This has got to be one of the best songs I have ever heard. His screams are perfect. So, those who say his screaming is awful just because you are the lead singer/screamer in your band think again, because this band is the one that is signed and leaving positive influences on others. This song is about love and death. The two things that make humans, humans. Loss, is something they write well. Emery is amazing, and that my friends, is the understatement of the year.

This band is a Christian band...just listen to Fix Me off their new album. However, I agree that they don't always sing about Christianity which I think it's just awesome because it grabs a wider range of people to listen to them. I don't believe this song was really meant to be a religious view of Christ dying on the cross...their simply isn't enough lyrical evidence or substance in the song to make me believe it.

Emery, though Christian, and influenced by their belief in Him, are not a Christian Band as most people see them today. Or label them rather. As with most artists in today's music industry, they write their songs in such a way that the interpretation of the song is different depending on the listener. I have an AMAZING relationship with Christ, but I think of the loss of a friend

Most popular Christian bands don't label themselves as openly Christian. But there are a few such as As I Lay Dying, UnderOath, and Emery just to name a few from the same relative genre.

It's a very serious professional move to label your band Christian, because it seriously limits your fanbase simply because of the small-mindedness of many people.
