I saw this drummer with Gonzalo a bad ass! mieleke and Olugs the sax player is not lost and is a great player. There is no where for him to play with so much busy ness going on. And no dynamics. where do you go?

Realmente espectacular este baterista, y como decian por ahi no es muy conocido, pero si esta en la lista de los mas grandes, la gente con la que ha tocado este musico es increible. Ademas la familia Barreto siempre ha dado muy buenos bateristas y percusionistas en Cuba desde hace varias generaciones. P'alante Julio

Don't get on that line of thinking with Julio- Yeah, he's a motherf*cker, agreed. But if you've ever heard his albums (most relevant to this recording would be IYABO) you'd see his playing is waaaaay stylized and he is not the bottomless pit of ideas that Vinnie is. Granted 2 different styles, but also listen to Julio's time.

He's just beating everyone over the head with it. When you listen to his recordings, its all the same
