  • The Humming is what makes this music so kick ass

  • It is so weird, all of my friends love the games of today like COD and Halo besides the few that have good taste in gaming. I respect their opinions, but COD over this? Oh my god WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO! I remember playing this all day back in 2003 when I was only 4 and flying through Windy Well. Now, Windy Well is so tough. I guess I was better when I was 5. The soundtrack in this series is so touching to hear again, it's like you are in darkness and have finally found light to lead the way.

  • from 1:25 to 1:44 sounds like the inside of isla de la muerta from pirates of the caribbean

  • this was a big push for the snes back in it's day 17 years old now. dk went down hill after it left the snes not the same in 3d than 2d

  • GOOOOOOOOOOOD!

  • they should put this on music charts , show people why anyone over 20 hates lady gaga

  • Hearing this makes me realize what a bitter, old man I've become and I love every fucking second of it lol

  • I remember, as a kid, that in the part at 0:35-0:55 I always felt sorry for diddy and dixie, being left alone without kong :(

  • I love when the Zingers start buzzing along to the song just before it loops again.......ahhh the memories! So glad this game made it to the Wii's Virtual Console!!

  • this song makes me feel like 8 years old again!!! OMG the memories! countless nights with my cousins playing this game.... ahhh good ol' 90's I MISS THEM :'(

  • why is people mentioning cod here?

  • Ohh my fuckin god 1:25 part make me feel so oldtimechills :')

  • Every time I got to a level with this music I went crazy. Definitely one of the best tracks in the game. I was 12 when I got this game. I'm 28 now. I just have one question. Why don't they make anything like this anymore?

  • such beautiful music.

DKC2 has easily the best music of any video game ever

2nd place is DKC1 and third is super metroid.

  • Where did all the good days go eh? I remember playing this when I was 9, It was usually a everytime game we played when we were inside. Watching gameply of it now (i'm 18 years old now), makes me wanna buy a super Nintendo, and this game....Plus a bunch of other games I used to play.

  • The music of my childhood, i've been searching this song for a while, but I found it!!!!

Now....I'm listening and I'm regaining my memories, when I used to play DK, one of my favorite games until now!!!

  • Hayooooooshooo hooo hooo wololooooo!!! Bom bam du bom bom bam!!

  • @SuperDeutrano - my guess is little kids these days jealous of what we got to grow up with :D or just some haters, no matter what there are ALWAYS haters.

  • a very serious question

who know the answer please reply

    how someone does dislike it?

  • I love all Donkey Kong games to be honest. 99% percent of them are good. Very rarely do I not like one. But I must say, out of the first three Donkey Kong Country games, Diddy's Kong quest was by far my favorite, both in gameplay and soundtrack.

  • David Wise is a genius, this game was my childhood, I love my super nintendo - truth be told I still play it all the time. This is the epitome of nostalgia, not sure if to cry or to smile when listening to this hah... in any case it's truly amazing.

  • 7 people couldnt make it to the top of the level...

  • innovative :) who would've though that a level in the lava world would be in a mine?

  • Game designers, y u no kewl anymore

  • i wish my faggot friend didn't break my snes, he ripped the a/v cables out so hard it broke the internal part and the wires. he is no longer my friend.

  • venha ver o especial de musicas do game donkey kong country 2 diddy's kong quest esse video esta no meu canal clic no meu canal em baixo do meu comentario e veja o video inscreva-se e comente o video valeu

  • No lyin.. I remember I had the dkc 1 & 2 book where you read about the adventure AND I got all 3 dkc's on SNES. sadly they are the only games on SNES I still have left (I lost the rest during KATRINA :-(()

  • @airpip1 thats horrible, what'd you lose?

  • esa cancion me quedo maracado de niño no podia pasar una tepa que tenia esa musica T_T que recuerdos me trae

  • Kannons Klaim is my favorite DKC2 lvl :)

  • Man, i am really glad I got to play one of these games, even this one back in my childhood. I can't imagine what it be like if i didn't play these classics.

  • I'm totally playing Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 during this Christmas break. I just have to make it through next week ^^

  • @Spholx2 I'm totally getting DK2 for Christmas for my SNES I found out in the garage but for whatever reason my old copy wasn't there. Fuck yeah.

