It is about the sad reality of war, that it is vicious process that never seems to end. And the song is about loss. The song is for all those that have lost someone in the line of duty. @dajesusblues I am over 50 and since i was 15 I have opposed and fought against war. it's a disgusting waste of life always has been. My father died from wounds from his tours in Vietnam. I will always fight anyone who says "we need" wars. It's BS and they usually know it. And I HATE beyond reason those who put down or condemn those people we ask to go to that dirty work for us. @83UT59 Tell him to enjoy the time he is there. As a former 11A I will tell you, life is pretty dull when it ends. I once though I had done nothing in my time in the unfriendly areas. A man came up to me when he learned where I had been and suddenly gave me a hug and, with tears in his eyes, told me we gave his people a chance to be what they could. He is making a difference.
