  • @nutnfancy I was watching this video while at work and couldn't have the sound up all the so if you said this and I missed it I apologize but how does this holster run with compact size as opposed to full size gun like a Glock19? I looked on the blackhawk website and it says fits most large frames but doesn't give you a size option like the serpa holsters any input would be much appreciated.

  • Would this holster be a good fit for a Walther PPQ 9mm.

    Great review as always.

  • sweet!

  • Have you tried a raven concealment or a bravo concealment holster? That would be awesome if you did a review on one.

  • -?? Why are you run around with pistols and riffles?? Military training for yourself?? for fun (for yourself?) I am a Vietnamese and I am very curious about your "techniques" of self defense, but however, that are "rich American" games!!

    - The reasons I said that because in real life of fight, included Vietnam old days, the Vietnamese is a poor country. American train us to fight with RICH AMERICAN WAYS, then when lack of support then we are in troubles!! Big lessons to learn from the past!

  • I'm going to be purchasing my first handgun soon: the H&K P30 v3. I intend to make the chest rig my home defense/bug out option with pistol mounts on front and back (for quick reversal). I'm trying to get all the parts for the quick attach system including (1) a "BlackHawk! Serpa S.T.R.I.K.E. CQC Platform (Ambidextrous)" to (2) a "BlackHawk! Serpa CQC Bl PDL HK P30 RH Blk BH410017BK-R". I think I'm missing a round piece that attaches this gear together. Please advise and thanks for the help.

  • What camouflage does Nutn have at 10:51?

  • Just bought the olive drab one from optics planet. My first holster & I wanted something that could be all purpose...not just some quick draw holster. This thing is very well made and quite configurable with the rest of your system. Thanks for the recommendation nutnfancy...you're the man

  • i was wondering if this holster will fit the S&W Sigma 9ve? If so,I will for surely order one. just to have at the range, cause gust of dirt tend to get in my serpa holster and it is annoying. but this holster has a flap cover which is intendent to keep particales out of the holster. so this holster is updated right, even the black one cause I also didn't that metal snap that was sticking out?

  • These are impossible to find now, I can't find a Black one for the right hand to save my life. The only one I can find in stock anywhere for the right hand is the Olive Drab one. If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Keep up the excellent work Nutnfancy, thanks for all you do!!

  • @Gotskilla agreed I can't find a black right hander to save my life

  • Good job on the video. Good views of the holster.

  • I wish Blackhawk made a light-bearing special operations holster.

  • Sorry (SERPA)

  • Which make is this vest that the SERPS is on?

  • @bassfisher0703 its the condor MOPC, nutn has a review.

  • is it weird on my lbe i like wearing my pistol weak side shoulder holster style on my side plate carrier?

  • Nutn, did blackhawk discontinued their Serpa holster for the Glock 17 in Tan and OD? Every shop on the web has only the black one and I am in a desperate need of one in Tan or OD :) I would appreciate a little help from the Maestro himself :D

    Cheers from germany

    Dan

  • @dakinegk remember WWND what would nutn do... DURACOAT! >.> or krylon got a nice rattle can style i forget what the name is though....

  • What belt has that Velcro on it to keep things secure?

    Thanks

  • Nutn, do you think that extra mag pouch would fix a Fenix TA21? it's a larger light of course

  • Dang Nutn! You got me when you pulled out that p226 with the light.... I have a Sig p220 with a surefire x300 that I am trying to find a holster for that won't scratch the finish.

  • 11.00 what type of jacket is he running I've Sean it in other bids but don't know really like

  • helpful as always. thanks nutn

  • I was wondering if this holster would work for a Taurus 1911 with the rail? Any help would be appreciated.

  • @GrimStudiosHD I've never owned a Taurus 1911 but I have one of these holsters and it fits my full sized glock 20 (10mm) easily. Not sure if that helps you out much.

  • I was wondering if this holster would fit a Taurus 1911 with the rail? Any help would be appreciated

  • Chest mounted--best for motor vehicles. I saw a soldier on TV with a hip-mounted holster and an empty holster on his chest. He moves the pistol to his chest in a ground vehicle.

  • He made videos making fun of Springfield XD pistol fans. He picked on it because of the grip safety and it is physically larger and heavier than the Glock that it competes with. It's dimensions are much bigger for the same caliber gun. I'm not hating on Nutnfancy, I'm just wondering what happened to make him change his opinion. He once said he would never carry a Springfield XD. He was in love with his Glock 17. I bought a Glock 22 for my service pistol because of his reviews.

