I doubt we'll be around much longer. No one seems to comprehend peace and cooperation these days. We live in such a me first society. It's so sad.... I can't wait until Christ comes back. Basically you are calculating straight Gregorian years from the time of the death of Christ (32-33AD), which gives your viewers an estimate. A generation is 70 years, I believe...

I am glad you mentioned the impossibility.

Biblical year begins when barley is Aviv in month of Aviv (if not, one month is added). It is Lunar Year!

If we count that to calculations, the real year/time now could be anywhere between 1980-2009.

We cannot calculate neither year or exact day of His return now, when the time comes; we can see His coming in 50-hour accuracy.

The real key is to look for "shadows of things to come" in bible.

That's why God wants us to keep His Feasts!

Thank you Richard for your insight and for admonishing us to be good Bereans. It is a shame how far teachings of eschatology have rabbit trailed into making up stuff just to suit false teachings. If more true believers would simply read and study the OT prophets in comparison to what is taught in the NT, we probably would have a lot less discrepancies. We can't just jump to Matt 24 and Revelation then start playing guessing games. People need to consult the whole counsel of scripture.

The OT is more relevant for today than most people realize. The Prophets foretold of a time before the end that would be the "darkest" time in history, in so much as it would be called, "Gross Darkness the People". (false Christianity everywhere)

Here we have the very words of Jesus printed in a book, right in our possession, and there STILL remains absolute DARKNESS and NO understanding of truth,.....APOSTASY RULES the DAY!

What an evil time we live....surely, very few will make it through.
