  • May I ask what brand of cable you are using for the tether, and where you bought it from?

  • @webpro12: Hi. The cable is a standard CAT5 Network Cable. It works fine. And is very cheap. I bought mine form Pollin.de where 100m cost about 30 Euro.

  • @ Messinaroundinytown

hi! Wireless isnt possible. The problem is, that you need a huge bandwith for transmitting the video-stream. As a consequence you need high frequencies --> not possible in water. The ROV will dive 100m --> maximum depth.

  • What did you use for the user interface (ie, how did the pilot turn on/off/reverse motors?

  • Wireless would be possible quite easily. Google Xbee underwater. Get some arduino's for controllers and you're good.

  • still i love the place were you experiment i wish i had one of this tanks

  • try salt water......

  • @12ock: not possible unfortunately... The Materials and the technics like the motors would get demaged very soon. But pictures of colourfull corals would be nice.

  • Looks good!!

  • @NDoorn93 : Thank you very much! I hope it will resist the enormous pressure :)

  • @peachmunich Yup, maybe you can show the controls when you are diving. (or make it wireless)

  • @NDoorn93: Wireless isnt possible, pity! But im lucky to have a cable fixed on it. So i can pull it out in worsed case... ;)

  • What a fantastic soundtrack! 10 points Martin!

  • Well done Daniel!!! Liebe Grüße und ein frohes neues Jahr, Eva

  • @aupair1984 : thx Eva!
