Personally, I much prefer listening to Jerry Lee's country than his rock 'n roll.

His country singing was awesome during the golden years of his country period, the late 1960s. he had several country hits during that era, and this is my favorite (the 45 rpm version.)

By the way, at 2:26 he makes an expression that really reminds me of his first cousin, televangelist Jimmy Lee Swaggart, who also plays piano Jerry Lee-like (but not as well.)

Jerry was really a great entertainer! My favourite since -69! But now he lost about 80% of his ability! Sorry to admit it. Chuck Berry has deliverd shit concerts for many,many years not even bothering to tune his guitar. He just wants his stack of US and leave exactly after 59min and 59 sec! Sad end to such a fantastic artist and songwriter! He wrote the best songs ever in RocknRoll!

when I just came upon this. Although you call

it a "lesser" known song, this was a huge hit

in 1969 and spent two weeks on #2. It sure is

one og his greatest Country songs. The original recording is with strings which make
