  • Um, dude. You deleted my post and went into some weird intellectual peacock display. What's up.

  • Sorry, I forgot to approve it... this is my only video that I have to do that with. I typically do not erase comments here or at my blog.

  • Your loudmouthed idiocy is bought with the blood of the brave men who bleed so you can sit your fat ass in front a computer and attack those who protect you. A thousand people with rectal craniitus isn't a force, they are a silly looking joke.

  • Translated from Latin to English, "Ad Hominem" means "against the man" or "against the person."

An Ad Hominem is a general category of fallacies in which a claim or argument is rejected on the basis of some irrelevant fact about the author of or the person presenting the claim or argument. ....

  • ...Typically, this fallacy involves two steps. First, an attack against the character of person making the claim, her circumstances, or her actions is made (or the character, circumstances, or actions of the person reporting the claim). Second, this attack is taken to be evidence against the claim or argument the person in question is making (or presenting). ...

  • ... 1. Person A makes claim X. 2. Person B makes an attack on person A. 3. Therefore A's claim is false.

The reason why an Ad Hominem (of any kind) is a fallacy is that the character, circumstances, or actions of a person do not (in most cases) have a bearing on the truth or falsity of the claim being made (or the quality of the argument being made).

  • Example of Ad Hominem 1. Bill: "I believe that abortion is morally wrong." Dave: "Of course you would say that, you're a priest." Bill: "What about the arguments I gave to support my position?" Dave: "Those don't count. Like I said, you're a priest, so you have to say that abortion is wrong. Further, you are just a lackey to the Pope, so I can't believe what you say."

  • Evan Coyne is so obviously biased in favor of the Bush Administration, one wonders if he is embarrassed about this film now that so much has been learned in the interim. Furthermore, one wonders why his enthusiasm for the war did not extend to his fighting for his country.

  • What has been learned in the interim? Curious.

  • I don't think its ignorant to say that war is not the answer. Especially a war that is illegal and unjustified.

  • I haven't seen yet how this was was an illegal war? And war has stopped communism, fascism, slavery, and the like. You may be right that war isn't the answer in this case, but war is a necessary response to evil. Join the conversation:

  • Well, it's true the peace protestors are sometimes shallow in their thinking, but did we need to disarm Iraq or throw Saddam Hussein out? I don't see why, everything was going fine. I like you putting the spotlight on free speech suppression, but this is not really a good argument you are making here.

  • I have made well reasoned arguments on my blog years ago... which I cannot do here at a character max of 500.

    religiopoliticaltalk[dot]blogspot[dot]com

Root around there. Near the bottom of the left-hand column there is a categories list of topics there.

  • I just love the "deer in the headlights" look they got when actually asked what they would do. What a bunch of idiots.

  • It is always a great thing to see the hypocrisy and stupidity of those who claim they don't support the War. In the long run, these nuts with their unoriginal chants and finger-painted signs will be on the wrong side of history and they know it.

  • I want to know what this other way, they suggest should be?

  • all the threats of terrorism from 3rd world militias, is a direct result of our support of other nations enemies, and our military involvement and governments agendas within sovereign nations. we provoke hostility. something our founding fathers were dead against doing. all it does is provoke things our government claims they need our men and women to die for..all the while our economy suffers, and masses of innocent civilians die from collateral damage of these over aggressive wars.

  • these people don't hate us for no reason. they hate us because of our foreign policy. these people end up hating our military, then our government, then us. it all starts with special interests poking the hornets nest with a stick, getting stung, and then calling for us to go die for their mess. the same way our tax dollars are used to bail out greedy elite corporations, is the same way our military is used to bail out our governments agendas in foreign policy.

  • .

You are wrong, both historically -- militarily and otherwise. I suggest a few things... I will post an audio vlog by a Presidential candidate at my site (religiopoliticaltalk[dot]blogspot[dot]com) - give me a minute to track it down. As for the rest, I will be happy to discuss it with you at my site, I can suggest you read chapter 3 (The Real History of Slavery)of Sowell's book, Black Rednecks and White Liberals. It will enlighten you some more on third-world actions and our Founders.

