic snake was laid on a photo of the jungle and then a photo was taken of that. Photos just can't be trusted as proof of anything.

  • people back in the golden age lived beasts no scientist could take a picture of. in central america, my grandfather once told me of beasts that were BEYOND beliefs of such existence. some of them were like immense mud crabs, anaconda-like serpents(at least 3 times bigger than a normal sized) and the Notorious El Cadejo. he said white american people tried all they wanted, but could never get anything out of it due to unusual casualties from them....he also pity those men who died till this day.

  • TOD BEND OVER GIRL HAHAHA

  • WOW I BELIEVE IT

  • i realy very believe what he is saying

  • One bottle of Remy too many mate, you're seeing things.

  • @Dogapsa . Arthur C wasnt a peodo , was he ? I hope not !

  • theshow2k8,

reference 55 ft snake, i saw that pic and i think it's fake, it looks like a standard digger bucket with a 10 ft snake hanging of it, have another look and you will see what i mean.

  • He's quite convincing isnt he? He is obvioulsy convinced of what he saw.

  • AWWW MANN!!! i really hope to see a giant that is 50 ft!!!!! haii...nowadays snakes r sooo small....

  • It's a bloody shame there is no more info on this, this is all there seems to be.

They should have interviewed him some more before he died, it's an inigma!

  • @MrTaxi10

Yeah, I think a series of photos were taken but I've only ever seen the one reproduced. It's a pity that in a shoebox up in an attic somewhere there probably exists the negatives with the entire series of pictures.

  • @ar4216 , Yes your right,

I dont believe this man would lie, i found a bit about him on the net and he was a fighter pilot with a DFC or such like, i dont know much about snakes but this looks like a one off, very strange and if it were in modern times they would have interviewed the local villagers and got some more info.

Now 51 years later it's too late and remy van lairede died in 91 (i think), so we will never know, this was probably the only chance of a rare find.

  • @MrTaxi10

There was a 55ft snake(two in fact)that were found in China, theres a photo of one of them being carried by a forklift.

  • How about a skeletons or even a single bone fossil anything please.

  • the prehistoric titanoboa maybe? jet black

  • just my two cents.. while you can prove that something does exist, you can't prove that it doesn't

  • This is very interesting. The photo states that it was taken in Katanga,(in Africa). Clearly not an anaconda. Yet the largest snake known is the African Rock Python, which the largest specimens reach 23ft. What also makes it interesting is that African Rocks do not match the coloration that this pilot is describing. This is very cool. If this story is true, then there's a snake out there in Africa that no one knows about (except for the natives most likely).

  • @tarepanda21

    This was South America

  • Anyone know the full story behind this , its just so bloody interesting

  • Wow" There are more things in Heaven and Earth than are dreamed of in your philosophy." William Shakespeare Msyteries of Mysteries are still to be found in these world I see.

  • they saw a snake in the philipines but i think its bigger ,because they saw it in a mountainous area crossing across the road it took 30 mins for it to cross and the vehicles couldnt pass cause the body is bigger than the wheels when they saw the tail thats when they panic becuse they have no fucking idea it was a snake

they never saw it agian but the hunters found the skin . its frightening

  • wow no way.

  • @mozzimo31

Where did you hear that story and what happened to the snake skin that was found?

Is it available to read on the internet?

  • @mozzimo31 yo I hered about that snake too. That's scary. There was a giant snake in Jamaica that blocked up a frigging truck. The truck had to turn around. The giant snake was hanging around some tree above the road.

  • "At least 40 feet" come on mate give me a break, you can clearly tell it is something gigantic in size. The pilot even says its bigger and to me it looks closer to 70 feet. It would almost have to be with a head so large as described. Some say there is a giant snake in the Amazon basin which grows to 100 meters in length and is 2 metres wide.

  • THATS A BIG SNAKE!!!

  • @jazusa03

Yes, it certainly behaved aggressively, standing it's ground against a helicopter!!

I agree at that size it wouldn't need venom, but it behaves as a venomous snake. And it's head's dimensions seems to be more proportionate to that of a giant venomous snake rather than a giant constrictor.

    Purely speculation...but fascinating none-the-less!

  • It turns out that old photos are more trustworthy then modern photos!XD...I just love the irony in that...

  • Is SATAN!

  • just fly back to same spot take another pic?

  • all i can say is Damn!!

  • @MsVirgo3

Yeah That's all I can say too. And that was probably on Film to huh, not digital?

  • I say 50 fake.

  • The exact size is debatable between 40 to 50 feet.

    However, the photograph IS authentic.

  • I'm curious, because I sure WANT to believe that the picture is authentic, how do you know it is? I've always thought that photo was astounding; a snake 40-50 feet long? Incredible!

