  • ...one of the most beautiful documentaries I have seen in a long time. Very good!

  • The issue in Israel is that we should treat these people very well and especially the children can contribute if they have been treated well. At the same time, we need to have a visa and we need to regulate the immigration carefully.

  • Too bad they don't provide this documentary for free. How are we supposed to be informed of what is happening if this documentary is limited to those who want to pay for it?

post the whole thing on youtube and I will watch it...

  • First of all, even if Israel does enforce its immigration laws -- which it has a right to do as every other country does -- the vast majority of the children at this school will be allowed to stay in Israel because they are legal under Israeli law. Secondly, Africans and their families were shot dead trying to enter Egypt, but were welcomed into Israel. I don't hear you criticizing Egypt. What Arab country has a school like this? You cannot name one. All you know is attacking Israel.

  • they are to be deported from israel. the interior minister of israel has desided to deported them by the end of this shcool-year. ISRAEL WILL NOT BECOME FRANCE, USA, ENGLAND OR GERMANY!!!

  • @TheLordIdanZiegeL

From the looks of a movie like this, Israel was looking like it had a national spirit of some warmth. Really, Israel's morality is on life-support: it's those protesters in Tel Aviv's main parks standing against deportations, Rabbis for Human Rights and the Israeli Commission Against Housing Demolitions, Peace Now, B'Tselem, Ta'Ayush and other groups standing against occupation, and parties like Meretz and Labor fighting losing battles who still revere its erroding character.

  • @bigollameo sorry but with all due respect israel can't shelter all the poor refugees there are. the erroding character of israel is the undecisiveness about its national jewish character. israel can't house them by the masses. they bring with them diseases and crime. they don't pay taxes but only demands a lot of monitary investments to support them. i really don't think that the citizens of southern tel aviv suddenly protest. they really feel threathen by them and it make a lot of sense.

  • i'm not ashamed to speak like that. they just have to go or they'll someday deterriorate us to a third world country. eli ishay with his kindness decided to let the children finish this shcool year before the deportation, and he really could not. if the country had no problem to deporte jews from its own territory so there shouldn't be any problem deporting them...btw THEY TOOK OUR JOBS! TE TOOK TA JAPSSS!!!

  • @TheLordIdanZiegeL Remember that one day your grandparents were refugees and treated badly by everyone in the world... those children will not take your job , they will create jobs and produce more to pay for your social service

  • @kuttub1 my grandfathers were refugies not because they didn't have a country of their own. the large part of them are not at all refugies but work immigrants. their staying in israel is illegal by law. there are many countries in the world and especially in europe that would love the accepte them. israel is the home for the jewish people and not for these who enforced themself on it. as long as the israelies that live next to them suffer, they can all go to hell.

  • @TheLordIdanZiegeL You are not a Jewish, you are an angry miserable soul, you would fit very well in Egypt, where they would say things similar to you : hate, THEY, We , go to hell . I am sad that people like you exist in Israel, a country fought all its wars to prove that love can defeat hate, and this is why it succeeded, Those refugees have more right in Israel than you because they love it. you cant find a job because you are not that smart.... study a bit maybe then you will find a job

  • @kuttub1 sorry that the true hurts. you can't deal with facts. these illegal immigrants are making a hell for the life of southern tel aviv. many of them infiltrate the country without being checked for criminal or medical record. sorry but, i wish to live in a jewish state and not in a country in a cultural dechendence like france or england. i don't take this "racist" or "hate" shit. no ass hole leftist like you would ever love israel than me and nor these immigrants fucks.

  • sorry that i speak loud my legitimate opinions. i think that 95% of israel population holds that same opinion. you just have to read the talkbacks in Ynet to understand. israel is not a shelter for refugees(which is really a small part of them). people like me with "an angry miserable soul" makes this country sane.

  • Is the short movie available somewhere ?

  • I just came back from Israel. I saw and spoke with African refugees in Tel-Aviv. They feel very good there and I was so happy to see how warmly the Israelis treated them. I saw Africans working in stores and speaking fluent Hebrew, kidding around with their co-workers and being happy.

  • @justbeingman

So nice to see, I agree. Too bad their families are going to be shipped off and their chance at a better life flushed down the toilet because of Israel's traditional committment to racial (racist) ethnocracy. It should be especially nice for those who've come from current or post-conflict regions to go back to the conditions of poverty and violence that convince even young children to take their lives or become human equivalents of dangerous predators.

    How nice, huh?

  • Whar beautiful children!! So many children all over the world dying of starvation, living lives in poverty with no hope for a better future. I hope there will be more countries and individuals willing to do the same. There is so much pain and hate in the world. It's impossible to end it all immediately; even a few at a time is a wonderful thing. There should be no child who isn't loved, no child who hasn't enough to eat; no child who is cold or frightened. What a daunting task.

  • I am so happy to see the students cared for by their teachers in this school. But as somebody who worked with Darfurian refugees in Tel Aviv I can say this is absolutely not representative of Israel's policies towards refugees. Victims of genocide from Darfur face forced unemployment, racism, and impending imprisonment in the Negev detention facility for refugees Israel is building.