  • our founding fathers we're all about non-interventionism.our military is running rampant.we have bases in 130 countries on this earth.what we do in the world is aimed soley at pursuing imperialism.yet, everyone is drunk with this idea that our only intent is helping and aiding these nations we invade and bomb.how about our involvements in south and central america? do u not think that was to create safe havens for our democratic businesses to flourish? this world is run by merchants, no morality.

  • I cannot find the uadio, but the article is still around, check it out... tell me what the founders were doing in 1794 to piss off the "third world." I would suggest you take a breather and read the one chapter I recommended... hell, you do not even have to buy the book. Just walk into a bookstore and read it -- as well as the article I am about to post on my site. Let me know also is the 900 throats Muhammad personally cut and ordered to be cut was because of what we did in 640'ish A.D.

  • when are u people going to learn that our interests aren't 1'st priority? when are u gonna learn that war is a rackeering business?there is far too much profit to be made by war,for it not to be perverted into a business. lobbyists constantly push for war and push to continue war. i suggest u research Major General Smedley Butler. a marine who was in active duty for 33 1/2 years. he was the most decorated solider in US history. upon arrival home from his tour, he wrote the book "war is a racket"

  • If any of these fucking morons had half a brain, they'd have turned his Socratic method right back at him. "How would you handle Iraq?" Simple, DON'T!!! Who gives a shit about that lump of crap in the middle of the fucking desert. They were no significant threat to us, so why the hell should we waste our time with them?

  • The US does not have the largest military in the world.

  • The US does not need the largest military in the world.

  • Despite the shallow reasoning presented by some protesters in this film, the historical record has essentially proven them correct. There were no weapons of mass destruction, the first Gulf War was about securing Kuwaiti oil, Saddam was not a threat, diplomacy and the UN were not given fair chances, etc.

I'm sure some protesters gave cogent reasoning behind the protest but are not shown in this clip--note the very high percentage of foreigners not fluent in English interviewed...

  • You should check out my blog. There were AMD (agents of mass destruction) programs and in some safe houses raided there were scientists, laboratory equipment, and chemicals found in these safe houses and in mosques. You seem to have a picture of the movie "Spies Like Us" where Russians were about to press a button on a mobile ICBM... this is not what the U.N. resolutions said was the only reason to RE-Enter Iraq... (con't)...

  • ... the lead scientist in Saddam's nuclear program had hidden centrifuges in his garden and even wrote a book about it. The second in command for Saddam's air force has written about scheduling flights out of Iraq to Syria and Russia with hollowed out passenger jets filled with contraband of some sort. If you go to my blog I ask you to thoughtfully read the posts that come up when you type in "WMD" in the search engine in the upper left-hand portion of the blog.... (con't)...

  • ... one last point. The democrats are "screaming" at Bush so he would get some oil from Iraq... which we have not gotten at all. The first time Iraq was able to make contracts with other countries they did so with the following: China, India, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Prior to that the U.N. sold the oil with the revenues going right back into a fund to help rebuild the countries infrastructure. Again, the U.S. did not get any of the oil or revenues from those deals... (con't)...

  • ... Remember in the 70's OPEC cut the oil supply coming to the U.S. for the express reason of letting the West know they had control of the oil supply. They still do. Exxon during its 40-million dollar hand-outs to their CEO were making $.08 (yes, cents) on every gallon of gas sold. California made $.18 on every gallon. If you want to make less money as a corporation do you lower or raise the price of your product? Less people are buying gas now do to high prices.... (con't)...

  • ... so how is Bush and the oil companies making more money now than if we had just bought oil from Iraq? PLease... you must consider the fact that even for the firing on our jets in the no-fly zone trying to kill our pilots in contradistinction to what the U.N. resolutions required was reason enough to RE-ENTER Iraq because they broke the cease fire documents agreed to by the First Gulf War... which was a response to Iraq invading that country, who still control their own oil.