  • @keithwhisman He says in practically every video "Subject to change" meaning, somthing may change that will make him like somthing that he formerly didnt, or dislike something he formerly did.

  • Booby mounted xD

  • Nutnfancy, I thought you hated everything about the Springfield XD line of handguns. So why do you have one prominently displayed on your vest next to your name tag? I've ignored the XD line entirely because of your reviews and arguments against the XD Pistols. The only thing I can think of is money is the reason why you now have one. Please tell me I'm wrong, tell me changed your mind and realized it was the best thing since water.

  • @keithwhisman He was never against The Springfield XDs, check out the LETC videos and his review of the XDm

  • @keithwhisman Tell yourself that only your opinion matters. Tell yourself to check into different sources before your biased ass gets a gun. Then tell yourself to get the fuck off the internet.

  • would this be a pretty good option for the Ruger 22/45?

  • nutn this intro mixed with that music is awesome

  • What's nice about those chest holsters is that the pistol is easily accessible while seated in a vehicle.

  • is that YOUR xdm nutnfancy!?! :)

  • stupid question but would this holster work with a glock 29 or glock 30?

  • i love how RWJ came up in the suggestions

  • A lot of the times the camera operator is standing right in front of the muzzle of your pistol when it's holstered. Just an observation :-)

  • hey just looking at the blackhawk special ops.would this be considered a open carry holster,as it seems pretty concealing?

  • can you get to the pant pocket with it on?

  • Nutn... took a coarse a couple of months ago, and they thru a fit about Serpa holsters... Something about ND's because of finger placement on holster. Total BS in my opinion, but they didn't allow the Serpa. So I went back to my Spec Ops Holster that I had bought as brand new pvt 8 yrs ago. Still trucking.. noticed a lack of muscle memory, but like riding a bike. Thanks for the vid's.

  • wtf dude MUZZLE control!!!! i love your vids tho bro sorry i know you are a shooter!!

  • hey nutnfancy what do you recommend for a second gun right now i have a 22 i am 12 should i get 243 20 gauge or a 9mm i hunt fish shoot all the time please make a video response i watch you vids like ones a week if you look at my vids youll see my gun

  • wow i like and only 50 buck do you know it it could fit a revolver like a super red hawk 7in barrel or is the bottom closed up.

  • How do you finance all those products, I know your in the air force, but to my knowledge, you dont make a million in the us air force :)

  • Hey nutnfancy, I was wondering if you have tried this holster out with compact pistols such as a Glock 19/23 or Sig P229? Is this holster too large?

  • Looks like they didn't listen. I just went to their website and they don't have it listed in the holsters section.

  • @ScotsSens Go to blackhawk(dot)com, go to holsters, go to nylon, second page, center column, bottom row.

  • This holster seems to be very versatile for different pistols. I am glad you show the XDM in this holster because I have been looking for one my XDM. I will have check further into this Black Hawk Spec Ops holster. Great review and I enjoyed the teaser about the light mounted pistols, that was good.

  • thanks nutn for this amazing videos im an airsofter but in one year i would like to join the german army and some of your videos help me to get basic and tactical skills thanks!

  • roll over prone is aka urban prone, from magpul just to widen your vocab hope it helped nice vid man

  • You might be able to pop that firearm shaped stitching with a good bit of knife work. Then a little extra sewing to reinforce the border stitch seal to finish it out. Not hard to make that light-bearing compatible at all.

Took a Blackhawk AR vest that I was never gonna use cause I run .308, and turned it into a really useful hunting vest by ripping off all the pockets and putting it on a Realtree AP jacket from Wal-Mart. Makes a great outdoor / hunting jacket with plenty of sturdy pockets. +)

  • *knuckle bump*

  • that sounded funny "no way i'm takin a full service pistol with those extra ounces on a hike" i thought with the gear in the picture you was infantry ,guess not .try a 25 pound m-60 day in day out for "humpin it" how many ounces is that!!!

  • I'm with Nutn here when he says if you're laying on your side, thigh holsters do into the dirt, and it's really no different with this here - and honestly perhaps worse? Since it sits higher on your thigh, there's really no way for you to adjust to the size there, unlike if it was lower and closer to you knee. A good option for hiking, as he says, but if you need to do into the dirt, a chest-mounted option is superior, and he shows it well enough. Great video! Thumbs up.

