  • lol imagine when you are using it! you have to stand , bend , move forward backward. for that thing i will better go for cordless mouse and keyboard lol!!!!. No use on desktop segment.

  • fail 1:07

  • "a lot much different" - the English Lange fails you.

  • OK

  • is it multi touch????

  • "a lot much different" ? 02:21

  • GIANT & EPIK TOUCH SCREEN :D I'm getting one soon, I hope it's epic!

  • Anyone else think he looks like a mix of Cary Elwes and the guy from Psych? I'm thinking yeah...

  • This guy sounds like he could easily sell fake jewels on the home shopping network......lol

  • Does it work on XP?

  • @zoeyandleo159 i just got this monitor and sucessfully running under XP. You need an app called "Dmouse" to allow right clicking and use the built in "On Screen Keyboard" built into XP (via start->all programs-->accessories-->accessibility

  • Will it work for mac?

  • did you say it was resistive touch screen? cause i've heard that theyre not very good, and the capacitive touch screens are much better...

  • @AlBirch101 capacitive touch screens are much better...but more expensive.

  • Get"~'Your,.~IPOD,'~Here~"~

    Copy'"~And"~'Paste~~.

  • Could I plug my VGA cord from my laptop to this monitor? And have 2 monitors running? My laptop is not a touch btw

  • You can use wacom products with this monitor? I don't have any wacom items but really wan't to get one. You have to have a touch screen to allow it to work with wacom?

  • This guy says "very" a lot!

By the way, it's not resistive, it's optical touch (the two top corners have infrared transmitters). This means you can use your fingers or any other object to touch. This also means the touch is activated even if you hover, at a distance of about 1mm.

  • i have one too. :) it is very nice and very sturdy, it is heavy and the box is HUGE~~!

  • touch screen technology is overrated. what's so bad about having a mouse & keyboard??

  • @rerunepisode well, i for instance have RSI, all due to the wonders of mouse clicking. hurtss.

  • i have :)

  • I'd love one of these. I always have food, drinks, paper and other crap on my table and my hand hurts from using my mouse all day.

  • ofcourse it doesn't work in MACINTOSH cause its Microsoft !!!

  • @searchforarthur What are you talking about? It's Acer and OSX has touch capabilities built in otherwise you wouldn't be able to use a Cintiq or Wacom products with it.

Anyway, would love to get one as I do run a Mac.

  • can you draw on this and make some really good drawings?

  • Brill, and only £159.00 from argos :D...

    savings of £110.00

  • Best place to buy in the UK?

  • I bought this monitor today and I love it ! It was the best £160 i spent i got a real bargain on it ! it was £270 and I got it for £160 :D

  • im getting one but it gateway and it kinda of a gaming computer AND its rly fast! its also at bestbuy and it 800 or 750 bucks

  • one bad thing.. RESISTIVE touchpanel...

  • @Luigijacks wrong, its an optical, camera based touch technology

  • @BCfreakshow say what optical? i`ve never heard of a optical touch how does that work, dont you mean capasitive

  • @logitechmartin it works differently, the Touch functionality is based on two cameras in two corners of the screen, these cameras are used to locate the fingers on the Screen. thats why the monitor sometimes works without touching the screen already when the finger gets closer to the screen. Exakt definition can be found on wikipedia, the difference to capacititve is also explained

  • does it work for mac

  • @MrDonovanestep it doesn't

  • @MrDonovanestep yes. if you buy touch base driver.

  • oh my god... im the 56,666 viewer...

  • finger print all over :O

    I am using one

    CSI me Baby :P

  • trickly to use i think, perhaps 1 or 2 weeks ll change your mind about how ez to use it is.

  • Just Read The text!

  • I want one. Maybe eventually.

  • I WANT ONE

  • i was going to buy this then got the gameing one instead it was abit pricy!

  • well it looks kinda chill but i think u will get cramp after 10 mins or so :3

I reather use keyboard and mouse

  • I would rather just lay my arm done on my computerchair armrest and move the mouse around....FAIL!!

