Watching video content on the T-Mobile G1

NOTE: You will not be able to access the sdcard from the g1 until you unplug the USB after you're done.

Once the video is uploaded into the sdcard, rightclick the sdcard drive and select "eject". Now remove the USB cable, Select "Video Player" icon in your apps, if needed select "dcim" folder, and touch the video to play. Similar can be done with music,or pictures just changing the instruction to "My Music" or "My Pictures" on your pc and also opening "Music" or "Pictures" icon on your g1.

Find and select the video(s) on your pc make sure they are mpeg4 file format.

Plugin your g1, and if you have installed the drivers, you need to goto your g1 and hold the USB icon on the top of the screen for a couple seconds. It should expand downwards, then pull it down. open the USB connected by toucing it. Touch the "Mount" button on the screen. A dialog box should open, select "open folder to view files". open "dcim" folder. Paste the video in that folder.

Hello this is a great video, if possible to post a tutioral on how you actually placed the video on the G1 I am still not able to when I use the usb it asks me to mount or don't mount, I choose mount after copying mu video(mp4 format) it doesn't show up anywhere thanks

Quick question.

By rotating it, it shows it to the landscape mode? Or did you slide the screen up? Sorry, couldn't tell with it being dark and all lol

If it helps you, i use something thats called "anyvideoconverter" works very well. if you need help understanding how to use it just look it up on youtube.

yes. It would be a good idea to buy a memory card with lots of room if you're going to do that though.

G1 because you can either choose at anytime a virtual kb or the real kb..with the behold you can only choose the virtual kb..

G1. The Behold is just another Samsung phone that will go no where. G1 has amazing opportunities.

That's all you will see. I simply created a new folder called Movies and then dragged and dropped some that I had converted on my PC. The Video Player application is available again on the Android Market so you should be all set.

The Video Player just popped back up on the Android Market. Google reset the Market and now most all the apps that were there before are back with more added too.

Having an H.264 capable video player is awesome, h.264 video codec has the best compression ratio keeping a good image quality, but in small devices it needs a dedicated hardware or a powerful CPU.

Is this player using dedicated hardware for video codecs inside G1?

Can the G1 play a 30FPS video at it's native screen resolution?

How about battery drain playing a h.264 video?

Is it possible to watch a real time TV channel using the youtube app?

app developers please build a player that supports avi - divx formats. converting videos aren't difficult but doing it for each device I own makes no sense. It'd be nice to drag a movie off my external device straight onto the G1 and have it play. VLC player FTW?

they only appear when you touch the screen and then the video goes to full screen with only video playing