  • glad i found this video as it seems its exactly what im looking for in a holster for hiking/backpacking.

anyone know a place online that has the NEWER versions(without the mag pouches on top) for a decent price in coyote tan? i cant seem to find a place that FOR SURE has the newer versions of these.

  • @billhasher - I believe the magazine pouches are removeable.

  • I really think you need to try a Raven Concealment Phantom holster. It is by far the best holster out there. Yes the wait time is 16 weeks but the product is the best in the business. Please give it a try!

  • where can i get one of these... ive called 5 places and they are out of stock and can no longer get more because its is a discontinued item???

  • LOVING your vids that much more in HD on my 52"

    FINALLY!!!

  • Another great vid Nutn!! Look's like another winner from Blackhawk!!

  • Being retired Air Force, Special Ops, I was drawn to this, and because of your credibility....and being Air Force. When I see a weapon or tactical device I go to see if you've reviewed it. I just got the Cold Steel 4" Ti-Lite, own 3 Glocks, and now I have to go buy this holster, it rocks and is exactly what I'm looking for. Your review saved me a lot of time and money, and I got a few minutes of quality entertainment out of the deal. You were instrumental in getting my wife into guns to!

  • What are our options for pistols with lights?

  • Why doesn't anyone hire you to help design their gear?

  • Why doesn't anyone hire you to design gear?

  • One of my vids hasa mysterious Greber knife that I don't know the name of so help me find it out

  • Alright nice vid Nutnfancy and everyone plz check out my page for my vids I want some feedback from all you TNPers and from Nutnfancy himself thanks ^_^

  • Nutn said that XDM has been running 100% in the TNP tests. I like your videos, but I have to disagree. Check out the XDM vs Glock Shootout video you did last February. The XDM jammed up, possibly due to being a little under oiled. Do I get extra credit for not only watching TNP videos, but also remembering them?

  • @ryangi5 that wasn't his.. it was a rental or something..

  • what are you using to mount it to your jest..i couldnt understand

  • @noticalmeff a Blackhawk SERPA

  • Ive been rocking a serp CQCII for my xd in 45 and I love it... I agrere 10 out of 10.

  • One gun that I'd like to see you review in the future is the Beretta Model 21 Bobcat. I don't know a whole lot about guns, but I think it would make a decent concealed carry pistol as an ultra-lightweight, and I'd like the opinion of someone I consider to be an expert.

Keep up the good work, and thank you for serving our country.

  • Great gear review, I'm thinking about getting one. Thanks Nutnfancy

    ;-) to Veri

  • whats the term for the cloth he uses on the table top? i've been tryin to find one.

  • @smokinondro247 shemagh

  • I've run.

  • To everyone who wants to buy this pistol............ The spec ops holster was sadly discontinued :( I just received an email from the site where I bough it and that is what they told me

  • lol ''booby-mounted pistol''

  • Nutn have you ever tried fastpacking. And what is your opinion. Is the weight saving worth it.

  • Great vid again as usual, thanks nutn and all other cooperates involved. I learn a lot from you guys! I very apreciate the effort and dedication u put into these vids to work for us viewers to learn from. Realy wished I just could come over one day to work with you guys to practice what you do. But for now it seems olmost impossible. But hey maby one day who knows, let u know we commin over eh :-)

  • Does Nutn come down to breakfast in the morning and say, "Yeah, I'll have some toast and coffee, but first, a little philosophy..."

  • @deceptivepanther The answer is yes, yes he does. His PoU for oatmeal over toast is that it's cheaper and it'll stick with him longer, dudes. :D

  • Hey Nutn and Veri. I just got my confirmation email for my nametapes! heck yeah. Can't wait. I love TNP and everybody that makes it great. Keep up the good work guys and gals. Outstanding! God Bless.

  • Hey Nutn, just curious what you think of the old school Bianchi UM-84 holster. I dont have one myself, but I've handled them before, and was just curious if it is something you have dealt with, would recommend, or if you would be interested in testing it. It seems almost "perfect" to me, but as I said, I have not run it. just curious.

  • hey nutn. nice review as always but whats up with the porn music at the intro?

  • what happened to your safety checks?

  • I LOVE TNP!!!

  • great review, i bet i can integrate this as a drop down off of the kidney belt on my lowe alpine internal frame ruck...then strap it to my leg. have you tried medium frame revolvers with this rig at all? im betting my SW model 19 would fit with the proper adjustments.

  • awesome music - once again

  • Not sure why people on Youtube have a problem with you? Your a cool reviewer, and get the job done. Keep doing your thing, forget the haters, because there are people who like your vids like This Jersey Boy!