  • @jerico641

It was examined by the Army Core of Engineers, experts in arial photography/reconnaissance, and it was deemed to be authentic.

The animal was "at least" forty feet long and probably as thick as a telephone pole.

In my opinion, it is some sort of undocumented species of gigantic "venomous" snake. Because the heads of documented 30 foot long "constricting" snakes are NOWHERE near the size of this snake's head!

A head 3 foot wide and 2 foot long!!

    Yes, it is incredible!!!

  • Amazing. I sure wish something like that could be captured and studied (with nobody getting hurt, of course) and then released again to the wild. And you have to wonder, if something like that is living out there, what else might be?

  • @jerico641

I'm with you...I'd love to have the opportunity for a (safe) close-up examination of that snake!!

  • good photo but why are nt there more where does a snake that size hide

  • wow that looks abnormally huge

  • at the end it sounds like he says bitches, because it is cut off

scary to think about snakes this big

  • or your just fucking retarted ,cause that picture is not fake

  • Maybe this is the snake that they just recently found fossils of it was estimated over 50 feet

  • We have to kill the monster !!!

  • NO!

  • Gods! What a Monster!

  • Dune:

    Gurney Halleck

    Exactly

  • dam i have to admite this is a real strange picture, this photo was tested and wasnt a fake!, so what the hell is it..

  • Too bad we didn't discover this today. We could tag it with a GPS chip.

  • Are you volunteering to go up to that monster and tag it? Cause I'm sure not going to be the brave motherfucker who tries to put a GPS tracking device on that bad boy.

  • They make GPS tags that can be shot with a dart from sniper-like rifles. It's how they tag certain whales and sharks that they can't harpoon.

  • You don't really need GPS tags to find that thing. Just follow the trail of flattened cities and terrified villagers!

  • do you think that snake is real?

  • LMAO! Good one.

  • Thankew, thankew!

  • ar4216 I see that you don't accept friend invites or personal messages, but I'm sure that doesn't stop the idiot spammers from trying to send them to you! Anyway, thanx for enjoying my comment, and I would encourage you to check out my videos, as most of them tend to reflect my weird sense of humor.

  • just only brainless people would do that. i did read it but wont do anything. so what?

  • U said u really hate these things then why did you post it, i know yr scared...

  • Damn, I thought I had some privacy 'cause nobody was around. It never occurred to me to look up, and I certainly wouldna whipped it out if I'd known some old guy in an airplane would be photographing it!

  • ill shit my pants it that came to eat me ill run like hell if that happen

  • My dad seen a python in Vietnam that was about as long as this one (the villagers worshiped and feed it on a regular basis ..it was their god) it was so big it actually ate a full size pig once a month ...he said the mouth opened to about 3 feet wide before they shot it to shit with an AR, it scared them so they killed it :P

He also told me a story of a guy that was eaten alive by a python over there and was cut out of it alive a day later. Vietnam is full of giant snakes!!!

  • Fail

  • Fuck you, what the fuck would you know idiot?

  • Lol, your story is full of fail and AIDS

  • So is your underpants!

  • HAHA touche :\

  • OK any intelligent person would know that no one would ever survive being inside a python a day later because you'd die before ingestion. Please don't be an idiot and believe this obviously false story.

  • Stop trolling :\

  • It would have crushed him first and also snakes can feel if thier prey is alive, after each breath they squeeze tighter until the prey is dead, they never eat live prey, also, after swallowing thier prey they have stuff inside that basicaly melts or turns thier prey to liquid, this story is not true,no way can someone live till the next day and be cut out alive, impossible,,check on info about pythons for yourself, you will see how they eat.how they digest thier food.the story is a myth.

  • Thank you

  • Search: India Snake Python 49 ft. long it's real baby... Yes it's real

  • @PoG1Me .......It certainly is !! i checked it out , the vid is online for it too . So anyone sayng these size of snakes are impossible is wrong !

  • its definatly possible to find a snake 40foot+ back in 1959, expecially in very remote areas. Due to logging and deforrestation most of the large snakes have dissapeared. now its rare to find a snake over 20 feet. There are still some giants out there 30 foot+ but they will die out very soon.

Its a green anaconda by the way.

  • Can a green anaconda rear-up like the pilot described?

It's aggressive "rearing-up" behavior leads me to believe that it might have been some undocumented species of gigantic venomous snake!

  • yeah all snakes can, snakes can lift nearly a third of there length off the ground, so if this snake was close to 50 feet long it can rear up pretty high. the king cobra and other large snakes have been known to rear up and look a person right in the face....scary?

