  • some great inforamtion here thanks

  • can i know what are the hardware that is used ?

and how much it cost ?

  • École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne

  • What exactly is going on in the video? Why does the woman have to watch flashig columns and rows of letters and numbers?

  • @3ras3r123 As it says. Typing text without using finger. If the line flashes up in which the letter is, that she want your brain will send out a signal. Go to Wikipedia an look for Neurofeedback.

  • nice

  • Was her brain trying to spell out EPic FaiL?

  • See this BCI, its world's lowest cost BCI.

    youtube.com/watch?v=KD1KxYuUtNw

  • youtube.com/watch?v=KD1KxYuUtNw

  • goood...

  • we may have rescue software for coma patients in near future, or one day, rewrite an OS to brain deads

  • what does EPFL means?!

  • FAKE, blondes have no brains...

  • @MoskowFreak1111 What world do you live in ????

  • @skatebboard don't like a joke, ignore it

  • a possible use might be to test the brain responses of people in coma

  • @shams582 Electroencephalography is already used to confirm that the patient is in a coma state. However, Brain-computer interfaces are used experimentally on patients that suffer from the locked-in state (paralysis of nearly all voluntary muscles) by doing the cursor test (similar to the one that was used in one of the episodes of House MD) or by evoking the P300 potential, which can be seen on this video.

  • EPFL = Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne

    bande de bobet....

  • imagine the possibilities... the government could read everyones mind... sounds all fuzzy wuzzy to me.

  • When is blue brain going to have an demo?

  • hmm p300

  • Imagine the possibilities...

We could examine dreams and nightmares from a logical point of view, as opposed to being scared and not understanding...Giving us a better understanding of psychology, we could see what it is like for a person who is stuck in a coma, people suffering from dementia, maybe even what a person sees as they die.

  • Not lame at all, I´m thinking medical, would it work with tetraplegic patients? I would think so, then further... Loved it.

  • oh maybe EPFL stands for EPic-FaiL

  • "EPFL"l... wow...

  • hahahha i thought she was going to write something interesting...then all we get is EPFL

  • @talkisreal22

I think you should know that EPFL possibly stands for Ecole Polytechnique Francais Lausanne or sth. like that ...meaning Lausanne Institute of Technology. Lausanne is a Swiss town sitting on the Geneva Lake (Lac Leman)

  • @killerbiller35 now that's just amazing :) EPFL is really one of the best in universities in Europe

  • if you want something really interesting and cutting edge, check out Emotiv headsets

  • I would write TITS

  • lame

  • It may not look impressive, but this is cutting edge technology. One day technology like this will allow us to directly record memories and dreams, or even produce movies, music or artwork directly from our imaginations. Not to mention Matrix style full immersion virtual reality.

    lame? No, sir.

  • @URProductions But can I delete memories from by brain because I would love to run Ccleaner on my brain every night.

  • @URProductions dreams cannot be recorded, because we are (usually) in places that never existed and while imagining or dreaming we cant add too much detail,so if we cant imagine or dream something correctly how can the computer record it right? The virtual reality already exist (there are special helmets) but its dangerous for the brain so for now it "doesnt exist". I hate people that think its that easy to create technology *POOF* I created something that will make me a millionair in a second!

  • @URProductions yes yes, but this also will get in wrong hands and will wash thousands of thousands peoples brains. and make us think what government or someone else wants to.

  • @MultiTail I fuckin' agree with you. This shit's scary as fuck and probably a bad idea.

    But it's not lame.

  • @URProductions

an eeg as an input device, yeah. this monitoring hardware exist since years, except it requires like, a supercomputer to extract, decipher and convert the brain signals into exploitable.

we also need to develop the algorithms to exploit that. (bye scanners, cameras , keyboards and overpriced wacoms ! ) the thing i disagree with, is the data going the opposite way, from the computer to the human brain. enjoy dreaming with ads, and have your own soul considered a simple software.

  • @patachu666 Yeah , it's gonna be hard to tell until we actually try it out. All I gotta say about it is if you're gonna play with fire, be careful.

  • @URProductions i kinda wish we could go into a virtual because that would be so cool. But do you think it is possible because i do.

  • @URProductions i think a lot of "illegal" movies would be pruduced this way, like murder, CP and so on.. lol
