  • Right hip is meant at finish of the swing. Right sided swingers finish with their hip higher rotatingnaround the left. Also could you tell me what you mean by turning the shoulders fully? In the right sided swing we teach a much more rounded shoulder rotation as opposed to a tilted turn that most players have, our guys look like they don't turn properly but they do as they turn around a swing centre that is stable not moving to the right as most people's sternums do. This means that we can tur

  • One more thing do you think that mentioning right wrist angle may be important to mention at address

  • Have to agree with a lot of comments here there are rather a large number of comments made in the video that are incorrect re the right sided swing. We do not teach pupils to turn there left side/ clear as you demonstrate we. Have our pupils understand that the right hip rotates around the left hip and is very high in comparison to swings that encourage a tilted turn. I really wish people would be prepared to research properly before passing on incorrect info

  • @richpga78 I would have made comments about the radial ver ulnar flex, I just didn't think that really has to occur in a golf swing. After watching footage of Right Side swing Tour Players I see that when they play they don't fit the model. In fact It's diffecult to coordinate the inclined rotation of the upper body withno rotation of the lower body and turn the shoulders fully in each direction. Right hip and butt move positively in direction behind axis while left hip moves more forward.

  • @richpga78 right hip high is suggestint that the hips come under the shoulders and there is a loss of pelvic tilt. That doesn't happen with tour players. i look at at right sideed swings from the tour and they don't keep the right hip as high as the left. The upper body inclination is maintained thru out swing with the hips and butt behind the shoulders.... Imposiblity to have the right hip as high as the left without loss of body shape... Are we talking about the same motion???

  • Fanatic I would have to agree That video was done 3 years ago not making excuses but I had two ruptured discs at the time. I don't like the swingsthat I made that much either. Had to go with it sometimes that's what golf is all about. Interesting right side swing still works resonably well even when I was unable to brace properly with functional balance.

  • Bill you are loosing your angles by turning under it , and still have to work on your Body shape at the start ...

Try understanding the difference between Weight and Pressure !

  • Looks good

  • Rt side swing is about understanding body shape and geometry of the arms and wrists in the golf swing. Arms move and pull the body, club face is alwayssquare to the body and the radius is always the same. Discription of what wieght is pressure, discription of angle retension is store-up. It's a new way of saying everything Gary doesn't teach plane, he feels when body doesn't lose shape will move club where it needs to go. However he talks about swing plane in quite bit of his teaching

  • I'm a proponent of any swing I can help somebody mike agreed that the right side swing is very similar in looks to stack and tilt stuff. There are obvious differences and how it's described and what really happens

  • Right leg is not straight it impact

  • u said uve got your 'feet forward' well clearly their not. coz uve got ur left foot more open than ur right. u also show ur left leg straightening (1 min 50) wen u describe impact. and thats not the right sided swing.. ru right side accredited??

  • THE MUTT SWING! (maybe not a bad thing). so, you're a proponent, billy?

most rs golfers i've seen have left shoulder and left arm on same plane. most rs golfers seem stacked throughout and most employ ballard's spring the chest with fast arm release. so this is the MUTT SWING?

  • Billy does a great job in explaining the right sided swing. I could not understand it when the inventor described it.

  • @Kmax051 Thanks Kmax do a video I'd love to help you.

  • that is'nt the right side swing..

  • @brucewhalley actually, it is!