  • I love this game so much and this music is so amazing :) . Nowadays games are nothing like this anymore and that's a shame, but i still play classic games such as the Donkey Kong Country games :)

  • I replayed this music for close to an hour and it said I replayed this music 15 time. I just can't get this tune out of my head. >.<

  • I feel sorry for kids nowadays! all they know is halo Modern warfare and and games that end before you even have a chance to begin enjoying them.

  • this was one of my favorites thatd get stuck in my head, it had a real funky vibe to it

  • I bought this soundtrack. I was pissed because this song isn't on it for some reason. :/

  • Man this reminds me of Phil Collin's In The Air Tonight. D:

    Still amazing.

  • Some times i wonder where r this kind of music in the new games? Cause good games with good sound ttacks like this one are a hit

  • @MrJunior2330 Sometimes I wonder,"where r" the grammar lessons.

  • My favorite soundtrack to any video game ever and one of my favorite games!

  • estaa es la mejorrr

  • I used to imagine the kremlin pirates were in the background humming to this tune while carrying out their mining labors. Good times... lol :)

  • Back when they were still being fairly creative with games.

  • @Alamandorious totally agreed.

  • Dk would beat the shit out of Cod any day.

  • @ThrasherNation Im all for DK, its why im here, but im pretty sure rifles vs monkeys, guns win.

  • @sk8er4ever0101 no. Bullets bounce off donkey kong. He can only die by touching walking crocodiles and giant bees.

  • @sk8er4ever0101 Tell that to the monkeys in Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

  • @ThrasherNation Any Ape would lol

  • @ThrasherNation F.P.S = Fucking Pussy Shit

  • @ThrasherNation Nintendo in general would beat Microsoft and Sony combined. Sega is kinda with Nintendo because I have about 25 sega games on Nintendo consoles.

  • isso sim q eh musica de jogo!!!! ^_^

  • Ugh, this brings back bad memories of Windy Well....

  • has wii version of game had snes version and has gba version too luky me

  • Change my life. T-T

  • Born in 87 lived through the 90's. I AM DAMN PROUD OF IT TOO!

  • i was born in 98, and wa lucky enough to have two older brothers that knew what they were doing. they used to fire up the super nintendo all the time and let me watch how to play real games. now, we still play occasionally.

  • I think the percussions in this tune is inspired by Metal on Metal / Metall auf Metall by Kraftwerk. Just listen to the "The Mix"-version of Metall auf Metall, it's pretty similar.

  • They just don't make them like they used to anymore, I feel sorry for the children who have to grow up with the games of today over this pure epicness. The soundtracks alone are mesmerizing.

  • I recently noticed this track sounds a lot like "They Don't Care About Us" by Michael Jackson, so I made a mashup of the two songs synced together, and it came out sounding really cool. I was SO EXCITED ... and then I found out it's been done, like, 3 times already. Oh well ... I might end up submitting it anyway, just to see what people think of it.

  • i love the mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!

  • This game is my fucking childhood. This brings back so many memories ;_;

  • It doesn't sound Donkey Kong.

  • @sskorpiana Then you didnt play this game ;)

  • @sskorpiana Then you didnt play this game ;) [2]

  • @Zuuh17 I did play. I has zsnesw to be my SNES emulator, and I still have it.

  • Melhor de todos *_*

  • Best minecraft soundtrack! Mining diamonds :D

  • Every musical piece within this game is so classic, let alone the game it's self. This particular song when I first played this in late 1995 and early 1996 on super nintendo reminded me of the Michael Jackson song "Who Is It", and still does so today.

  • I did a remake/remix sort of thing with this song, it's probably not as good but hey I tried, have a listen guys, watch?v=EErEzZXcCDY

  • If I could, I'd dance to this one.

  • donkey kong has the best soundtracks, stickerbrush is the best one though

  • I noticed something... There is an almost un-noticeable sound effect in this music that is the same as the one of the Steel Keg hitting the griund in DKC! If you don't believe me, try it yourself!!!

  • Great song, Although I prefer calling it "Kannon's Klaim".

  • Diddy''s Kong Quest, what about Diddy Kong's Quest?

  • @Jonamon Diddy's Conquest

  • @Jonamon Do you get it? Conquest Kongquest Diddy's Kong Quest

  • Can't find words to describe how good this games' soundtrack is.

