I thought the beginning part of the video was good, and very informative. I had a harder time with the last part, because people with eating disorders may draw a parallel between anorexia and the less fortunate. The people and animals in the video were abused or victims of famine. People with eating disorders WANT to be able to eat, but the illness makes them scared or unwilling. Some people may see this as pointing a finger saying "see, these people can't help it, and you're being selfish."
I am okay now thankfully, but when I was younger (15, 16?) I was basically starved. My mum was never married and I was her only child. She treated me like a dog, but a dog with no care. I fed myself. I didn't think I was fat but when I ate I cried because of neglection and it made me feel sick. Don't be like this guys, just each the right amount.

This was truly, a very Eye opening video and I applaud you! I'm so very glad there are others willing to send out the message that super thin, truly is NOT beautiful. There is a major difference between being natural Lithe or Slim, compared to what you see in this video. We are ALL different shapes and sizes and I absolutely love that about the world. So much beauty all around us and inside us, and that beauty only shines when we learn to embrace ourselves for who we are.
Having been in treatment for anorexia I can tell you that, photoshopped or not, there are people today bravely battling eating disorders, who don't look so very different from these images.
I don't think we should waste time arguing and calling each other hurtful names. I think the point of this video is well taken and powerful and I, for one, am grateful that someone cared enough to take the time to put it together. We never know who we might touch. Thank you.

However I do not think "bone thin" is attractive... and yet, I do NOT think that neglected animals and people starving (not on purpose) is something to put in these videos. And most people who intentionally starve themselves believe that "bone thin" IS attractive.... so I guess the messages intent was to raise awareness and concern, but I still don't think animals and third world countries should be included. @thesilverangel13 I kind of disagree. I think the point was to try to convince people that starvation ISN'T attractive, wether it's on purpose (those with eating disorders) or not (neglect). They are both neglecting their bodies....maybe if they start seeing starvation as a negative thing (by including animals and third world countries), perhaps it would take away the "attractiveness" of being that skinny.
I think it's wonderful that these girls are able to transform their bodies into the figures they want.

Well done with this video. This shows the growing number of Pro Ana's (or wannarexics, a new term to me, thank you interwebs) that the so called "life style" they have chosen is not as glamorous as the Pro Ana sites and Thin-spiration sites make it out to be. In most cases eating disorders (and binge eating, not just the ones where you lose weight) are voluntary in the beginning like becoming an alcoholic or a drug addict, if you think about what you are doing and why you are doing it, you can stop it from becoming so extreme where it can kill you. I know this because I've had eating disorders, have family with eating disorders, and have friends that have overcome eating disorders. This video wasn't made out of nowhere, its a subject very close to me

yea, that's the scary part, they are real models. The picture where the woman is putting makeup on the model is probably my favorite. She's trying to pretty up a skeleton and you can see what a real person should look like standing next to her. When I was making this video I was shocked to find that they actually would use these people to sell products. It's icky.

I don't know, there are a growing number of pro ana's out there that have none of the symptoms of an anorexic. yea, it was hard not to, I actually started trying to have eating disorders (very stupidly) after making this video cuz I kept seeing all these really thin people, but I'm over it now, sort of.

the point is that people with eating disorders think it looks good to be starved looking, so it's showing that it isn't attractive to be starved, that other people (and animals) are that way not by choice so people who can eat should take advantage of that.

I mean are they in actual fashion photo shoots? Its hard to believe that, for instance the girl at 1.11 would be picked. Who in their right mind would think this looks good?

yea, that's the scary part, they are real models. The picture where the woman is putting makeup on the model is probably my favorite. She's trying to pretty up a skeleton and you can see what a real person should look like standing next to her. When I was making this video I was shocked to find that they actually would use these people to sell products. It's icky.

I beg to differ. Certain pictures in this video have been making their way across the Internet. I have seen the real photos beside the photoshopped ones you have here and it's painfully obvious that nobody as emaciated as that model getting her make-up applied. Please don't spread lies.

okay, fine, but, that's because no one takes pics of the models back stage, they are extremely thin and these pictures were created to show how creepy it is to be so thin. There are people out there that look like this, I know them, so I'm saying that people that look like this do exist, they just aren't spreading pics of themselves everywhere because they are self-hating

and it's not painfully obvious that no one is that emaciated just because that one picture isn't real, I've met people that are that thin. It really does happen and those people will often die because of it. There was a model who died on the runway because she was eating tissue paper to feel full. She died, on the runway! So don't discard this just because of a few pics being fixed to be more in your face. I didn't know when I put them on here, but that's not really the point is it?

some people do choose it, but you would only do so if you have an underlying mental problem. Being so unhappy with yourself that you'll starve or make yourself throw up is a disease. But I've been on a lot of pro ana sites, so there are people out there that need to hear that they are disgusting.

I don't know, there are a growing number of pro ana's out there that have none of the symptoms of an anorexic. They are people who, for some odd reason, have lead themselves to believe that anorexia is a diet or a life style choice. Real anorexics are ill and need help. Pro ana's need to be shown reality and told to stop acting so stupid.
