Wonderful car, astonishing job with this big and famous engine. Wonderful restored - better than new I assume. Now with the crate 426 HEMI the car now is as fast as it looks like -->> look forward design from Virgil Exner - the best looking car ever.
always wanted to know what it looked like to have a hotrod 300 i had a model one when i was a kid that i lowered and put a corvette 427 in then a pontiac 455 lame ik haha
@800hotrod5: Maybe...............I've heard that many cars hooked up with the Torqueflite might be able to hit 150 with enough HP, but even with 700+ under the hood, 170 might be pushing your luck a little bit unless you modified the gear ratio.....Then it wouldn't be so hard.
The only thing that was changed was the drive train. The exterior and interior are completly stock, with one or two minor changes, like a decent sound system and an AC that works. The car as been to several Chrysler club events and the so-called experts there had no clue the car had been modified until the hood was popped. Then they either loved it, or hated it (probably because they didn't think of it first).
@tommyau2006 It seems to me that the car is kept alive. It originally came with a HEMI. It originally had a Torqueflite. It originally could have been obtained with wide whites and Kelsey Hayes wire wheels. What's the problem? Sweet ride with a few modern conveniences/safety items. I think it is great!
I wish I was interested! Got to finish my project first. Buildin' a 73 challenger. Going to be a restomod. Not a real desirable car to many but, it is straight, rust free, complete and only has 58,000 on the odo. Sat in a co-workers garage for 15+ years. Got a deal of a lifetime. Now if I could just finish it before I die............
As a matter of fact it was featured in Hot Rod magazine in March of 2006. I got this car mixed up with another one when answering your comment the first time.
now THATS a CAR

I'm back with top speed thoughts...170 MPH?

I would think so. It has a 727 Torqueflite w/ Gear Vendors overdrive unit hooked up to that beast of a motor.

these cars should be in stock original condition. You have ruined a true classic car

We didn't ruin a thing.

Just hit up your website. Very cool the car was not hacked up too much. Any plans for the Windsor or Imperial?
megametalshred 4 years ago
No plans for them yet. I think the boss wants to build them for someone. You interested?

Was this car featured in hotrod magazine? If so, which issue? One bitchin' ride! Extremely envious!

Not yet, but soon. Keep an eye out for it one of the mags.