  • @jwsman15 lol the little poorfag is jealous he can't afford one! hahaha

  • @BoxxyFan they're only 350 bucks CDN. not that expensive.

  • @crazymanpictures13 If you think that get me... 2! hehe

  • @madurankuliya

It has a 3 year guarantee, so I don't see why Acer should cause all these problems.

I had NEC come pick up a faulty monitor and send us a new one twice, we didn't even need to move from out office.

  • 2:20 no internet :D

  • @Mascaredoboy that cause he just showing it not really going show the computer not the internet X3 cause they are going take it down to show other computers X3

  • "A lot much different!" What a retard...

  • i want this for virtual dj

  • Don't rate the product, rate the video...be nice to this guy he works hard

  • i got this computer it is cool

  • multi touch?

  • Yes, cause everyone wants finger prints all over there screen. WOW so it wants you to hold your arms out.. & type rather than just put the keyboard in my lap its a work out. How long can you hold your arms out... I would be SOOO lazy & stop typing lmao. WOOOT FINGER PRINTS.

  • Doesn't it have a pen used with?

  • Ew, it's a RESISTIVE touchscreen :/

  • this is awesome and it will play games like rtc3 good but its gonna be hard to play online shooters with chat or just any acton game, i think. Guess that this screen is not made for gaming ^^

  • @hoiheyyodude I love RCT3 :D

  • lol hes getting all pumped up to have one at home to play minesweeper rofl

  • So the touch only works with Win7 ?

  • @sgreen4 no it could also work with windows xp or vista but you will have to download all the drivers and software to use it. windows 7 just has all that stuff built in so that it saves you all that time. if you need help downloading the drivers and software just let me know.

  • How to play games on this miracle???

  • useless

  • @zilkomaa agreed

  • Yeah this monitor costs 2.5X what a regular one of 1" larger costs where i live, I've been using mouse and a keyboard for a long time I'm a gamer i don't see me playing World Of Warcraft or any other game (especially an FPS game) with a touch screen i think it would be kinda hard to actually beat anyone so you'd probably ditch the touch screen part of the screen pretty quickly and since you already got your hands on the armrest using the mouse and keyboard, you might aswell continue doing so

  • if i got offered this for £100 i sure would take it if i had £100 spare. But if i paid the full £300 for this, i would be disappointed. I would get bored after a couple hours then start using the mouse.

  • Bought one because of availability and low price. Won't make that mistake again. Acer customer support sucks.

  • @987654321act so douse asus costumer support. they say they will call you and they never do. they suck balls. i should T-Bag them with my ball sack see if they start taking care of there customers more better.

  • Uh, The dude in this video is a muppet. Must be on Acer's payroll. This monitor is plagued with problems. Any reviewer that has actually used this piece of junk gives it a mediocre rating at best. I bought one when they first came out and now regret it as Acer support sucks.

By the way Mr. Muppet, I quote you: "...a lot much better..."

Folks, don't waste your time with this monitor, and ignore any videos or reviews by this idiot. You'll be glad you did!

  • @987654321act why the hell did you buy a acer product.they are cheap as fuck,in the quality department i mean.

  • My dad gave me one of these, need to get Windows 7 to use the touch now!

  • "a lot much different"

  • " i'm going to rock mine sweeper... on a touch screen " lol hahaha

  • how responsive is it? it seemed like it was lagging a bit when you were resizing the onscreen keyboard...

  • is this monitor good for Game Designing? to use it?

  • whats the model just like that but its not touch?

  • Play osu! on it!

  • Hey guyz is it any good for gaming ? please respond.

  • im getting two of these so i could run dual multitouch monitors alongside each other. nice vid lol at it having a Gateway wallpaper and it being an Acer monitor. smh.

  • @dmakagamble He said it was a resistive touch screen doesn't that mean its just single touch?

  • at 2:51 of the video

  • did people see that the monitor tilt sideways ?

is that part of the features or not sturdy enough?

  • It looks cool at first, but it would be unergonomic to use. You can see how much the guy had to reach to use the touch feature. I don't expect this to sell very well. Instead they should make a wireless pad-type monitor that can go on your lap, OR fit on a stand. THAT would be a seller.

