  • If someone were to pull this off in real life it would be murder.

  • don't tell me she moves in his veronic orbit?! ronnie corbett, who's ronnie corbett..?

  • The last one using corbett was pure genius

  • Tamara night and Amelia cook but the best is Shirley knot lol.

  • I now want to see who Boris Rigid was

  • Brilliant comedy!! Absolutely brilliant!

  • This sketch is a very British sense of humour. The two ronnies go to the very heart of sense of humour thats very British.

  • Fuck that's good.

  • classic british comedy,no one else has ever had the likes..

  • how old are all these sketches? they're several decades back right?

  • @jhibbitt1 It was on for most of the 70s and 80s.

  • The Two Ronnies did really clever sketches, that would take anyone else months to think up yet Ronnie Barker had such an ingenious mind it seemed to flow with such fluidity. Now the best we get are catchphrases in Little Britain or random last minute quips from Mighty Boosh. Whatever happened to British Comedy?

  • @goth1agw1omw To be fair on The Mighty Boosh and Little Britain, Two Ronnies don't write their own material.

  • @TweekDash Really? I always thought they did.

  • @TweekDash err...i think you'll find Ronnie Barker wrote most of their stuff under one of his many pseudonyms. He would send his material in to the BBC,and the BBC would accept the brilliant sketches not knowing that Ronnie was really the writer, more often than not. A true comedy great, and modest as well.

  • This sketch was remade on The One Ronnie at Christmas with Richard Wilson in Ronnie Barker's place, Richard Wilson's good but the sketch was nowhere near as good without Barker. Also on The One Ronnie they done one of the sketches where Ronnie Corbett gets his sentences finished for him with Catherine Tate in place of Ronnie Barker and she was nothing compared to him!

  • I love the Two Ronnies! They have such fun jokes. Gerald Wiley's sketches are the best.

  • @smileclarenet Gerald Wiley was really Ronnie Barker

  • @Bazanadu I know.

  • Lois Turner!

  • Ronnie Barker was just a superb comedy writer.

  • Gideon Shandy!

  • Audrey Moffat?

  • THIS IS VERY CLEVER.. GENIUS

  • this is such clever writing!

  • The best comedy duo of all time imo along with Stan and Ollie!

  • the best

  • This is real comedy. And what do we have now? James fucking Corden flopping his gut out and shrieking like a howler monkey.

  • @dabrixtonbomba - Hahaha! Mate that comment made me laugh so much because it's true! How can we have those two pricks pretending to be funny when you remember the geniuses like the Two Ronnies, Paul Whitehouse, etc....

  • continued, funny it is not quite as funny as the sketches i mentioned below, i did also find funny Deaf in the Trenches sketch as mentioned by Thebray1000. i wish they still showed the Two Ronnies on British TV.

  • comment to Stglhor1zon, actually this is not the best Two Ronnies sketch hands down, for me some of the best Two Ronnies sketches are as follows: Fork Handles /Four Candles, Swear Box, The Phantom Raspberry Blower of Old London Town (rumour has it that it was David Jason who played the part of The Phantom Raspberry Blower, this was a rumour i heard many years ago, i wonder if it is true.), Hieroglyphics & last but not least as they say Ice Cream. although the Name Droppers Sketch was quite

  • @BigSteve02 The Phantom rasberry blower of old Lodon Town! Now that brings back memories!

  • @swollower The Worm That Turned!

  • @TeflonTron Good God! I`d forgotten about that one.

  • how can anyone dislike this?

  • the best sketch is deaf in the trenches

  • "Is there nothing I say that doesn't remind you of someone you know?"

It's a pity they didn't make anything out of that!

  • absolute geniuses

  • Best sketch handsdown

  • "Ronnie Corbett? Who's Ronnie Corbett?"

  • Comedy genius. These two were head and shoulders above the rest. Today's rubbish is nowhere as cleverly written as this stuff!

  • what about al queada and ann thrax those two wanted terrorists

  • why is the audio sounding very mono here compaired 2 other sketches that have stereo

  • very well observed ive notice that as well

  • LOL Gideon Shandy.

  • Ronnie Barker looks abit like Patrick Moore in this sketch

  • Comment removed

  • @ProcolHarum1967 One time he did a sketch where he was pretending to be Patrick Moore's brother

  • Sorry, sorry, sorry. Feel like Corbett meself, now.

  • 3:20 '.. Don't tell me she's in HIS moronic orbit...' 'Ronnie Corbett? Who's Ronnie Corbett?' LOL

  • @BuckshotLaFunke that 1 the best outa thm all

  • the ronnie corbett 1 meronic orbit- ronnie corbett truely legend

  • welchi, someone asked himself how long it took them to find that extraordinary name.

Wasn't there a similar game on BBC radio long ago, called 'Knock, knock - Who's there'? You know, like 'Mr and Mrs Druff and their son Dan'. I am Dutch, so I don't remember.

  • This must've taken smegging ages to write.

