My advise to you and anybody that reads this, is that if you are good guitar player, don't know how to play at all or just started learning how to play guitar and you wished you owned a guitar like this one. You just have to work hard to own one, maybe dream a little, (sometimes dreams come true), but don't be intimidated to get your dream guitar, because it's going to help you and encourage you to practice more and get better.
This tremolo is the closest to a Floyd Rose, it's strong, but not enough to go too crazy with it, you can dive-bomb once in a while but I don't think you can get too crazy because, it's not lock at the nut, it will stay in tune for normal use.
do you like the tremolo? hwo does it compare to a Floyd? can you go crazy with it? does it have the same range (pulling-up and dive-bombing)? any tuning problems? thanks!
Hey dude great guitar and great playing as well. People like Nicoplos need to really shut the hell up and grow up. You are right dude if you have the JPX it doesn't mean you have to be his clone. All you have to do is be the best guitar player you can be and be as original as possible. That dude needs to grow up don't take him seriously!
@nicoplos Of course he deserved it. He worked and payed for it with his own hard earned money. He deserves every equipment he buys. Then it is arguable if one needs such professional equipment if their skills won't make use of it - that is however an entirely different matter. Bottomline; He deserves it and you're just jealous. im not jealous, i couldn't even have this setup if i can't play something similar to petrucci. i preffer stay with my strat (cheap-generic chinesse one) and play what i can play. i preffer no ostentation. if you don't know how to drive, then you won't have a Ferrari.

If this was the case then no one would have his guitar since no one can play like him. Personally, I buy whatever feels good to play. I'm not a pro-guitarist but I still bought a JP6 because it feels pretty damn awesome aswell as sounding great. I can cover a few DT songs and DT is all I play but I'm nowhere near Petrucci's level of skill.

Personally I don't see a problem with people buying pro gear even though they don't really need it yet based on their skills. And I don't see how you can react so extreme to the fact that he doesn't need that guitar. You talk about the guitar like it has feelings xD OK I admit I have been talking to my Dee Dee (it's a Dargie Delight 2) but I mean, c'mon xD If he wants to spend lots of money on gear he don't need, let him ^_^

@nicoplos She's a beauty for sure! I'll upload some jams when I get my recording equipment. Currently I've just recorded a few(like 3 videos) of some DT songs with the mic on my laptop so pretty crappy quality.