  • @middeljohn i know what you mean, when i get some cash im making a stand that goes from standing normal like that to stech across to you and lay on a diagnal making it easier touch

  • LoL "Rock Mine Sweeper" good one.

  • I like the monitor, What type of Touch Screen is it? is it like the iPhone and have a Capacitive screen or does it have a Resistive like most other devices?

  • Acer T230H XP Drivers can be found on HP's site. Here's how:

With usb view utility I checked the VID=0x0408 and PID=0x3000. Looking up these ID's tells me it's a TACTION Touch screen by Quanta Computer. It appears the HP L2105tm monitor has the same touchscreen and HP does provide support for this model for Win XP and even for Win 2k. Go to HP and get the drivers for the L2105tm monitor. Those work for the Acer as well.

  • In the coming future? Nice sales pitch; but it is multitouch?

  • give me a 50inch of that and ill buy it

  • this was idiotic

arms are not ment to be held at that angle for that long

no body is going to type iwth that

all in all with all of the feature s its not worth its price : about 400 dollors

  • will this work on XP with options like a graphic tablet.

  • will this work on xp with options like a graphix tablet.

  • 2 questions

isnt it uncomfterble having it in this angle?

can you pinch zoom like the iphone?

  • lol, minesweeper XD

  • I've got one. Works great. Worth getting it.

  • @plarkmoby looks expensive , but i'll get one

  • @plarkmoby Can you still use your mouse with this monitor?

  • @ChiToNYc Yes.

  • @plarkmoby do you get alot of reflection of the glossy screen??

  • @MartinGuitarLover1 Not really, nothing that hasn't been detrimental to my viewing pleasure. It's graphics screen setting is quite bright, which I normally use and I've never had any complaints.

  • @plarkmoby Ok thanks for the reply, i want one of these for flight simulator X, just ordered from amazon

    Take care John

  • dogpound I could make up facts like you did or you do a little reading first.

Now who has no clue DUH!!!!!!!!, I;ll wait for your answer as soon as WINDOZE fixes all it's bugs.

In 1974, the first true touch screen incorporating a transparent surface came on the scene developed by Sam Hurst and Elographics. In 1977, Elographics developed and patented five-wire resistive technology, the most popular touch screen technology in use today.

  • @CBSNEWS69 um? huh?

  • what about finger prints? does it leave loads of marks after a while. Don't know if I can be bothered to constantly clean it.

  • yes i am so getting one this summer oh yesss

  • Can I use the touch application with windows xp??

  • hi guys... i just saw this amazing screen in the show room and i was abut to get ... i only have 1 question though.... i use mac OSX snow leopard... is the touch functionality compatible with it?

  • WOW really WIN - DOZE finally had touch screen? 20 years after MAC.

How about WIN-DOZE work on their operating system and forget the bells and whistles.

  • @CBSNEWS69 IBM made the first touch screens in the 60s. Look up multitouch history on wikipedia. Before OSX, Apples only touch screen was on the Newton.

  • @CBSNEWS69 you have no clue.

  • Also another note, this does NOT replace a tablet (especially Wacom one), its good but not that good. At best you can fingerpaint in mspaint with it :P

  • wish i had one.

it would be kick ass to play 3D SexVilla 2 with that :D

  • another advertisement. not one bad thing, so it's perfect eh?

  • Duh. forgot to mention - touch screen is awesome, I'm using Windows 7 and not many apps make use of it properly yet. I can use a Wacom pen on screen too (since anything works). Yes the monitor has 3.5mm jack for audio, or if using HDMI, audio through that.

  • Does the montor replace the graphics tablet or does it have the annoying delay?

  • I just got one of these monitors, and I am impressed. Picture quality is better than my HP2309m. Got for half price during a sale - impulse buy, was definitely worth it!

  • is no audio in (3:18), that thing do not have speakers

    is audio out

    from HDMI

  • @silvermarv audio input yes, stereo

  • I wonder how fps games will be played by touching :D :D :D

  • how fucking awesome is that DO WANT

  • Yes, its cooler playing Team Fortress 2...

