  • How old is your snapper

  • Nice set up ;)

  • how old is he? and how big will he get?

  • is he an common snapping turtle

  • he needs more water in the tank and maybe put another brick under your filter

  • turtle: man this is great... only if i had a butt buddy

  • finaly someone who takes care of there turtles

  • wow such a big tank 4 1 turle i have seven RES

  • What other turtles can be with him

  • @Bmxrider91111 better only snappers,as they're agressive against other ones, better to keep only one though

  • dude nice, i wanted a 120 originally but could only find a good deal on a used 125 so i went with that, its nice n everything having all that extra length, but man is the 120 easier to move and fit in a place n wider for more things to fit inside. good choice

  • He needs more water.

  • should put more water and raise the rocks and add some more turtles so its full of life !

  • I'm not an expert but if you feed him on some fishes put some plants so he ambushes the fishes and pwn them afterwards.

  • @domagoj905 The common snapper is much more of an aggressive hunter than an ambush predator. The Alligator Snapper is the North American ambush predator.

  • @perpetualwandrer Yea. So common snapper is faster then alligator or?

  • @domagoj905 Faster in what way? Movement yes, that is easily visible in adult specimens. In Striking? Depends, lunge I would say the Common, pure reaction and jaw snap the alligator.

  • can you buy these at a pet shop or do you have to catch them in the wild, and are they leagal in ohio?

  • he needs a friend

  • Looks like a dinosaur with that tail!! =S hahaha Nice setup!

  • Nice tank !

id put as much water as u can without the turtle escaping they love to swim and having a shallow area in the water for them is also good to

  • that is a kewl tank!

  • enjoy cleaning that sand

  • cool snapper! you should check out my turtle vids and subscribe

  • He/she looks funny x3

  • do you think his a bit lonely?

  • @htirah100 they usually live on there own from what ive learned

  • Looks. like a great tank for that size turtle. Check out some turtle videos related to me and my turtles: Georgia DNR, Turtle Theft, Turtle bites reseacher. Type those in on you tube.

  • is that sand? if so where did you get it? is it a specific kind?

  • nice!

  • some people say live plants are a bad idea, but they are way better than plastic, and should be part of their diet. I'd go to a local pet store that sells aquatic plants and get some horn wort, and i have something called spirealis i think. They are pretty hardy and easy to take care of, and they provide natural cover

  • @tbeaver12 in hindsight now, aquatic plants are good if your turtle eats them, otherwise though, they tear the shit out of them

  • Sooo qute!!!!!Big stones on the bottom so he can climbing

  • Doesn't he swim?

  • i have 2 babies just like this one.. one is about 2.5 in and the other is 1in. its only a 20 gallons tank though.. one stays in the cave and the littler one swims everywhere. and is that sand or what is that ob the bottom

  • he's looking around like "damn! did i win the lottery?" nice set up! im moving my snapper into a larger tank soon too.

  • Great tank! I feel so bad when I see pet Snappers stuck in small tanks. I have a baby snapper myself, and he is in a 20 Gallon tank, BUT he is only tiny so it works. Mine does actually LOVE to come out of the water, I bought a turtle stand. He swims alot, But also climbs out and dries off compleatly for a few hours a day. I am not going to argue if they need to or not, But Mine sure enjoys it.

  • HE LOOKZ PEACEFUL

  • You don't need a dry spot for snapping turtles since the only time they come out of the water is when they are laying eggs or if there pond dries up... so I think more water and if you want some dry spot to make it very basic so he doesn't get stuck somewhere... it is a nice tank

  • That is not true. I own a snapping turtle, and I've seen him come out of the water to bask, and I have caught snapping turtles in the wild that were basking. It isn't needed, but if you provide one, they will sometimes use it.

  • mine do

  • i disagree with this guy.. snappers def come out of the water more than to lay eggs. mine do a few times a day. And the suggestion about adding more water was even dumber. Snapper aren't great swimmers so you want the water lever where they can stand on their back legs and be able to stick their nose out. if not the can die of exhaustion.. or get tired from having to swim get air and drown.

And i think you should add some plants and some fish to liven that pad up a bit. nice

  • @dmstrato Actually snappers are fine at swimming, they just aren't nearly as good of swimmers as a basking species. As long as there something for the snapper to rest on and take a breath, there is no worry about them drowning. Personally in this tank I would raise the water level to 60-75% of the tank and add stuff for it to climb on.

  • how big is he

  • how old is he/she?

  • do you have a heater?

  • great tank! i cant wait till mine gets that big

  • I'm not quit sure my dad got it and he's a landscaper but i know it's washed sand you could probably get it a t a building supply center

  • I like your turtle and nice Tank :)

  • Awesome tank! I like your wall scene too with the shark! :) Did you paint that yourself?

    I like your sand substrate.

  • thanks!

and no my mom's friend painted the shark on my wall