  • Anyone know what holster OJ is using for his 1911?

  • I like the option the holster provides to protect the gun. I like the drop down setup too for a backpack. That way the hip belt of the backpack does not interfere with the gun. I've ran my system that way while backpacking/dayhiking and it can be a pain.

  • if you went prone wouldnt it get dirty?

  • Thank you!! I've been trying to nail down a decent drop-leg holster for my system for a while now. Now I've finally got a rec from a good, reliable source on one. You're the man, Nutn.

  • @TheSOGDog Let's get the secretary from silencerco to model this option

  • I've had a rig setup for a "grab and go" for more than 20 yrs and have used it. It does becomes a part of you when you put it and go to work. The later spec ops holsters they made have a bungy secure cord.

  • I've had a rig setup for a "grab and go" for more than 20 yrs and have used it. It does becomes a part of you when you put it and go to work.

  • Great video on this drop down holster...problem is it is a little too late. Blackhawk has discontinue it, and absolutely can not find one anywhere that are either black, coyote tan and/or ACU for right handed folks after asking a dozen online stores. :(

Anyone have any luck out there?

  • You read my mind brother, I'm in the market for some new holster options. Thanks for getting this one out!

  • Good job nutn, watched alot of your vids, just subscribed today.

  • Seriously Nutn most people will be wearing a suit when the terrorists come you should consider that suit idea! Please!

  • Seriously Nutn most people will be wearing a suit when the terrorists come you should consider that suit idea! Please!

  • USP .45 Fit?

  • Fit a USP .45?

  • will a usp.45 fit ?

  • Hey nutn! could you please upload a video of the equipment, (weapons, load vest,boots,ect..) that you would use if you had to go to war tomorrow??

  • Comment removed

  • Hey nutn, just a quick bit of feedback. I know the philosophy is important, but if you introduce the item on screen, every just briefly, near the start of the video, I find it makes the video more interesting and flows better.

Otherwise, great video, thanks for the review!

  • great vid nutn, but i do prefer the fembot boob pistol to the chest mounted technique.

  • Thumbs up for HD!!!

  • Thumbs up for HD

  • it's amazing how fast i got an answer for my provocating comment. i've had some serious questions about some guns or so, but i never got an answer that fast. to be accurate, i never got an answer. thanks veri. but good work though, nutnfancy

  • @dieHoelzer That's the whole point of a provocative statement....to get noticed. A simple case of "look at me!". -- Veri

  • this was immensely interesting. dropdown holsters are my preference.

  • I totally agree with Nutn on running the holster higher on your hip. I did a run and gun with the Blackhawk universal holster and it was way too low. I now run a Specter Gear universal holster that rides more on the hip than the thigh. The Spec Ops holster in this video looks awesome too, but it doesn't fit the TLR-3 that I have on my P226. :(

  • I'm still starie-eyed over the esee junglas review from yesterday...lol j/k... No really! =D

Great review... thanks for all your hard work. =D

  • im gonna shoot my first gun later today!!! im so pumped!

  • @cococolakid shoot safely my friend.

  • What type of electronic ear muff protection do you use?

  • Good review, I think this is going to by my next purchase. I currently have a chest-mounted serpa, and I'm sure it works for some people but I just don't like it. I found that, for me, a chest mounted pistol gets hung up with my AR-15 when doing run&guns, and also my bumps my scope when my gun is slung up and I'm not holding it, as well as interfering with drawing my pistol. This holster looks G2G, thanks for the review

  • Get with the program if you want to run a drop leg, run it because your wearing PPE and that a drop leg makes sense. Not to make you look like some idiot FBI agent in the movies. Safariland is hands down the way to go for drop legs. Do the single strap mod so the pistol rides higher.

  • I have also used this holster extensively for my SIG P2340.... love it.

  • wish they made one for pistol w/ light

  • I think the reason that this holster doesn't move is that it doesn't have just one strap that it hangs from. I had a drop leg by UTG that when I would run it would move in front. That got really annoying. I gave it to my friend. Lol! Thanks Nutnfancy, I've been waiting for this one for a while.

  • i just barely signed up a youtube account and nutn was the first person i subscibed to. cool vids

  • Are U going to shot 2011?

  • been looking at it but decided to wait for this vid and it finally here yay.

  • isnt your name "nutnfancy"? looks to me like you have lots of "fancy"

  • Great review. Thanks!

