I think Jack Bruce is one the most amazing bassist to ever trod the boards, and 1 of the great voices as well. The breadth of his work is phenomenal (I saw him with Karla Bley), although I do wonder about WBL ($ ?). If I might, with trepidation, commend you to search youtube for Hugh Cornwell/ Robert Williams' version of this song. From Hugh's solo album, "Nosferatu." Hugh is the guitarist for The Stranglers ( they have another great bass player in JJ Burnell).
Frampton is excellent at fappin the axe with all due courtesy to one of the greatest rock n roll voices in rock history... Not to mention Bruce thumpin' the lumber!! Only Ringo could line this shit up!!!
wow Jack looks really beefy here, he was such a skinny lad in the 60's and here he looks like an affluent Laird fresh from his roast Venison and jug of ale...
@mtzlplex didn't realize, that's worth mentioning ... saw Procol Harum at Toad's Place in New Haven in the '90s, amazing, except for the drunken idiot right behind me who yelled out for "Whiskey Train" the whole show
It ain't easy playing fretless bass and singing at the same time. Perfect intonation on the axe and great job on the vox. Jack you still have it dude. You've always been a great influence for all us lowenders and bottom dwellers.
@lolodrums Simon Kirke (Bad Company). Absolutely fantastic and very powerful drummer.Ringo was just a decoration in a bunch of songs. I had a luck to be on this very concert and I will never forget this wonderful 3 hrs of music.
@chriskar5 It'd probably be too demanding to play drums while singing half the set every night. The double drumming works well here. It must have looked impressive live.
@galileo1957 I said in many of songs , not in general. Ringo has never been considered the best drummer anyhow. He has an awesome personality and a great loving heart. He can do pretty good in singing (with a little help of Autotune) and is a wonderful performer and he does not sing while drumming with his All Star Bands. Except of all Beatles were never a heavy rock band and lot of Ringo's guests come from rather strong and heavy rock background. So, no offence , but Simon Kirke may help here.
@lolodrums Ringo comes out in front of the band to sing when he tours on most of the songs he sings during his concerts and he drums along with the other drummer when the other people in the band are singing.
If you like peter here check out the sunshine of your love at the same venue. it is truely amazing he just shreds on that one its is my favorite version of that song.

I'd love to see the three of them do something in the way of an album and tour. That would be awesome.
