  • Some did not have a choice to adopt the country they love beacuse they were born.

I did have the choice to adopt the country I love!-A naturalized U.S. Citizen.

  • RIP Waylon Jennings! and Billy too

  • Tenneseean saluting Texas!! LONG LIVE ALL OF DIXIE!!

  • The picture of Waylon after the cotton fields is not Waylon it is a impersonator from Vegas

  • Texas born n raised right here! Proud to be a Texan! best state in the USA

  • Pure Gold ***********************************

  • LETS GO COWBOYS!

  • ty waymore for another great video ....

  • Brilliant stuff! Billy Joe is wonderful!!

  • flag of texas looks like the flag of chile, ...south is south....

  • I love this song thank you for posting it. I miss Texas so much.

  • This is such a fantastic song

  • Thank God for Texas!!

  • Awesome!!! 2 of the greats. Billy Jo is one of my favorites. May his wife and son rest in peace.

  • Love this recording - still with Billy Joe & Waylon singing a BIlly Joe song about Texas it should be great - nice choice of pictures too Waymoreblues.

  • Like many of my countrymen the Lone Star Flag means at least as much to me as the American flag and I will NEVER apologize for feeling that way. GOD BLESS TEXAS.

  • country music at its best by two of the best ever.

  • just the name waymoresblues,, sez it all

  • Thank you. They are both awesome.

  • ROLL TIDE!

    .

  • you texas folks are like us bluegrass boys dam proud of where your from we all miss waylon and love us some billy joe

  • Can't we just listen to Billy Joe and Waylon and not argue about Hank III? It's hard enough to follow a father who is a legend, let alone a grandfather too. The young man will do just fine.

  • As far as Ah'm concerned, The Great State of Texas does hereby adopt Hank Williams III as a native son....

Waylon will never be forgotten and BJS is and will be cherished...

    God and Texas....Remember the Alamo

  • @lionstanding God bless Texas

  • check out billy joe "If you don't love jesus, go to hell" on my channel.

  • billy joe rocks , country music died in the 70 's

  • @stuwad1 No country is very much alive. George Jones, Kris Kristofferson, Billy Joe, Bobby Bare, Mel Tellis, Willie Nelson, Glen Campbell etc. but all modern country music is just terrible.

  • Jamey Johnson hes still holding on to the real country. And you got some new singers Dale Watson, Wayne Hancock, Hank III. Theyre playing "real" country

  • I disagree. I really dislike Hank iii

  • Well everyone has their own opinions you know. Its all in preference.

  • @highwayman012

    I totally agree with you!

  • @sgrocker99

    Hank III is shit.

  • @Sturla123 Yes he sucks. Can't stand him.

  • @highwayman012 You dont shit about what is good music he is a living legend one of the greatest song writers anywhere.

  • @walker424423 I know my stuff. I love BJS. So be careful and think before you speak dumbass.

  • @Sturla123

You must love your radio!Hank does his own shit and pays respect throughout.Stick with your slick CMT,over produced factory country and leave the real cats alone.

I do respectfully retract this statement if you are an old school,Outlaw country loving kinda girl.

  • I'm probably what you call old school,Outlaw country loving kinda girl. Just change girl with boy and you got me.

  • Waylon and the boys are the real deal.

  • @Sturla123 Billy Joe sure as hell is

  • Maybe. But either way, that's what the recordings are for.

  • This boy has great music & history from the Country Music Outlaw erra. I had the pleaseure of meeting him last summer in Austin. Where he not only gave us all a copy of his book he signed it. Then sat an chatted with us.

  • That would rock!

  • Great song, great video, great state!

  • great video hoss

  • Thanks!! I may put some more up soon. Just been busy as heck!!! Check back soon!!

  • I miss TEXAS!

  • kick ass

  • Waymore, what should I do???

  • I love this song, I play it to remind me of the time I lived in Texas. I miss my cats

once again, I am freezing in Illinois. God bless Billy Joe Shaver and Waylon. Excellent songwriters. I need to make up my mind where I want to live.

  • Hey sumlvf- I'm a native NY'er, living in SoCal, currently fighting in Iraq, and my hearts' all country- but even with my identity crisis LOL, I can tell you that's an easy choice- TEXAS!!!!

  • Thank you for your service and sacrifice for this country. As a soldier, I'm sure you would enjoy BJS's Freedom's Child, watch?v=UBnyGnCfolw

  • 2 great singers!

  • texas looks and sounds great

    5*

  • You Texans are musically blessed! Your Country Music is very very special. I'm not a wannabe Texan or a Texan, I'm an admirer of the Texas Country Sound that you give to the world. Please don't let this music die.

And these two artists, Waylon Jennings and Billy Joe Shaver are one of the greatest!

Thanks waymoreblues for sharing this video!

    Ronald

  • You're quite welcome Ronald!!

  • I have to agree, Waylon, Buddy Holly and Stevie Ray Vaughan all made a huge impact in the music world, among others.

  • lol...the Bushes are no more Texans than you are, clearly. they are East coast blue bloods...please check your facts before you start tarnishing our great State with the likes of the Bushes. :|

  • the best!

  • I miss Texas so much... Moved to florida...but will always be a Texas girl @ heart..... Thanks for the vid... Love Waylon too...

  • Now I am right back where the best is, smack dab in the heart of Texas.

  • I miss Texas, love the music, weather and my cats.!!!

I miss my brother to!! Now I am in the midwest freezing my butt off.

  • God Bless Texas. Born and Raised in this great state of ours and anyone who is should feel extremely privelaged to live in the lone star state!! Theres Texans And then the ones who wish they could be texans. The ones who hate are just upset cause they could never be as great

  • Californians ruin everywhere they go.

  • Im a Tahltan Indian from B.C. and this is our anthem. We call this Tahltan country....kinda rocky but mostly country.

  • this song is great .. im a texan and i feel the song in my heart

  • Billy Joe Shaver is one of the best songwriters of all time. Waylon is my favorite all time singer. May he rest in peace. Thanks for the great post.

  • @40324 Couldn't have put it better

  • Two kinds of people in this world, Texans and wanna be Texans. We should have stayed our own nation.

  • kick the California sons of bitches out of Austin.

  • NICE

  • NICE HELL HOW ABOUT "AWESOME."

  • Much love to the great Eddy Shaver on guitar. Gone but not forgotten. Probably the best song on a great album: it's well worth tracking down.

  • I'm not a Texan, not a huge country fan, but this is one of my all time favorite albums-- check my i-POD...

  • I'm not a Texan either and I've never really been a fan of Texans in general, but so, so many great musicians and songwriters seem to come from there. You're right that you don't have to be a huge country fan to appreciate this album: I think it's very appealing to rock and singer-songwriter fans as well.

  • Greatest state in the greatest nation in the world so go to hell and i"ll stay in Texas

  • what a great song!!love it

  • Thanks - hadn't heard of this one.. Know when it was done? "Cause I sorta think the drums were Rich Albright from the 70s-80's Waylers...

  • It's the first track on the album, "Tramp on Your Street" by Shaver, which I think was released around 1993.
