  • p looks like it have more perfected brightness then i, thats the only dif i saw!

  • Lol. I didn't see the difference before 1:29 .

  • Well since I have an old fashioned tube T.V. I guess it doesn't matter which one I have. But I have noticed when it comes to Flat Screen T.V.'s it looks better in 480p. Until I get a flat screen I don't care about resolution. I can't afford one right now so oh well I'm good.

  • 480p is best, even if you aint seeing it at a viedo, it is , p stands for prpgressive, and it refreshes the picture at one time, 480i stands for interlaced, which refreshes half of the picture 2 times, thumbs up so people can see this.

  • Can't really tell on a game like this too much but on something like Twilight Princess or Resident Evil 4, the difference is tremendous!

  • 1:17 - 480i yellow, 480p green. LoL :D

  • 480p looks more blurry

  • I'm pretty sure YouTube automatically converts interlaced video to progressive scan. So any "interlaced vs. progressive" videos won't show the large difference in resolution. 480p actually looks a lot better than 480i in real life.

  • Best NSMB Wii player ever

  • This video sucks. You can't tell any difference.

  • This doesn't do any justice to the progressive image ¬¬

  • where i can get component cables ?

  • will texts look clearer with the component cables even on a standard tv? I can hardly read small text on my wii sometimes

  • @tserfass9 Yep!

  • It even makes a difference on Super Nintendo. Get an S-video cable even for Super Nintendo and you'll see Super Mario World in much sharper pictures and notice more details, EASIER ON THE EYES is the KEY with these cables on ALL systems. At first glance it looks the same, obviously it's not going to redesign the game, but text will be clearer and less blurry. You'll find espescially on XBOX 360 that you can't even read some of the text with the regular yellow white and red cables.

  • wait, im confused

what does the wii come with??

what cables should i get to enhance the picture best????

    thanx

  • @squashdudes The Wii come with a Compostive cable (yellow, red and white AV cables), where as the Compontent cable (green, blue and red for picture and white and red for sound) increases the amount of detail the console can display with the extra picture inputs, so Compontent cables are a must for a HDTV if you want the best quality visuals for the Wii, you can get the official component cable for Nintendo or a third party product

  • to really see the difference you need to see this on a big screen, not a tiny youtube viewer.

  • There's a liiiiiitle bit of a difference. Only a little bit because, yeah, the artstyle. But in other games, the difference between 480i and 480p actually makes a difference.

  • you can't really see through a video on YouTube but when u actually have them you definetly can tell a difference. colors are deeper and everything is more defined instead of fuzzy. if u got the extra cash go get component cables.

  • Can't really tell here but 480p is better on my HDTV

  • The problem is that NSMBW does not have any details, any effects and any graphical hilights whatsoever. Its more wise to compare Donkey Kong Country Returns than this shit.

  • @Flash11I19 Good. Now read the description. (How long will it take you to notice that Donkey Kong Country Returns didn't exist in *MARCH*??)

  • 480p looks better, from what i can tell.

  • I've noticed most of these composite and component comparison videos are rendered almost pointless because of the compression inflicted on the video when uploaded to Youtube and that is why most people watching these videos won't notice a difference in these videos. If you actually buy a component cable then the difference is extremely noticeable and it kind of disturbs me that so many people who are obsessed with their games overlook buying one.

  • So the 480p is a slight darker than the 480i thats it ? wouldnt it be the same if you play in the dark ?

  • ....I CAN not tell any differnce.... maybe its just the SAME graphics....

  • maybe if the video quality was better... ya... we could tell the difference

  • So... Which one is supposed to be the better one?

  • the only difference I see is 480p looking darker

  • How can this be a side by side comparison when its only 1 game?

  • @ToastyTarget00 Half the screen is 480i and the other half is 480p

  • @xdlugia1 no I was wondering how he could show both resolutions because I thought it was him playing; but now I know he just recorded the demorun*

  • I personally couldn't even See Resident Evil Darkside Chronacles On Composite Cables Then I changed to component cables and WOW I could see everything, I have a 52 Inch Sanyo HD And It looks Awful With Composite cables The Composite Cables on the other hand Made My WII looks Almost Perfect! I urge anyone with HD tvs to Get Component cables theres no other option or else Everything is Blurry

  • @aarongabbard I tried component cables on my 65" Toshiba 1080p DLP, they made it look like shit. The picture had 10 times more aliasing with component cables. I'll take blur over jaggies any day.

  • @hermitmaster83 you have to go to settings and change it to 480p mode Dar!

  • @lol666 I did dumbass.

  • @aarongabbard That's because you have a huge TV. The bigger the screen, the bigger the need to have better quality. I have these too, hooked up to a 32 inch tv, and the biggest difference I noticed was that there was less lag when playing in 480p. I did see picture improvements too, though.

  • i cant tell any difference what so ever

  • @mariomania Pay close attention to the background especially the hills. The color is slightly more vibrant in 480p but i think this comparison is meaningless because this game doesn't really use hi-tech graphice, it really uses animations to look good. If you compare games like monster hunter tri or The legend of Zelda: Tilight Princess, you will see an obvious difference between the coloring and overall look.

  • @mariomania Neither can I, but it is probably a smaller size TV screen. I bet it is more noticeable on lager sets.

  • @mariomania You can't because 1) Youtube doesn't support interlaced video (60i) and 2) It doesn't support 60p. So both are displayed here equally as 30p.

  • @mariomania maybe because the video is 480p on youtube

  • @manyourisms but the component cable on wii is 480p also lol

  • looks like either the cables suck or the TV has a really bad scaler.
