While in SC, Rick Santorum brought up and then went on and defended the Crusades. Look it up. He is a die hard Roman Catholic and his father is from Italy--the home of the Vatican. Anyone paying attention should be scared shitless about having Santorum in the White House. This should come as no surprise as it is human nature that people in priviledged positions will fight against any change to the status quo. It is up to the people to demand change.

@sramcs I would argue that the actual results are "rigged" and I would say that the boots on the ground support for the other candidates are a result of not enough people turning off their televisions and doing the research for themselves. The problem with people in America is that they don't do enough research - no, they let the corporate media do all the research for them. And they trust too many "official" sources. And they read books without thinking about the information they're getting.

The more I listen to Ron Paul, the more I like him. I just finished listening to John Moe's book, "Conservative Me" (ala "Supersize Me"), and I'm feeling a lot as he did by the end of his experiment. He set a certain period of time to steep himself in everything conservative, to see if he could be convinced that his ultra-liberal views were misguided and conservatives had it right. He came away recognizing that we are divided more by political parties than by our core beliefs.

With respect to Dr Paul, The Constitution does not include a magic incantation that officially declares war on another nation: "I do declareth war upon ye, hencewith!"

The Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 was Congress declaring war upon Iraq. It's this type of quibbling that turns people off on Paul. The war(s) only represented 15% of the Budget Deficit for those years.
