  • it is on the abulm one cold night all acoustic covers and yes this is a cover of pearl jam

  • Great fucking guitar

  • Where is this song from? It's not from any of the official albums, is it? I have them all and I swear I never heard it before!

  • @cotitabene It's off of their live acoustic album, I'm pretty sure it's an official album. I got it at walmart a long time ago. The album is called "One Cold Night"

  • @cotitabene its a cover of pearl jam song immortality;)

  • @cotitabene It's a cover. Original by pearl jam

  • the pearl jam version is better

  • @smullendoremusic desy this is a cover, u've got to admit it's a good one, yeeeaaaahhhh jajaja!!

  • @mist2701 no yeeah its good but pearl jams is still better

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh. Pearl Jam and Seether <3

  • I feel like slapping all these people on here asking who this band is ! WOW ! I've been listening to Seether for over 8 years now ! They are amazing.

  • @KevMait76 Lmao it's pretty sad if they can't figure it out, I have the band name in the title XD Unless they're wondering who did the original O.o

  • well,i feel like i heard this guy before, did he sing in another band or something?

  • @levilisko there is a song named "broken" seether, feat amy lee from evanescence maybe you heard that..

  • fantastic cover...

  • tocan chido pero hay algo familiar con el grupo nirvana en ellos y es un poco la vos pero suena chido

  • I have to give credit to PJ for writing this song,I have been a fan of them for a very long time but I honestly have to say that this is one of those songs in my opinon where I like the Cover better than the Original. Both PJ and Seether have amazing songs and both are written and performed with amazing Emotion.

  • I bet this is how Pearl Jam would sound if Eddie Vedder had done enough heroin to make him completely numb.

  • @kashiark you think the lead singer does heroin?

  • The original just sounds sloppy and emotionless compared to this cover, imao.

  • ...Am I the only one who loves Seether but hates Nirvana? :(

  • @TakinYoCup u cant hate nirvana, honestly im not the greatest fan of nirvana but nirvana "Helped" the post gruge alternative era in music. Seether posibly could have never formed without nirvana. Shaun Morgan even said that nirvana was an influence in his music, which is y he also did covers of "Heart Shaped Box" and "Something in the Way" that are by nirvana. You can dislike there music but u cant hate them. Just ask yourself whats better, Nirvana or Justin Beiber

  • @TakinYoCup Nope.

  • RIP KURT COBAIN...

    Holier than thou, how?

    Surrendered...executed anyhow

Scrawl dissolved, cigar box on the floor...

  • jesus fucking christ YES Pearl Jam wrote this amazing song and perform it beautifly but just beacuse another band originally wrote it,sang it etc EVERYBODY MUST prefer it? well i am sorry i love PJ but Seether is an amazing band and shaun is unbelievably talented,an amazing song writter and i adore this version

  • awesome music! i love it. :D

  • seether is that one band the comes along and makes me remember how great 90s music was.they would of fit in so well during the grunge scene

  • a rare case where the cover is better than the original.....give pj credit for writting it give seether credit for making it sound a hell of alot better

  • @aidan669 no.

  • you people think you know seether so well, your all bullshit why do you think bands play eachothers songs its the respect so stop disrespect bands that have more talent then you could ever dream of having so stop the fuckin bitching and let seether do what they do best

  • for some reason this song reminds me of the song running blind from godsmack...... but this is way better

  • seether did pearl jam justice with this song.....this sounds amazing and ur a liar or need a better taste in music if u say otherwise.

  • I KNEW I RECOGNIZED THAT SONG'S SOUND :D

-Realized after i finished the video that this was that song by Pearl Jam-

-Just read the comments.- >>' so i wasnt the only one who noticed, huh?

  • ... is it so wrong for a band to do a cover, and not have evey comment be about the original vs. cover?

I like this song, and i love with with seether playing it. I was never a fan of P.J. simply cuz i'm never in the mood for their brand of music. Seether is a bit more my speed thats all o.o

  • bla bla bla

  • can't anyone accept a good song for a good song? who cares who wrote it as long as someone does it justice and doesn't destroy it.

  • @screaminhappyness How can that be? If the people who wrote didn't then anyone else do it justice? I'd say those wrote it matter very much so as to warrant a care.

  • wait i'm confused on why people are fighting over this song, bands do covers all the time..?

  • @hehJess well, that's because some people are elitist assholes, and fancy themselves experts. I would ignore them. They're not worth the time.

  • 16? ha..hasn't even begun to live yet...cut though...

  • both versions are equal. Arguing about which is better is just fuckin stupid, they are not performed in the same way. PJ's original is magical, but Seether put much passion in the cover. And PJ's fans always will say PJ's version is better, the same way as Seether fans will say about the cover.

Writing "Seether raped this song" is just fuckin' lame. It's just a bit different version, and that's all.

