  • Why do I love jazz? This music is why.

  • thats quite the kit for a jazz gig

  • @super133t Lol.

  • Was this live date ever issued on CD or LP - anybody knows? Many thanks in advance!!!

  • loverly

  • This is OUTTA SIGHT...toe tappin head boppin material for sure!

  • John Coltrane once said: Ve would all be playing like Stan Getz -- if we could !!

  • the chromatic ll-V harmony in the B-part is KILLING me, can't get it done properly on piano

  • @hellskitchen123 Try taking a lick, then playing the same lick up a semitone. Once you've got that down, try another lick. Then try adding variations as you go up until you resolve it with the minor ii-V-i back into the A.

  • yeeah,yeeah!

  • very good!:-))

  • Barron's piano playing is at all times elegant, intelligent, urbane, sophisticated and creative. Its always a great pleasure to hear this most underated modern jazz pianist. Thanks for uploading this video. Much appreciated.

  • @ErictheJazzer wait till the idiots pull it like they did with a recent one. good luck!

  • Barron最高すぎる!

  • damn, kenny barron is just amazing :p great performance.

  • Terri Lyne Carrington is the bomb

  • Dude, Barron tears it up!

  • How much do jazz musicians make now? I mean at a high level?

  • not enough

  • not even close to enough. good call mr hitman

  • nothing.

  • @ilikemusicverymuch,nothing?:-=))

  • @ilikemusicverymuch,nothing?:=-))

  • Slows down quite a bit.

  • Awesome Getz' solo, 5:05 to 5:20 is real pretty.

This solo has great stuff, transcribed it last night and really enjoyed picking through it.

    Nice material, cool tune.

  • quite a bit yeah! lol. kenny barron impro rocks it.

  • @tkrol62 Because it is a woman drumming.

  • @SoDirtyYetSoClean I'll let you think a bit on that comment for a bit. Hopefully after a couple of days you'll realize the stupidity of that comment. Until then, god help you if you ever play a gig with killing jazz musicians that happen to be women. And Barron and Getz would not waste their time with musicians not good enough to play in their circles. No need to be sexist, me friend.

  • @pickinstone Haha dude, I was just being an ass hole! I don't know much of Terri's work but obviously if she is playing with this line up, she is killin it! + She sounds really good on this track. Just making fun of an stupid observation "Slows down quite a bit" by making an even more stupid observation. Just a dry joke is all :P

  • @SoDirtyYetSoClean check out Terri's more recent gigs, even Herbie Hancock praises her. I played with a drummer who happened to be a woman and she was killing on the sticks herself. Just frustrating because the minute we see that a musician is female and/ or very young we fail to hear the music and become fixated on the person. Music is primarily for the ears. Look at what happened to Adele with being a little over weight and a pop star. Amazing singer, but not as popular because of her weight.

  • The drummer is Terri Lyne Carrington.

  • What do you mean? Eddie del Barrio? This is Stan Getz quartet! Stan Getz, saxophone, Kenny Barron, piano, Alex Blake, bass. The execellent drummer I have not seen before.

Anyone know who the drummer is?

  • Eddie del Barrio? Is that really his name?

  • woman at drums...wonderfull! molto bello!

  • I love it !
