Of course the Pipa pre-dates the modern Western guitar by about 1200 years, but I'm impressed by how similar the technique and tremolo sound is to the Flamenco guitar.

@radovest I'm actually studing it and it's not easy cake! a prove of patience and time devotion (takes sooo much training to get used to tonal languages), and of course keep in mind you can spend several months improving it until a chinese person recognizes what you're trying to say (quite frustrating)! But keep it up, if you're really interested on Chinese stuff.

I'm learning it faster and easier than most people, and it's still taking me twice as long as French. Seems like it may be the most difficult language in the world.

Anyways, learning Mandarin IS quite difficult, especially coming from an all English-speaking background. I believe it is the 4th or 5th most-popular foreign language studied today.