  • Sorry, kid. Pearl Jam. Seether raped this song.

  • loveeeee

  • the begining is b.a

  • well i find that very untrue im only 16 and i knew who seether was when i was 14 and i knew who pearl jam was when i was like 12 or 13 i cant really remember but it is very true pearl jam does deserve the credit but seether is not mainstream... i feel mainstream is more of a way of saying the band is out to earn money and nothing els but seether does play there songs with heart he writes all of them and the ones they cover normally mean some thing to them so it sounds great to.

  • @x13xteenagersx19 *Thumbs Up* haha

  • @x13xteenagersx19 What you said seems to be an unfair generalization.

Pearl Jam is as antagonistic of a mainstream band as you will find.

They were one of the biggest bands of the nineties and are still very popular.

There is speculation that this song was intended as a tribute to the late Kurt Cobain, though Eddie Vedder never confirmed it.

Kurt and Eddie both were huge influences on Seether and Shaun Morgan in particular.

He performed a great cover of the song and it was well received.

  • @x13xteenagersx19

    very adult response for 16.

  • best cover song ever love seether version better

  • Once a Seether fan always a Seether fan!! :) great job on this cover!! (:

  • i was born in 1993 and still, the first version i heard was pj's.just now i learned that this cover existed and checked it out immediately.pj made the song immortal for me, it inspires me to my every cell when i hear it.seether did an effin good job too though.i luv them both <33333333

  • Im a 14 year old teenager and is just so damn disapointig 4 me to see girls and boys at my age listening at singers that have no future at the history of music and many times some these stupid singers may cover a song like limp bizkit covered behind blue eyes from the who and they should be killed 4 that and wheni tell them hey that song is from another band or singer they say that the cover is better that the orignal wthout even heaing it...Dear god dont make me grow with people with no ambitio

  • A pretty decent cover by seether but pearl jam the original is always the best..

  • From a huge Pear Jam fan, Seether have done this song justice. It will never be as good as the original IMO but if it brings Pearl Jam to the attention of "the kids of today" then that is only a good thing. Kudos Guys.

  • Pearl Jam!!

  • Good, but not Pearl Jam good. Eddy Vedder just has something nobody can touch.

  • nice!!! but i prefer Eddie Vedder.... ;))

  • Seether's cover is way better!

  • hey people shaun morgan is a very great singer no doubt about that but we need to give credit where credit is due. first of all pj wrote this freakin song and if they didnt write it then seether would have never done a cover. also that seether is a lot newer than pj so tons of kids these days dont remember who that is. its like ask them if they have heard of pj they will be like who is that ask a kid who seether oh yeah its that band that plays fine again or remedy or rise above this.

  • Seems like alot of people only like music because it's popular or mainstream. which kinda makes me think about the songs that you selected to pick out. but you are right. credit does need go to pearl jam. most people nowadays only listen to what's played on the radio, not what they like.

  • i'm agree with you

  • @GirFreak113 radio plays mainstream bullshit all day randomly are there any good bands on

  • @motomania1985 pearl jam didnt actually write this song. they covered it from someone else. i cant think of who though. but that is true, i love seether and pearl jam. two of the best man

  • @hawnat56 Wrong.

  • @hawnat56 go buy the vitalogy album by pearl jam all lyrics wrriten by pearl jam, its not a cover get you facts right.

  • @motomania1985 whos pj?

  • @theunthinkable1 pearl jam

  • @motomania1985 well i find that very untrue im only 16 and i knew who seether was when i was 14 and i knew who pearl jam was when i was like 12 or 13 i cant really remember but it is very true pearl jam does deserve the credit but seether is not mainstream... i feel mainstream is more of a way of saying the band is out to earn money and nothing els but seether does play there songs with heart he writes all of them and the ones they cover normally mean some thing to them so it sounds great to.

  • @motomania1985 when you say seether i think of tongue, tied my hands, mostly the acoustic stuff. and i love pearl jam, people's main reason for doing covers are they are trying to say something with there music, but there is a song already out there that perfectly describes how they are feeling. i dont think you should try and to demeaner a band for cdoverin another song....js

  • @motomania1985 What do you mean, give credit where it is due?

No one claims that Seether wrote this song. It is credited as a Pearl Jam cover. As for kids not knowing who Pearl Jam is, you must be hanging around some retarted ass kids... There is no doubt, Pearl Jam is MUCH MUCH bigger and popular than Seether.

  • Funny, how mad people getting, when you say you like Seethers version more.

I think the original is great but I like Shauns voice more.

