when i first saw casey anthony and her interviews on tv, before the remains of her daughter were found and before she was charged with murder ... from the very beginning it was obvious to me that she was guilty.

Im finding this case about poor little missing haleigh is hard to pinpoint though , everyone involved in this seems a bit suspicious to me ... i think someone in that family knows something and is not saying something. Its also hard for me to wrap my head around the 17 yr olds story

Oh! I'm not interested in pursuing this matter any further. My post was polite and respectful, and my point (even if I indeed used an extreme example) was just to show that manners, education and knowledge are NOT the most important things in the world, and that uneducated people who do not seek knowledge are not necessarily "untapped resources". So too bad if she took it the wrong way. :)

I was wondering if this 17 year old was a "stay at home care nanny..did she have a part time job as well?Is she legally concidered an adult by Florida Law ?I think there is alot of dirty laundry between father..girlfriend.... and biological mother.

This GF appears to be a stay-at-home GF, who watches the children for her BF.

I don't think there is really any issues with the bio mom and the father. I also didn't see any issues with the bio mom when she spoke about the GF.

why is there so much anti-father sentiment here and in the media? my father had custody of me and my two sisters because he was a better parent.

Not sure why so much "anti-father" stuff going on. This father raised Haleigh since she was 2, so "kudos" to him for sure. Now if he was part of this, I will be pissed, but for now regardless of edication, ability to speak or language used, he loves his daughter Haleigh.

Why doesn't mom have custody? A mom has to be a cannibal serial killer on crack to not get custody. The dad - OMG. "F*@k her birthday"? Nice. I realize this "man" is under the most horrible stress possible but can't control himself long enough to give police very vital info about his child? He has a 17-year-old GF who lives with him & watches his kids? GF seems to be putting on an act. And exdiva69, Nancy is DEFINITELY getting pissed & suspicious. She smells the s*%t of the bull as well.

I'd be swearing myself if my child was missing.

According to the bio mom, she said the notice of her court date for custody was sent to an address in Jacksonville, of which she never lived and she wasn't at the court hearing. I am sure there is a lot of underlying issues regarding the bio mom versus the father and based on that, the court gave custody to the father. The father has raised Haleigh since she was 2.

Um, OK, I smell the s*@t of a bull here . . . What a precious little girl. I'm hoping against hope that they find her alive & OK. Wow. There's so much potential commentary to be made about all the "adults" involved in this trailer park drama; where to start?

I heard the mother had a substance abuse problem and that is how the father got custody....

In the documents filed in court for custody, there was an attached from the bio mom indicating the father is a drug dealer, took drugs, got drunk all the time and drove around with the children. The father said in the court papers "basically he thought she was taking cocaine" and wanted supervised visits, but then change it to unsupervised visits and the judge ruled they have JOINT custody.

3:28 you can see nancy is gettin pissed & suspicious & changes wheels, cuz nancy knows that is BS, the address story reeks in itself, BUT they found the dad in the best interests of the children to keep 'em, she got blown off by the court, come on..WHY? courts dont just take kids away from the bio mom & hand them to dad, was she a druggie, abusive? there ARE other reasons, and nancy gets a lil like she wants to start tearin at her like the lawyers on her show, but holds back due to the situation

We have now the mother alluding to some sort of a custody battle with Ron and then claiming that he somewhat conned his way into getting the kids. She also explains how she learned that Haleigh was not often at school, and claims she doesn't know why. Well, I'm sorry to say, but for a mother who saw her children only every 2 weeks, it doesn't look to me like she enquired much about what the hell was going on with them, nor did she say she ever noticed anything wrong. That is very weird indeed...

I'm not sure how to read the bio mom.  I have to relisten to her conversation with Nancy again. I just thought something was odd when the notice for her to appear in court when to a town she never lived in.

How do you not know if your child is in school? I would damn sure know! Every single day!!! I would phone there & talk to them if the child was not with me but I could never imagine my children not being with me!

Based on what was apparently decided, it appears that the court believed the father was a better parent and was able to provide for his children more so then the mother.

The bio mother may or may not have had some issues. Actually, if the court felt the father was the better of the two, then that is OK with me. He has raised his daughter alone since she was 2. See Greta video 2/11/09 Part 2. The bio mom just gave birth to a girl mis Jan 2009.

If I didn't have my child, I would want to talk to her everyday. Unfortunaley we do not know the situation in either household. The father has only been with the GF for about 4 - 6 months.

She said the father/girlfriend would not let her see/talk to her kids when she phoned. Apparently visitation was for every other weekend.  I still question why an adult (the father) was shacking up with a minor. Also, the 17 year old girlfriend called herself the "mother." She's playing house with another woman's kids.

COMPLETELY AGREED. id like to know, Y the visitation agreement was only every 2 weeks, NORMALLY unless there is a REALLY good reason, courts decide most of the time 4 the mom, unless like i said, there is a great cause, was it that she just agreed to this & didnt wanna be saddled, or is there some other reason, we do not yet know? if she did live this far away & has her mom 2 vouche that she woke her & indeed was sleeping, i dont c how she could be involved, tho certainly not as broke up as id B