  • 1990-1999 > The best period of my life

  • @Tr3s3ntos same

  • @Tr3s3ntos Same man.

  • @Tr3s3ntos haha I was born in 1995, luckily I got friends who were older than me so I got to play all the SNES and some NES games! =D I feel soo enlightened compared to nowaday gamers... 11 year olds talking about headshotting someone... where has the world gone. Wow I owe nintendo my childhood! =D

  • Like how did they make such great music out of a SNES game?

  • @tritanproductions Rare had David Wise... Need i say more

  • *snes

  • @garaoftheefunk lol I love the sneak cause it was my favorite birthday present when I was 6....and im 13

  • My classmates are shoutin' me down, if I start to tell them about great games like DKC or Zelda. They dont know what they are missing. I only can feel sorry fro them.

  • @ZoraLink98 Ì know,dude,I know..Am I the only one at my school playing classics T.T?

  • @rokemon101 SNES is the best. This is coming from a 15-year old..

  • @GaraOFtheeFUNK

    Same here, man.

  • @rokemon101 I feel like that sometimes too. And the friends I DID know who also played classic games have already graduated. I'm the sole survivor now...

  • @DunkleMaterie117 Your so right dude. But if they dont want, we cant force them to.

  • @ZoraLink98 Never stop waving your sorry fro

  • @ZoraLink98 I know right? Can you believe no one wanted to play mario kart on the snes with me? Its OUTRAGEOUS!

  • @Bibhii Yes, it is. You feel lonely then. I'm very happy that my family played these games with me when I was younger... Well, anytime, if I'll have some kids, when I'm grown up, I can tell them about these games and they will tell their kids about it, and then they theirs and and and...

  • @ZoraLink98 true dat :D

  • This is why the 90's was sooooo great!

  • I've subscribed - DKC2 had the best sound track of all 3 SNES DKC games.

  • Comment removed

  • but, this soundtrack is so sad, listen 1:24 to 1:43, is so sad.......

  • 1:25 - 1:45 is so epic

  • the best game ever..

  • was this not the best plat former of all time...the music the levels the awesomeness

its one of the older games but the graphics ages so well

    v10

    a10

    disagree i dare ya =P

  • my god i miss this game...emulators are just not the same

  • @Targus2142

Then buy a SNES on Ebay or something :D They aren't too expensive.

I found a working DKC2 on Ebay for like, $30 or less, I forgot.

  • @SaikoTaiko i should do all i need is the console i have the game somewhere =P

  • dixie is the only black girl who looks good with blond hair

  • It's been around 10 years since i heard this song, nostalgia man. Hit me in the face and ran, then came back with a second controller

  • Is it just me, or does this sound a little like some of Rare's music in Goldeneye 007 64 at times?

  • @mesjr94 I'll bet that this song has been sampled in hip hop somewhere. Probably just not from any big artists. I know a guy that made a beat from the Bramble Blast theme, slowed it down and added a couple small extras. It was so sick. Epp - Coming Down; If you were interested in listening.

  • 5 people could not find the DK Coin.

  • @DeathTeachings

F*CK the DK coin for this level.

  • Timbaland's dad must've made this

  • This is definatly going in the mine level of my Donkey Kong Fan Game

  • Why hasnt this been sampled in hip hop ... This would make a nice beat... Awesome song

  • LOL who would believe you if you told anyone that this came from a game where you control monkeys, breaking barrels, collecting bananas and stomping pirate crocs? LMAO.. Definitely a game that's well ahead of its time...

  • @TheDeathBukkake This is the difference between a good game and a EPIC game

  • Squawk had a nice shaft.

  • I can play this song on piano. It the only song i can play. But it the only one that is important to me.

  • @jajassa1 I recently learned how to play the humming section on the violin, it's sooo haunting but beautiful too ;~;

  • This made me cry... No, not the song (well a little), but that it cuts off at the 2nd loop of the best part of the song

  • I know where all the DK coins are in this game.

  • Well 5 people .... aaah fuck them this song is just to great :D

  • Well its official...I know what game I am playing tonight

  • 1:25 - 1:45 puts me on a hug nostalgia trip. I swear this game, Donkey Kong Country 2, has the best soundtrack of any game ever made. Ever.

  • @thekiller678 Huge*

  • For me, 1:24-1:44 is the best. I'm not quite sure why but that's the part I always look forward to!