  • is it also true some snake breeds wont rear at all ?

  • rearing up is a sign of aggressive behaviour, all snakes can raise the front of there body but a snake will only rear up if displaying defensive or aggressive behaviour.

  • never seen a king brown rear up in my life , they may do it for all I know .

but I was under the Impression only a few species "reared" ie. cobra , taipan

other snakes like king browns dont emit any warning , they retract back then strike horizontally.

I think u may want to check up on that fact.

    do adders rear?

    does a rattler rear?

they all coil and strike as far as I can see.

rearing is a defensive posture yeah?

reason I ask is , I seriously dont think pythons or anacondas rear

  • a restricting snake

    a. ambushes its prey

    b. attaches to the face

    c. wraps coils around victim and restricts it to death.

last mate I saw piss a python off got bit On the side of his head , no warning , it just leapt at him hell quick then sunk its jaws into his face lol

cobras rear because its a warning, the hiss is a warning ....it knows if it gets into a biting match it could be its last.

  • all snakes can rear up when i say rear up i dont mean sitting there with its head in the air, all im saying is all snake can raise there heads, just like all snakes can swim. i dont have to check my facts im a biologist (herpatologist)

  • @AdamSnake666 . Hey Adam , while i totally agree with what your saying ( about the bigger snakes been a rarity these days due to deforestation ect , ) , i am unsure if it could be an anaconda as there South American and this sighting was in the Congo , Africa. The Congo is so big an unexplored , it could be an unknown species

  • photo of a worm zoomed in on grass

  • i killd it last nite

  • I remember the first time I saw that interview and picture...still amazes me.

  • maybe its exist, not imposibble..believe the unexpected.. i do agree that the picture is kinda painted

  • The exact size of the snake is debatable, but the photograph is authentic.

  • Wouldn't there have to be a breeding population for this snake to exist?

  • Fossils of a 43 foot long snake were recently uncovered... who knows??

  • Its a 46 foot snake not 43 and its called the Titanoboa

  • were is this place that the snak aapears,,,

  • Holy crap....big snake

  • wow, big snake...even bigger then the ones here in australia

  • damnn this snake is huge

i would probably say this snake is about 60 ft easy

  • haha...you seem to understand sinnertwin!

some of these people however seem to think all these old stories (no video/pictures of course, how convenient haha) are actually true...

  • my grandma told me bout a this tale long time ago.a traveller got lost in the woods,n he was looking for shelter as nite came closing in.came across a very small cave of bout few feet high.tested there for the nite.nex tmorning when he got out, found out the cave was actually a giant snake's mouth.tales of the monsters,hooo....~

  • hmm..if you think like that i suppose everything is possible..but like i said, it's anatomically NOT possible..there's such a thing as gravity, remember?..and what would this snake eat? there are no real big prey animals in the amazone (it's not the planes of africa!!)... and like i said, this snake would be so slow in movement because of it's weight that it could only feed on dead animals, and snakes kill their prey themselves, they're not like vulptures!

but if you want to believe so badly..

  • people who believe this are..well..stupid.

'i agree with what you said, +, the picture with the snake, is not a real photograph, it is painted.

  • well at least respect some snake lovers opinion

-im not a snake lover either lol i hate'em-

  • I agree, specially the last thing ;-)

  • I agree, specially the last thing ;-)

  • people who believe this r stupid? Did you watch the news as of yesterday.."stupid". They found the fossil of a snakes back that they r sure was 45-50 feet long.Back then that this is talking about doubt it.... maybe......But they did exist....

  • yes stupid, I watched the news.

But that was a fossil from bc. of course I'm not saying these never existed.

But this picture from "1959" is just ridiculos.

  • You are unintelligent. Altho i will give you some slack on account of the things that the mainstream media shovels to people like you who are only able to rely on one sorce. The way the mainstream media give you information kinda makes me think of what they do to a cow to make it into a hamburger.

  • @harpiya21 .......Its not the Amazon , its katanga province , Republic of Congo , Africa. And it is possible , a 49 footer was found alive and well recently , and theres the news vids on the net to prove it . Its currently in a zoo in indonesia and eats 5 dogs a month 2!! Plenty of big game for a large snake to feed on in Africa too .

  • @funkytomo77

there is no 49 foot snake for shit. That was clearly made up since when researchers went there, it was barely 21 feet. judging by the pictures themselves u guys may be able to smell something fishy.

don't believe everything u see damn. guys' c'mon we live in an age of world communication and tech. use ur brains.

  • @AceofDlamonds The person that saw it is Remy Van Lierde. And this was way before photoshop even existed. Got any other better excuses?

