@dashawtyuwish4 The best advice I can give u is to either go to ULTA and sample the different shades to see which one is the right one for you. I dont want to suggest something and it come out wrong. Let me know if you find out your shade! And thanks for watching! :)

ok i got the the dark kit ans im a little darker than you and the golden dark was too red? my skin is like yellowish.. and it just didnt match

How long do you use the foundation before you run out? Also does it rub off on clothes fast, and how long does it last during wear?

@jordanlne08 Depends on how often as well as how much product you put on you face. That determines how long to use the foundation before you run out. Of course you want to replace makeup. Never want to keep it longer than need be. I have never had a problem with this foundation running off on my clothes. IT STAYS PUT! And it last all day!

I finally got the bare minerals foundation after watching your vid so long ago! I had the MA put it on me at Ulta and I must say that I didn't like it at first because it looked a bit chalky but I took some time to look around the store again and when I looked at it again I loved it. It just takes a little bit to settle in but it only looks better the longer you wear it. Thanks for the review chica!

ATTENTION TO ALL AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMEN: If you use this product the key to not looking ashy or dry is to MOISTURIZE and to not use so much of the mineral veil on the sink. If your face is moisturized, the foundation will look much better on the skin as well as more of a flawless look. Also when using the mineral veil, DONT CAKE IT ON.

These are my little tips and tricks to help everyone out.

Along with the moisture that hubombshell suggested, the primer is good too. All you need is a little. It doesn't put that chalky look on me.

Thanks for the review! I actually went with Pur Minerals after the sales rep at Ulta told me Bare tend to make a woman of color look ashy b/c of one of the ingredients. BYW I am a NC 50 in Mac Studio Tech.

I bought the BM starter kit today before finding tons of information online about the irritating effects of Bismuth Oxychloride. I have sensitive skin & am afraid that I will have a reaction. I am strongly considering switching to Everyday Mineral.What is your opinion, should I try to return it before it's too late?

I have been using BM since Decemeber of 2008 & have never had any problems with it at all. In my opinion, its been one of the better products that I have used. I would suggest to u if u are nervous about using it dont use it & return is ASAP. I dont recommend anything to cause skin types and sensitivity is different from another person I just do reviews on products that I find are great. If u see on my channel I have VERY FEW reviews cause I only do products worth reviewing. Hope this helps! :)

For me, it is not true. I always moisturize my face before applying any makeup.

Its good that you are trying to weight out the pro and cons before buying a product! lol I need to do that sometimes. But in all honesty, I never do a review on a product that I dont believe in. I always do reviews on products that are worth a review! Hope this helps! :)

you look more like a warm deep to me unless it is the lighting. The deep deep was way too dark for me. If you have used the mac minerals powder can you do a comparion review for us?

I'm confused about the comment of the concealer brush between different color kits. Why would the brush be different between kits?

I dont know why they are different, but they are. In the darker kits its not a concealer brush. In the lighter kits they are a concealer brush. So the difference, I wouldnt be able to tell you.

Hey!! Thank for this review. I am thinking of investing in the Bare Minerals Foundation. I have 2 MAC foundation but i am noticing that i am breaking out not crazy but, every time i put on the foundation i have a new pimple.. I am a MAC NW 50 so would you recommend this foundation tone or would I have to go darker.

Your welcome! I'm glad you found this review to be useful. What I would suggest you do is go to a retailer that sells the Bare Minerals and use the testers to determine your skin type. You are either the deep kit like deep kit or the darkest deep I think they call it. I tested the two types and determined which one matched my skin tone better. I stop using Mac Foundation cause I had the same problems as well.

Really! I still love MAC for the coverage, but the pimple is getting out of control. So, so far are you getting any break out from the Bare Minerals. Oh i have very very very oily skin, does the BM control your facial oil? Or do you suffer from oily skin like myself.

Trust me I still love MAC but had to change it up a bit. I don't have oily skin but I have notice a positive change in my face since using the BM. The color is even and my skin is smoother. This is also contributed to my daily face routine that I do. I dont have any break outs cause I really dont suffer from acne or anything