  • so thanks, but no thanks. i do plenty of research, and i'm fully aware of the intentions of these bullshit wars. i suggest doing some research on major general smedley butler, or read the book he wrote "war is a racket"

  • .

Then you have had your say. I do quite a bit of research myself. In fact, I have well over 3,500 books in my home library, not to mention a boatload of DVD documentaries. In two-months I will hold a M.A., as well as working on a book. You are invited to my site to better explain your lack of knowledge on history, or you can hold to conspiratorial views of history, blaming the Bilderbergers, Trilaterals, or whomever... just not cretins like yourself.

    Good Day.

  • you know that online degrees don't count, right?

  • .

    Just like online comments?

    .

  • an ownage has occured here, and the dish was served by a man named sean.

  • they can get you a job.

  • So many "Uh...I Dont Knows"......

    Hahaha.

  • I just love Maloney, and this is why. It's delightful to see someone who isn't afraid to get up and make these people _think_ about what they claim to believe - and then broadcast the results for the rest of us to see.

  • Evan's awesome. He really keeps things light but is really effective. He's doing alot of good.

  • This is the bitter truth: the majority of people who attend protests in this day and age are generally doint it as a fad are not well educated on what they are protesting. But this is not solely of the left. Go to any pro-war counterdemonstration and talk with the attendees about Iraq and you will find the majority of them are there to fly flags and support US troops "kicking ass" as opposed to comprehensive solutions for the Iraqis.

  • "That's the govrnment's job to figure it out."

The government did figure it out tosspot. they went in there and strung them up.

whatever the middle east will always be fucked.

  • great video.. keep up the great work.. I am here and always grateful..

  • Ron Paul for President!

  • Stupid liberals. Brainless idiots. What makes them dangerous is they vote.

  • Many do vote. But calling them brainless isn't the right tactic. I have talked to many who do not vote because they think every election is rigged. Their conspiracy/victomhood mentality makes it all the better for us to actually win the next election... that is the brainless part!

  • I have talked to many who admit that immigration is a way for them to pull in tens of millions of votes and they don't much care who they are, what they do/their impact, or where they come from.

  • Yes, this is a true statement. Which is why you will see Democrats typically wanting ID's or legalization of illegals... because they know that these folks will vote for the entitlement party (e.g., free health services, welfare, and the like). I might add also to your statement, whether they have TB or not.

  • this is edited and manipulated to make a lot of those people to look dumb. they cut off a lot of people before they could answer. some people were dumb though

  • This has to be the greatest thing ever. Shows these people for who they REALLY are.

  • The irony is that most of the far left members of the YouTube community favor the type of political regime that would disallow a site like YouTube in the first place.

  • They did disarm Iraq! There was no WMD's! Well let's see, GOING TO WAR IS THE WRONG DECISION, everyone knows that now, Haliburton shares has also doubled as well, what a surprise. By going in, we have killed more than 10 Saddams.

  • Do you suppose the victims let out of the rape rooms and torture chambers are relieved you aren't in charge of foreign policy? And did you include the millions of Iraqi Kurds rebuilding their lives after decades of Saddam's oppression when you stated "everyone" knows going to war was a wrong decision? Just curious if you see anything positive in removing a brutal tyrant in your hate America ignorance.

  • This video is for us being in Iraq... just in case you missed the meaning.

  • I applaud what the video says! Awesome delivery method as well!

My questions were directed at meggatonman's ignorant comment from 2 months ago where he claims that some mystical "they" disarmed Saddam and that omg, Haliburton stock went up. He obviously sees something sinister when a logistics company does well in a time of war, or maybe he thinks US leaders are just in it to make a buck? Or maybe he is promoting assassination since we killed more than just Saddam?

  • Great point. I have never got a response equally about another company being able to do what Halliburton does, which is why both Johnson and Clinton (Democrats) used no bid contracts via Vietnam/Kosovo respectively.

