I love this video! We have a rescue pup (11wks old) that was born without the use of his front legs. I built him a quad cart to strengthen his hind legs, neck muscles and get him trained and ready for a front-end cart! This is so encouraging and wonderful! Yeah Princess Daisy!
This has been a real help to us - we have just bought a cart for our Border Terrier - and we are trying to get as much information as we can ahead of actually getting the cart. We have no one in our area with any experience of front limb carts, so we are going to have to do this on-line with other expert families!
Thank you so much for posting this. I was balling within seconds! I have a beagle/basset hound mix that is about a year old. The vet says that the way his front legs are growing, he will be immobile within the next few years if we do not have surgery. The surgery will cost thousands of dollars. I was sure there were other things out there that would allow him to walk with his hind legs only. Where can you find Daisy's cart? Is it expensive?? God bless you and YAY Daisy!!!
Oh thank you for posting these! I just purchased a cart from Eddie's wheels for my pug Benee. He has Degenerative Myelopathy and has some use of his back legs but it's getting worse.
the trainers came up with that they called "Parrot Walking"
we had Daisy up on her hind legs with her forelegs on my arm and slowly moved my arm along above the ground, encouraging her to walk using her hind legs. We'd did that for five minutes three times a day.
after about two weeks she was alternating with her hind legs. We're doing something similar with Tyler as well, but he's taking a little longer to pick it up
Daisy, I am a special kid like you. I just got my front wheeled cart. Can't wait to see more videos of yours. You can check mine out of you would like. How long have you had your wheels????
Hi there! Daisy is snoring away right now. She's been getting lessons from a pair of trainers in town that specialize in disabled dogs every other day for six weeks now.
that sounds like a long time, but it really took a while to get the back legs moving separately instead of together like a bunny (which she was doing when we first got her)
Hi there! Can you offer any tips on how you got her back legs to alternate? Our Gizz does the bunny hop and we can't figure out how to help that. He was born with his deformity, so he's hopped for 7 years. We just rescued him last year an got an Eddie's cart for him last year which he LOVES. He's on Eddie's Front Wheel Cart link with Princess daisy.
Any tips? We LOVE Daisy's joy and wish we lived closer so we could meet her in pawson.
What a brave angel :)

Princess Daisy's bid for World Domination
continues unabated! Progenitor of a new
breed of Super-pugs: half pug, half machine!?
Here in Europe we are perhaps safe for a little longer...but we're stockpiling all
essential supplies in underground bunkers!
Vive La Princesse!
