@chescaleigh just a word of advice so that you don't get emotionally drained: don't bother responding to the purposefully hateful or spiteful comments on your videos. Sometimes it feels as though there are people on YouTube just waiting to leave some ignorant, negatively charged message. You'd save a lot of energy if you just ignore them. As a multi-ethnic society, these kinds of conversations are sorely needed. I wish you could do a #$%* people say to Africans, because when I moved here (US), people would ask me questions like: "Did you live on trees?" or "What small plane did you take out of your village?" We need to be more aware of other cultures also in the US.
Fabulous that the two of you were on Anderson Cooper -- I love the man, and I love your humor. In fact, when I first saw the video I predicted Anderson Cooper would invite you. I watched the Anderson Cooper show when Francesca and Megan discussed "The Shit White Girls Say". I think both ladies presented themselves very well. A topic like that could've turned really bad, really fast; however they both made it very clear the video was based on questions asked in the past but overall it was meant to be humorous. People take things too personally now-a-days. Lighten up America!

@thoomolong dude. that's not fair at all. megs is a really great girl that i love very much. while the character's voice in SWGS is based on megan, she's only "guilty" of asking about my hair when i was home for the holidays. you really can't judge her based on a 2 minute video where we're clearly being silly for the sake of being silly.

I compare it to the webisode 'Akward Black Girl'; as it relays the idea that Black women do have a voice. Comedy, as a buffer to social issues (esp. in Black comm.) has been used for yrs. So..I ain't mad at ya. This racial commentary is very much needed, & your show is hilarious. (I mean that as a non-ghetto rapper-still like Nicki Minaj, fake rap singer kind of way)~ JOKE.
This was hilarious and like it or not...SOME white girls do say those things to black girls (and no it's not that exaggerated) but nonetheless, some of the ignorant comments/questions are still hella funny! Absolutely stunning and composed during the show! It is clear to me that so many just don't know how to deal with the envy they might have of your intelligence and elegant beauty. It was cowardly for Cooper and the rest to press you to declare the comments were 'racist'. It took a lot of courage to deal with all those backward audience members who were obviously convicted inside and simply couldn't deal with the burden of having to actually reflect on their own attitudes, comments and motives.
@JAVOE1 thanks so much for this comment. i don't think Anderson was calling my comments racist. he was just using the language that commenters and some of his viewers have used to describe the video. plus, they had to play up the controversy for tv. they took a bunch of audience questions and the response was overwhelmingly positive. but they wanted to make it balanced and show different sides which is fine.

Absolutely stunning and composed during the show! It is clear to me that so many just don't know how to deal with the envy they might have of your intelligence and elegant beauty. It was cowardly for Cooper and the rest to press you to declare the comments were 'racist'. It took a lot of courage to deal with all those backward audience members who were obviously convicted inside and simply couldn't deal with the burden of having to actually reflect on their own attitudes, comments and motives.

@JAVOE1 thanks so much for this comment. i don't think Anderson was calling my comments racist. he was just using the language that commenters and some of his viewers have used to describe the video. plus, they had to play up the controversy for tv. they took a bunch of audience questions and the response was overwhelmingly positive. but they wanted to make it balanced and show different sides which is fine.