  • @12801270able

Hey, some land animal THAT big not seen since? Science does not rely on anectodal evidence only....espeicially from fishy scale standards....ie. from the air

Evolution and climate would not allow for a snake twice as wide as today's biggest anacondas.....

    Science says no, srry.

  • @AceofDlamonds Science is basically mountains of theories created by plenty of theorists to explain everything. However, science cannot explain EVERYTHING out there. Ex? Deepest of the bottoms of the oceans, mutated animals, wierd mutations, and alot more. This is also an airforce ace that claims he has seen a snake of such size and he has alot of credability due to what he did during WW2. And one explanation is that the snake either ate something to become that big or mutation in the genes.

  • @12801270able

You are living off of wishful thinking by then. Science = don't assume anything is true unless it can be tested. Only embrace it as fact if it have been proven through tests and peer review.

Bottom of the oceans? What's your point, we have documented pretty well what animal types hang out at which zones of the ocean..generally, the deeper you hang out, the smaller and less significant you get.

Well mutating an animal doesn't make it survive in today's climate at that size.

  • @12801270able

The occurance of giant snakes in prehistory has corresponded with much hotter climates than today, as well as the monumentally impractical path idea of evolution allowing a "giant snake" that large to live today. You realize the physical contraints don't you? Show me one example of a mutation that has increased an animal's size two-fold.....

  • It will be better not to say impossible to a such strange things, I guess. We don't see them yet, so we don't believe it thats OK, but we can't deny the possibility of their existence, although its only 0,00000000000001%.

  • reaction t debunker1905...

80 teet is IMPOSSIBLE!! the longest snake ever seen was a reticulated python and was nog longer than maybe 28-30 feet!! anaconda's are the biggest snake's in the world but thats just because of their weight!! 80 feet is anatomically just not possible...that would be about 25 meters..you must be joking or stupid haha! how can a 25 meter snake swim? or climb in a tree? it would be so slow that it would not catch anything...not even a sloth haha!!

  • well hes a cyborg, he can mesure "things"

  • lol. 0:35 so graceful ;]

  • this guy needs a ruler

  • I wouldn't doubt that.

A 80 feet long Anaconda Python in fact is very rare, however not entirely impossible.

At the same way a human being grew up to 8 feet and 11 inches or 2.7 meters (that was the tallest human that existed) a anaconda python could also (in a very rare situation) grow up to 80 feet or maybe even 100 feet. The only problem to prove it would be locating such creature. In the whole Amazon, the chances of encoutering such snake is extremely low, but you could still encounter it.

  • The python holds the world's record for length of a snake (any species), with the longest ever measured at 33 feet.

Debunker> The video's guess of possibly more than 40ft wouldn't be a huge stretch by your theory. Robert Wadlow (world's tallest man at 8'11) is close to 30% taller than the average man making 40ft reasonable for a 30ft snake.

I don't know where "80ft" came from but it is unreasonable. There is reason to think it would exist.

  • My point was -in the case you didn't get it- that the "extremely rare and unusual" is possible.

    "I don't know where 90ft came from.."

Here's where it came from: "In 1925, a priest named Victor Heinz was on the Rio Negro of the Amazon river when he spotted a colossal snake. He estimated the reptile to be nearly 80ft long and its body was so thick that it created a large wake in the river as it swam by. "

I just read it and made a comment.

  • Correction: *80 ft, not 90ft

  • So you think just because one priest said he saw it, it must be possible? I don't care how reputable Victor Heinz is, there is no CREDIBLE evidence to suggest that it is possible. Even if Heinz was credible, his state of mind at the moment of seeing any snake over 30ft would put him in question. He could have been scared out of his mind. So, I will continue to say that it is unreasonable.

  • lol i got a bigg ck than that lol

  • dats fake...how could an anaconda rise 10 feet

  • It wasn't an anaconda. Judging by it's behavior and the size of the snake's head, it seems to have been some undocumented species of gigantic venomous snake!!

The heads of documented 25/30 foot long anacondas are NOWHERE NEAR the size of this snake's head!

  • No, It's a huuuuuge african python, may be a rock one.

  • this pic wasnt taken in world war 2, where and when was this really taken ?

  • The photograph was taken over the Belgian Congo in 1959.

  • By the way, are there pythons in Congo? Not really! Anacondas? No, only in Siuth America? Boas? May be...

  • What's your point?

  • I ask myself what kind of snake this couuld have been? I don't believe in unknown species, kryptozoologics etc.

  • awsome...

  • i think this could be possible but it would be a rare genetic flaw. Bigger isn't always better especially in the amazon it would be highly vulnerable to attacks with its body being that long while trying to snake its way through the trees or along the forest floor