  • "I'm the type that get's giddy on shandy... Gideon Shandy?"

    "She's the red-light-distric's lowest earner.

Rather unfair on Lois Turner... I always think her hair is nattily done.

Well that's because Natalie Dunne is a very good hairdresser."

Ronnie Barker was the king of wordplay :)

  • Think this was the first one of theirs I loved, around 97/98 when the BBC did a 'Best Of' series.

  • Amazing-and to think the clip of 2 cats going meow for 2 minutes has 33,000,000 views whereas this has 86,000. Theres no accounting for taste.

  • @johnsongbird well that pretty much sums up the intelligent level of people on youtube

  • @dinushawiki I agree with you, however I do feel that it is not always the case as I find intelligent humour such as this hilarious and also find something such as sneezing panda funny aswell but for completely different reasons. For that you shouldn't make the assumption that youtube viewers are generally idiots (the majority aren't even from the UK and so wouldn't understand this level of comedy).

  • they've got some of the best word play sketches ever written.

  • like a fine wine

    gets better with age

  • "Horace Cope?? That Twit? Don't tell me she moves in HIS moronic orbit?"

    "Ronnie Corbitt, who's Ronnie Corbitt??"

    Simply legendary! :-)

  • Humor took it on the chin the day these guys left tv.

  • What makes this great comedy is that it gets funnier the more you watch it!

  • I never get bored of watching this. They are the best double act of all time (along with Laurel and Hardy) imo.

  • had to watch this 3 times just to comprehend the awesomeness.

  • True comic genius, these two were absolutely brilliant. How I wish we had someone like these two today!

  • Genius.

  • Gene Yuss? I went to school with him!

  • Simply brilliant

  • 70s best ever decade for women.

    When women were real.

  • "Horace Cope?! Horace Cope, that twit? Don't tell me she moves in his moronic orbit?"

    "Ronnie Corbett? Who's Ronnie Corbett?"

    ROFL!!

  • The "Ronnie Corbett? Who's Ronnie Corbett?" line is definitely my favourite in this sketch!

  • One just can't help cracking up at that gag! XD

  • @Wheeler2450

Have you seen the One Ronnie? A christmas special where Ronnie barker isn't quite replaced by the very, very best in British Comedy but they give it a damn good try. Search for it on youtube if you've not, it's genius and they recycle this sketch and it's pretty funny seeing the guy from one foot in the grave in the sketch (love the guy but I forget the name) ... it's not the same but it's still good.

  • @Bushflare

I did see it, yes. My family are avid viewers of BBC 1 on Christmas Day and the thought of seeing Ronnie Corbett on TV on Christmas Day really appealed to us. You're quite right, they weren't as good as the originals (no remake could EVER match those), but they were good. I could imagine Mr. Barker looking down on them, and quietly chuckling to himself. A true comedic legend!!

  • @Wheeler2450

My god man you just winded me with that...

I figured I was the only one on youtube with half a brain-cell... I'll admit my having half a braincell's not much to boast about but still... I am proud... whatever that means...

  • whats the sketch where they sing we heard what she said but we knew what she ment

  • ...brilliant comedy writing!!

  • Outstanding! Brilliant!

  • Lol. The Two Ronnies are hilarious.

  • The blonde is Debbi Blythe.

  • the blonde is hot

  • Easily my favourite Two Ronnies Sketch lol

  • lol Lindsey Doyle, Camilla Highwater, Myra Marks, Annie Moore, Gideon Shandy, Seymour Cumming, Barbara Seville, Phyllis Tyne, Des Irving, Audrey Moffitt, Albert Ross, Noah Vale, Tamara Knight, Amelia Cook, Shirley Knott, Eustace Potter, Lois Turner, Natalie Dunn, Horace Cope, Ronnie Corbett, Boris Richard, Guy Standing...!!

  • The way you've typed it reminds me of the Norwegian football commentator who went beserk after they beat England!

"Lord Nelson! Lord Beaverbrook! Sir Winston Churchill! Sir Anthony Eden! Clement Atlee! Henry Cooper! Lady Diana! We have beaten them all! We have beaten them all! Maggie Thatcher, can you hear me? Your boys took one Hell of a beating! Your boys took one Hell of a beating!"

  • "His moronic orbit."

"Ronnie Corbett - who's Ronnie Corbett?"

    Absolutely wonderful.

  • This is possibly my favourite sketch they've done. It's brilliant.

  • superb, very clever sketch

  • The ultimate 'wordsmiths'. There will never be their like again.

  • Ultama Word-Smith? Lyka Gayne? I think they went to my school......

  • The sad thing is that I actually know someone like this. . .

  • I'm not too sure what you mean. What I meant was that I know someone who's always dropping names, like in the sketch. Whenever we're talking, he'll always find some way to mention some famous friend of his. That's all...

  • One of their most underrated sketches. Truly great.

  • fantastic stuff, rip ronnie barker

  • Soooooo clever!!!

  • lol classic!

  • great. two legends