  • What is the revolver in the competition holster?

  • hey Veri, is Nutn going to SHOT this year? Loved his coverage of last years SHOT.

  • @p8ntballer8491 He is going. =)

  • Awsome holster for hiking! Thankyou for the review and opening my eyes to another great piece of gear.

  • I wish I would've gotten that Olive XDM....Still love my XDM and my Serpa---Great review---Good points----But---Hipside just feels more natural to me....God Bless the TNP

  • hey nutnfancy...looks like you shoot right handed but left-eyed. Is that just my misconception or am I right? Thanks for the great videos.

  • Thanks Nutn, you have really helped on a lot of stuff, got pretty much the same pet peeves as you so it works out.

  • You have no idea how high you got my hopes up when you acted like the P226 w/ the TLR3 light on it would fit!! SO HIGH! ...and then they you made them come crashing down.. errrr nutnfancy

  • I think if you're wrestling with a guy and he's able to get it out of that holster, you'd probably be screwed regardless of holster.

  • @nutnfancy Secret Squirrel Likes haha. How does this compare to the condor tornado drop leg? Minus the drop length which I already know is longer. I'm torn on this and the Tornado....only because I can get multicam config in the tornado.

  • Good vid. I'm a fan of the Blackhawk stuff as well. I use my serpa holster for my Glock 26 and 27. Had it for years and it works great.

  • will this holster handle a standard P08 Luger?

  • nutnfancy going 720???

  • I'm so glad I waited, this is exactly what I was looking for. Can be used almost with any pistol. Thanks brotha!

  • nutn or anyone else looking for a sling/slash molle type contraption. something to put a gun few mags that i can just throw over my shoulder like a sash/ sling. anyone know where i can get something like that

  • the teet guns

  • When you muzzled the camera in the beginning with that chest mounted rig it made me cringe just as a reaction. I can totally understand how the guys in your unit might be uncomfortable purely from the point of view that we never want a gun pointed at us.

  • Is it just me or doesn't a chest mounted pistol end up "muzzling" anyone you stand next to? I mean, the gun is pointed sideways, and it goes off wouldn't it take out your buddy? I must be missing something...

  • Man, I saw the headline of the video and nearly freaked. I've been waiting on your review of the Blackhawk Tatang for so long now! Is that still on your list of things to do?

  • Can this rig be worn in a cross draw? I run cross draw because my only "combat" scenarios involve camp chairs and cats. Access to a strong side carry is terrible when you are sitting or kneeling, and X-draw can be accessed with either hand. It also tends to stay out of the way of backpack straps.

If this can be worn OK x-draw, then I may just have to snag one.

  • lololololol fembots!!!

  • I just recently bought a black hawk cqc holster and love it. After this review I'm going to go order this holster. Looks very high end for a cheater price.

  • Nutn, you should try a war belt. That's what I do, I can fit 2 rifle mags 3 pistol mags, med kit, flashlight, BM Nimravus, and a Safariland holster. It rocks! High value.

  • LOl I just got mine earlier today lol! funny

  • This may be one of the top 3 tabletops I've seen you do, nutn. Right down the list, factual, experiential information, no punches pulled. You brought up all the right options, and made your opinions known as such. You've made up my mind for me! Great way to start the new year, nutn. If this is a sign of things to come, then I'm in for a good viewing year here. God bless, crew.

  • yes thats what i was talking about

  • hell yea xdm!!!!! i own that same pistol!

  • Nutn, I'm glad you seem to have more time to make more videos now, really keeps me entertained

  • When you said "Guess what?!" about the P226 with the light, I got really excited. :,(

  • what is the name of that serpa mount? i cant find it on their website

  • @bigg746 are you talking about the serpa quick disconnect? just google that or ebay it just like that, that is the name (if your talking about what i think you are) "serpa quick disconnect"

  • @usmcboyer yea i was thanks

  • Does anyone have knowledge of USPALM products, stuff looks good, but I wonder about some reviews.

  • I really like my Blackhawk serpa concealment holster for my Glock 26. It was an excellent and simple choice for concealed carry. I hope to see future reviews on more conceal carry holster options.

  • One issue with running a chest holster is in CQB the potential for hand-to-hand is pretty high. You would not want your pistol riding on your chest because of how accessible it would be to your enemy.

With some MACP (post, frame, hook) training you would want to run a side holster and train to favor that side. That way you avoid giving your enemy the opportunity to take your weapon away. Or, since your mag release is exposed, cause a malfunction.