  • Eddies voice matches better to that song i think

  • look i have nothing aganst pj i like some of their music but i like seether version better from the voice to the emothing everything just my openion

  • lol at people saying this band did a better job at this song than pearl jam when its their song. immorality is a sacred song which is why pj doesnt play it live by them all that often. most likely its a song eddie wrote dedicated to kurt cobain even though its never been confirmed. but to say seether showed more emotion or the instruments are better means that you have no idea about p.j. and youre basing your opinion just because you heard this first. still a decent cover but not close to the pj

  • @blueshirts41 see, now, you're the kinda person that i like on youtube. you actually take into consideration the fact that people are either huge fans of this band (like me), they are huge fans of Pearl Jam, or they are arrogant fucking fruit loops. I do like this version better, because i like Shaun's Voice, but i am in no way saying it is better, because of the obvious reason, that Pearl Jam wrote the song.

  • @GirFreak113 stfu xD

  • @blueshirts41 good cover, at first I thought it was arron lewis the singer who covered pearl jams other song black.. when eddie vedder sings this song its more haunting, his voice is no comparison to other singers..

  • i understand that pj pioneered this song and i respect that but honestly i think seether made it better. seethers version has more sadness in it and shauns voice is better suited for this type of song. his voice makes the song soothing and gives a gentler touch, especially when he says immortality. i admit that im probably closer to seethers version because i listened to theirs first but i still think they improved upon the original in many ways.

  • @blueshirts41 You can't really say that they don't play it that much live. According to the PJ website, they played it 126 times live. I agree with everything else, but they played the hell out of that song 1996-2003 & have only played a few times each year since.

  • Pearl Jam is better

  • @cougcheetah Well they DID make the song.

  • @cougcheetah i like it better from seether :)

  • @buddymac123 its great mate

  • go home.

    shut up.

    grow up.

    simple

  • Listen Open up your mind into the realm of seether embrace the notes that are played this guy is beyond unbelieveable i can't seem to get anyother band to like besides this one

  • seether is defently the best i liked the name sarin gas better its stuped how they had to restrict there name when they came to america good song good band

  • if you don't like it, don't watch it. simple as that. everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but i don't need any stupid ass comments like that. k thnx bai

  • damn dude. Instead of talking shit about an incredible band, you should prolly go to the fuckin gym and work out, Have u seen your belly dude?? It's reallll hard to miss

  • you've deff. got some issues of yours to work out boy. haha Im sure that "fuck up" don't mean anything lol

  • i do listen to underground shithead. this is the first band i ever herad that i actually liked. don't really like underground though.

  • I don't like Pearl Jam...however Seether is my favorite band.

  • Pearl Jam is good too? Are you kidding? They not only wrote the song, but perform it so much better. Anyway, to each his own. Great song

  • yea pearl jam is good too....

  • omg then i see the point too lol

  • Good song, Pearl jams is alot better

  • guys why are we arguing about shaun v kurt when they both where equal? they are inspirations, so why argue, when they are both unbelievably great!?

  • thank you for seeing my point ^ ^

  • Shaun Morgan and Kurt Cobain are my idols as well and both inspired me to play and write as well

  • love this song!

  • I do enjoy eddie vedder singing but I just like Seethers version better and I like playing it on guitar because the guitar really sets the sumber attitude of the song

  • i know he is a legend but i really prefer shaun:)

  • shaun is better than kobain. in my opinion

  • hey, none of that in here lol both Shaun Morgan and Kurt Cobain are my idols cuz they both have inspired me to start playing guitar and singing and writing music but you ARE titled to your own opinion. thank you for the comment ^^

  • oops...i mean cobain not kobain:D

  • lol woot!

  • iunno man thats a tought one :P i agree everyone has there opinion.. kobain is a legend though

  • cover?

  • I like at how the end you clearly hear the audience say "good choice" and "good shit." :D

  • i don't like the PearlJam version, but this is great.

and real rare can't get a good version from limewire.

  • if you have msn i'll add you and send it to you lol

  • Even though morgan has a very simmilar vocal style to kobain doesn't mean he can't go right ahead and give it hell. Kobain f...ed-out and it's his fault. I like that vocal style and at least it's darker than chaddy boy.

  • Only seether pull off covering a pearl jam song.

  • this song makes me cry

  • I dont think its really necessary unless you really want to, cause others have it on, it would just be a waste of your time and computer usage I guess. But its totally your call, I love Seether so im good either way :P

  • lol sweet

  • I honestly like this more, just preference still love the PJ version. Just like the new tone of it:P

  • same here dude. i was thinking about recording this whole dvd and putting it up bit idk if i should. what do u think?

  • Definately mate. I would like that.. or if you torrented it.. Been looking for a good copy for ages. I would buy it, but I can't get it where I live.. even Fopp don't sell it.....

  • seether underated , one of the best

  • seether did this song so much better than pearl jam this is one of my favorite seether songs

  • Pearl Jam's is far superior! but definitely a great version

  • I enjoy this version much better

  • nice song I don,t think they released this song in audio did they?

  • this is just a cover of a pearl jam song. it's one of my favorite of their covers.