  • @xxmjhdrumbabyxx Same here dude

  • yesss :D

  • como e que 5 pessoas nao gostam da melhor musica de todos os donkey kong

  • Dk 2 um dos melhores jogos de Super Nintendo que ja saiu Muito Perfeito xD! As Musicas são muito boas!

  • 5 dislikes? Must be people who couldn't beat Kannon's Klaim. Disliking this should be a crime. This is art at its finest.

  • when i was young, i HATED this fuckin level. i had no control over squaks. now that i'm more experienced, i can pass it with my eyes closed. listen up kids, thats that 15+ years of gaming does for you.

  • @strangesymplexx lol i've heard this song like a thousand times and not once have i noticed that

  • How is this melancholic? lol

  • 5 people obviously don't know a good game when they see one. -_-

  • I can't believe a critic actually said they didn't like this game's soundtrack because it sounded to "too much like game music". Well no shit this is fucking video game music!

  • @rootbeer543 This hardly sounds like video game music. I mean, this is 16 BIT MUSIC. And it sounds like a symphony of a Hans Zimmer level orchestra.

  • @MessengerOfDreams Well this game has an awesome soundtrack. Yeah some of this music did seem fitting for Pirates of the Caribbean. But I mean come on, disliking a video game soundtrack because the video game music sounds too much like video game music? That's like saying you don't chicken because it tastes too much like chicken.

  • @rootbeer543 Who said that?

  • @Ace2066 Michael Alfera: "I really don't like the DKC2 soundtrack much at all. I hardly even listen to it, for one simple fact: It sounds *way* too gamey"

  • @rootbeer543 think he meant retro but still stupid comment.

  • @tomatoedrama1 Well still this game IS retro after all. lol But he also said it sounded "too game-like".

  • @rootbeer543 and damn good video game music at that

  • @mothman1997 Hell yeah. Best SNES soundtrack of all time imo.

  • @rootbeer543 yeah and another thing that critic should've known was that the year was only 1995 when this game came out

  • @phily4life He was just stupid. Video game music is obviously going to sound like video game music.

  • @rootbeer543 What??? Whoever said that should be taken straight to the madhouse.

  • @gustavohorn That's exactly what I thought. lol Well its video game music so why the hell should it fit music that should be in a game? Gee I wonder. haha

  • Im glad i had this game... Im also glad I have the MP3 version of this song... as good as Hot Head Hop in my Opinion

  • CD quality.

  • This is what I think of if somebody says Donkey Kong.

Amazingly atmospheric music that is more than meets the ear. At first sounds cool enough, but it has this emotional undertone that makes it all the more impressive...

  • @Vianerd1 Yeah, that's the thing. A lot of songs are up front and to the point with what they represent. But the Donkey Kong Country series' music...carries emotion behind a shield then it slaps you upside the ears withcatchy video game beats while jamming ambient pictures into your eyes and surgically inserting fealings into your subconcious. All the while dressed as a monkey.

  • You know this sounds really good if you can operate more than one page playing this music at the same time. Even if its a little off it sounds cool.

  • Man, they don't make them like they used to.

  • Born in 1988 and proud of it. I'd give anything to relive those classic gaming days.

  • 痺れる

  • the game that marked my childhood. Just hearing the songs I remember everything. perfect

  • I'm glad there was no time on DKC games so i could listen to the music as long as i wanted

  • @Velexian I did the exact same thing, woow good to know I was not the only one doing that :S and not only in that lvl, in DKC1 and DKC3 I also do that with varios soundtracks. I remember my mom asking me "Are you gonna play? or leave so I can watch my Drama Show" lol!

  • This music is what separates me from the stress of Calculus. its very relaxing.

  • I remember being 4 years old and watching my big sis play one of the levels with this music when this game cam out in '95. It's one of the earliest memories I can still remember. Man, how time has passed.

  • the music in this game was banging, this was definitely my favorite song from the game.

  • Diddys Kong Quest = Diddys Conquest

  • @MrSureyoucan Lol, I think everybody knows that....

  • @MrSureyoucan Wow; Thumbs up a 100 times lol

  • thumbs up you think this game has the best soundtrack

  • @Damandingninja

It sure has. David Wise proved he is the best videogame-composer of our time.