  • Patients is a virtue says this guy.

I'm not sure if people in this wolrd are aware. but not every one likes eachother. This isn't a play ground this is a war zone for the last 3,000 Plus years.

  • I love this video. Who is the interviewer?

  • And I'll agree you hire the govt sub most qualified & capable. But if you knew squat about Palestine, the Balfour declaration & the ME's REAL history of imperialist interventions, then you'd know Rothschilds killed off the Jews via Hitler to protect their oil.

  • That was one of the Dumbest things I have ever read! I allowed it so people can see how much of a moron the conspiracy view makes of people.

  • And it explains nothing. You do realize we do NOT have the system envisioned in the Declaration & A's of C? You do know who were the real federalists and who were the posuers who'd happily have had an American monarchy? The bankers behind them?

Tell me oh wiseman - how much Mises, Rothbard or Hayek have you ever read? Or Kolko for that matter?

And name just one fact you can dispute of Griffin's analysis?

  • I have read Mises "Theory of Money and Credit." I have read the book on Socialism by Hayek as well as his "Road to Serfdom." I have read as well "The Case Against the Fed," by Murray Rothbard.

  • Then you've read the only real deal - so which part of the history don't you understand?

I asked you to refute a specific.

  • No, you asked me to refute a thesis put forward in an entire book. I do not wish to write a book in response, thanks.

  • Ok, that nit being picked - name one major thing you can refute Griffin for - just ONE thing???

And what is your brief take on Rothbard if I may?

  • did you read my re-post of the right equaling fascism and the left equaling communism? It is about 5 or 6 posts down on my blog. I will get back to Griffen later. I have 3-days to catch up with my OT class (seminary).

  • What good's that Sean? But I will give you that the Dems lean socialist while the Reps lean fascist. For a real eye opener, chk dunwalke dot com. BTW, I have over 1k hrs of economics & history study under my belt, and love to debate.

  • I have twenty-five years of studying the conspiratorial view under my belt, and have read almost any book about it you can mention (you probably like "Creature from Jekyll Island" econ-man). I posted my response to you at my site.

  • The DNC AND GOP are criminal NWO/CFR/Fed'l Reserve's shill puppets. They conspire wars for profit and care not one wit about Americans unless there's a way they can profit.

  • I will comment on this comment at my blog:

  • Peace protesters, the most hateful pro violent idiots on the face of the earth, what mindless lemmings completely devoid of an original thought.

  • What we do know is that the anti-war protesters of the Vietnam era saw that the oil companies wanted to get their clutches in Vietnam, which has one of the biggest oil reserves in the world. They also saw through the government working in collution with these companies. Like the Saddam regime, the Viet cong made it easier for the government to disguise its true motives.

  • The United States imports almost none of its petroleum from Iraq, but our European allies get a great deal of their energy from that country -- and therefore ardently oppose the idea of waging war. And also note that despite claims by some critics that the Bush administration invaded Iraq to take control of its oil, the first contracts with major oil firms from Iraq's new government are likely to go not to U.S. companies, but rather to companies from China, India, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

  • If we went into Iraq for oil, we haven't gotten any yet. Two books I wish to recommend to you "Why We Were In Vietnam", and, "Vietnam: The Necessary War: A Reinterpretation of America's Most Disastrous Military Conflict".

  • This is obviously a case of selective interviewing. Instead of trying to make the anti-war protestors sound inept, they should provide a sound reason, without lying, why we are in Iraq. Fighting terrorism is a pretext. The moment we gained a foothold in Iraq, Halliburton signed 14 contracts with the new government. Further, the greatest foreign aid per capita comes from Sweden, not the USA.

  • The most liberal Prez had Halliburton rebuild parts of war-torn Asia. But it is only because Halliburton is the only company in the Vietnam era who could undertake such a feat, and they remain so today. So Buddy, here's the question. Can you name one company today that can do what Halliburton can?

  • free market principles and competition at work!