Thank you to the people caring for refugees. Israel follow the lead of these people!

  • כל הכבוד!

  • god bless israel that treat africans with respect and help them ,i say to the arab world, come learn from israel how to treat people and be humin beings

GOD BLESS THE STATE OF ISRAEL AND THANK YOU FOR TAKING US REFUGES

  • @nirful

i agree and disagree with u!

i would say god bless those people and that school that treat africans with respect!! and not Israel!

  • @nirful

Checked out your page: easy there, propagandist. You're obviously here simply to endorse anything Israeli and downplay anything Arabic. Your personal page is a complete contradiction to what you say here. Go somewhere else if you want to spread your spin.

I'm not sure if you're ever seen how badly Ethiopeans are treated in Israel, especially by Ashkenazi Jews.

Tell the real story, not the tale you've constructed from a sense of loyalty or duty.

  • @bigollameo

You are an uneducated liar. You say for example: "how badly Ethiopeans [sic] are treated in Israel... by Ashkenazi Jews." It shows that you don't know anything about Israel. Even if you wanted to criticise Israel and claim that we treat Ethiopians badly (which we don't), it's certain that on average the Ashkenazis would be more tolerant and liberal, ceteris paribus, than the Mizrahi (and I say that as Mizrahi).

  • Great project happening in Israel, and great movie about it!

  • Hope I can find the film to watch.

  • This brought tears to my eyes. I would love to see the documentary.

  • This film had one BIG elephant in it's closet.

  • Congratulations!

We're very happy to see that this great tale about the Israeli society and it's educational values has received such a positive recognition of the Academy!

We wish you all the best and thank you for showing this magnificent story!

  • this movie presents a false view of the situation.

most of them came to israel just to work (like the mexicans in the US).

there are some people in israel (small group of anarchists who get financial support from outside the country) which dont want israel to be a jewish state (with jewish laws), and thats why they doing everything in their power to make it happen.

  • i wish we had a school like this in murcia spain to bring together rich poor jew catholic arab

  • Comment removed

  • Actually, yes there are also Palestinian children (from Jaffa) at the Rogozin school

  • i wish i can be just like them when i grow up

  • It's really great, beautiful . . . to be deeply praised and honoured -- but are there any Palestinian kids? The grandchildren or great grandchildren of the very people who lived where the neighbourhood of the school now stands? Just wondering . . . anyone know?

  • @mivasair That area of Tel Aviv was a large pile of sand until a few short decades ago. Aside from Jaffa, there wasn't much more to the area during the time period you are referring to.

  • @mivasair I wonder if in your school there were any native americans who lived there way before you did, or are they only good for nice totem poles decoration in Stanley park?

And as tw24tlv said - Tel Aviv was dry land before jews built it, there also photos and footage so in this case people like you and palestinians can't distort history.

  • Prophet Mohammad said: "One must get education, even if you have to go to China for it." Kudos to this Tel-Aviv school! Education makes us higher than racial and religious differences, it makes us human.

  • @AliyaMussina

the biography of Muhammad based on ahadith

none provide reference to these words alleged uttered by him

  • I wish I could post under it my own documentary of what happens on the other side of the border in the peacful Arab world prison, where my brothers in faith who hate Israel more than anything else, destroyed the human in me with their evil sadism... I know the truth today... I simply support Israel because its a country of humans fighting against a WORLD of mercy-less monsters. I am willing to die for Israel , so that no other child is tortured in the same prison where I sit and I cant help him

  • @kuttub1 Bless you!!!

  • @kuttub1 they didn't destroyed the human in you, otherwise you would not be writing these words today. they tried to blind you, but you were wise and strong enough to raise in amid their darkness. god bless you. :)

  • @kuttub1 fck u all didn't u all see what israel doing to the childeren in Palestine they kill them without Mercy didn't you see when they killed mohamed_ el_ dora so u all Blind so fuk all people who said we support israel u all fukin blind and u all know islam will be in all the world and it's the fastest and we will role the countries in all the world and u all will see and u all know Islam is spreading faster than any other religion evenif u don't want that it's the truth and you know that!!

  • @ahmed6088 Habibi Ahmed,

Why do you think that its ok for me to see Palestinians die... Of course I was sad when Al dura was killed... but do you feel sad when Israeli children get killed? what makes Palestinian children so special and Israeli children not?

  • @kuttub1 The Al-Dura was a fake documentary made by France 2. After investigation, it was prooved that the documentary was fake and France 2 apologized to Israel while firing the documentary maker.

Just type the name Al Dura to see video proof of the investigation.

There is absolutely no need to apologize. Israel does not kill palestinian children on purpouse.

  • @upsilone19 I am not saying that its true or a fake incident, I am just saying that this Arabic logic of they killed one of our children, lets burn their children is evil and wrong... a child is a child , wether a Palestinian or an Israeli... I wish palestinian children can grow under the state of Israel where they will be treated like human beings and respected, rather than becoming citizens of the Palestinian authority which will oppress them