  • Aren't you complimenting it a little bit much more. it is not great, be honest please.

  • for those asking if this works with Mac......GOOGLE IT.

  • @xXJaEXx lol

  • A question for the cognoscenti: which one wins: an all-in one with multi touch or a good computer coupled with this multi-touch monitor? I guess you would have to run this with Windows 7 to get the full effect of the multi-touch feeature.

  • The all-in-ones have worse hardware, and you can't play any firstperson shooters or other games that require keyboard and mouse at the same time.

It's always way better to have a full PC with this monitor than something else.

  • Thanks: that's the kind of answer I was looking for.

  • will it work for an imac?

  • if u install windows on it :P

  • No, as the OS does NOT have the touch screen capabilities yet. Only W7 folks

  • how do you find the image quality compare to a Samsung T240 or T220 ??

  • i so going to buy 3 of this for gaming this year

  • But would it work when hooked up to the Matrox TripleHead2Go? If so, I'd get three of 'em!

  • really to rock mind sweeper that is why you would buy one of these.

  • is that a fucking sell tv???? poor information!!! germans computer tv has much more information!!! i can just hear coool ....very very coool......bull shit!!!

  • Can anyone help? If I decided to buy one of these monitors and linked it up to a mac, would i still be able to use its touch screen ability? Any help appreciated!

  • yea, first you have to throw your mac out the 17th floor of a hotel, then go down, get it, stomp it out.. then it should work, if it doesnt ... tell me ill help you

  • @fatalitypaintball22 lol good shit

  • @fatalitypaintball22 don't forget to re-format the hard drive with a chain saw, & always make sure you burn at least $500 before buying another mac product, Cause seriously, who wants to actually pay for something worth what it costs, that would just be silly.

  • Pretty cool but i dont see any real advantage for paying an extra $200 for touchscreen technology. Maybe if they came out with some cool APPS but for right now this is not very useful.

  • windows 7 is all u need

  • price?

  • I saw on google product search 350$

  • resistive no multitouch to bad:(

  • will it still work without out the usb as a regular monitor

  • This is Idiotic why they make a touchscreen monitor when i can put my 22 inch on the wall and play from my bed with my wireless mouse and keyboard no need to touch the monitor u are gonna bust your eyes ...

  • And your so dumb! this is not for consumer masses this monitor is well suited for graphics artist and designer that uses software to create visual presentation and stuffs alike.

  • Well said

  • nice

  • theres one really big key thing bauer forgot to mention it that the screen can be set vertically aka turn the screen 90 degrees

  • so i have a $1000 budget.. i need to buy a computer, a good sound system for the kitchen, and a decent security system for my house. i want to be able to monitor my security cameras from the monitor connected to the computer. wat do u think i shud get? thnx =]]

  • SWEET!! Is it a multitouch?

  • I think I'm in love

  • I'm hooking this puppy up to Ubuntu!

  • Comment removed

  • I think this is probably one of the first reviews I was able to watch all the way through from this guy...Nifty looking product.

  • these new touchscreen lcds are going to be covered in fingerprints all the time

  • no because these touchscreens have a special layer that minimises finger prints.

  • I belive Acer uses Samsung screens in their monitors.

  • I agree with azndarknexx, but until Samsung makes a monitor like this with the price of a Acer :) i Wold Really love to try this one even for a while cose i'm bored of my T240 with no wall mounting :) !

  • i wonder if you can use that for gaming in some way. haha tab where you will shoot

  • acer monitor on gateway wallpaper ?!?

  • @lchunshin probably the machine that from gateway.

  • the best monitors are from Samsung

  • acer sucks and the only good monitor i have had from them is the "acer H213h"

  • it will be so funny if we play FPS games on the monitor!!!!... ... ...

    hahahahahahah

    lol!!!

  • I prefer 16:10 for computer use |:

  • WOW

    LAME!!!

  • i remember bauer hating touch screen back in tech update, but now he's promoting it?

  • it is his job lol
