  • oh hell yes a gem of a song its fuckin timeless

  • I wonder did any1 suggest Sound Chains when they were coming up with a name

  • Alice Mudgarden

  • what an orgasmic song *-*

  • Cantrell and Cornell should keep this up, Alice Slavegarden ftw

  • @keaton223 Slave in Chaingarden

  • I just can say....Fucking awesome song

  • Comment removed

  • damn!

Chris and Layne should've done more songs together! Layne's snarly-ness and Chris' power makes a great combination!

  • @ermonski it sounds like grunge angels singing

  • "your decision"

  • Why isn't Ann Wilson of Heart mentioned? He too contributed to this song....

  • @mynameisarsi u mean she

  • @mynameisarsi didnt do right turn i dont think, two other songs on the EP

  • @mynameisarsi Ann Wilson is a woman....

  • So amazing.

  • Every time I look for some music grunge wise, I ALWAYS seem to find every band linked to Chris Cornell...it's pretty awesome :]

  • Oh god those vocals from Cornell... wow. Both are great but Chris is on a whole 'nother level vocally

  • A true supergroup that never was. TOTD and Mad Season too, I miss real music

  • sounds to me like it's definitely jerry on the intro and cornell next, from there it's tough for me to tell. sounds like layne with cantrell harmonizing? then the mudhoney dude for the really low notes, then all hell breaks loose.

  • @schism206 The Mudhoney huy? he has a name you know how could you not now what it is mudhoney is the best band out of the three

  • @TheRealAngusturtle if your upset because some guy on the internet doesn't know the singer of a band, you have bigger issues in life.

  • @schism206 I'm not really upset, jeez

  • @TheRealAngusturtle it's all good man, i never really got into mudhoney as i did AIC or soundgarden, so i'm not really familiar with the members. just my musical preference.

  • Can anyone isolate each vocal part?

  • 1:29-1:53?? Who is doing the backing vocals? At some parts it sounds like Chris.

  • You idiots listen to too many crap mp3s. Buy a CD or some Vinyl and listen to it on a real sound system.

It's Jerry, Chris, Layne, and Mark does the "Now were as low as we can get..."

Then it's each of them singing in a round.

  • Hard to believe somebody tricked you......

  • Comment removed

  • @bloodtearsej it's Jerry, CHRIS, Layne, Layne + Cantrell, MARK, then all of them together with Cornell taking the lead. Cornell's voice is ridiculously easy to recognize, hell, every one of them is easy to recognize

  • @Lawldudz my bad... sorry ... I do know Chris voice but he does have a way of changing.. Some one even said that Layne wasnt even in this song... sorry i guess we shouldnt fight about it really, its too damn of a good song with four kick arse artists...lets just enjoy it

  • @Lawldudz my bad sorry.. , truelistening to it harder , tho to my ears it does'nt sound like Chris..(dumb) anyways, i guess we should,nt fight about it really, it too damn good of a song with four kick arse artists... lets all just enjoy.......

  • Love this song so so MUCH

  • Comment removed

  • Guys, the first vocals are Cantrell, don't tell me you can't hear that. Then it's Chris, then Layne, and then it's Jerry + Layne + Chris + Mark.

  • I love the harmony that starts at 1:29 sooooooo awesome.

Also just to clear some stuff up:

0:20 - 0:38 Mark Arm (Sounds a lot like Cantrell though)

    0:39 - 1:55 Chris Cornell

1:56 - 2:31 Layne Staley (It's pretty obvious. He's got that slight lisp from the heroin use.)

2:32 everyone just says fuck it and they all come in.

  • @ShdowSora Screw that. 0:20 - 0:38 is REALLY starting to sound like Cantrell.

Well, Mark's lost somewhere in the song.

  • Comment removed

  • @ShdowSora I have to argue that:

    0:20 - 0:38 - is DEFINITELY Cantrell

    0:39 - 1:16 - Is Cornell

    1:18 - 1:53 - Is Staley

1:56 - 2:31 - Is DEFINITELY Mark Arm ( if you listen to any Mudhoney track you will hear the same sort of Novocaine/nasally, slow sounding drawl he has when he sings.)

And yeah, then they all say fuck-it and all jump in! :)

  • my ears just had an intense grungegasm...

  • I wish they had done more... or will collaborate in the future.

  • I love this song a lot

  • oh yes -- they all rock -- FUCK YES! Best.... live on until death takes us all... we will hear thsi. Salad

  • greatest song to have stuck in your head. the vocals make me peeee

  • I always loved this, and then on SAp they do that funky song afterword always cracked me up

  • who's voice is that at 02:30 , please?

  • @thebiggestmoviefan mark arm, from mudhoney

  • @AxlMetal thanks a lot ;)

  • @thebiggestmoviefan Hey if you're talking about who is singing the higher notes that begin right after 2:30 towards the end, that's Chris Cornell!

  • @komplikatedmel are you sure? it definitely doesn't seem like chris to me :/

  • @thebiggestmoviefan Hey :) i don't know if we're talking about the same part haha. I'm talking about the end when they all sing together, Chris sings the high notes when they're all singing together ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @thebiggestmoviefan

of course its cornell.....is sounds exactly like him at the end.......

  • @thebiggestmoviefan Its Cornell at 0:38 until Layne comes in and at the end with the higher notes...........Mark Arm is at the very beginning and all throughout the rest........No were as low as we can get cant leave and cant forget........damn that hard

  • @thebiggestmoviefan chris cornell

  • Chris is god

  • ens of the song should of been longer, the solo vocals at the end, the breakdown in singing is badass and should have been at least a minute longer. Thats when layne and chris really start to cut lose.

  • wow only two peopl saidthey dont like this song... even though so many people ahve watched it but it only makes sence. this is some nice music.

  • mark arm is about as low as he can get

  • its jerry cantrell, cornell, layne, then mark arm, then them all. you people should know this by now

  • 2 people out there aren't right.

  • soundhoneychains is better

  • I can taste the notes that are sung.

    So tasteful.

  • this song gives me goosebumps every fucking time

  • I was born in the wrong era of music. Everything today sucks. This is so amazing though. The 90's definitely had the most emotion in its music than any other era.

  • @SaintJ44

Too true. I grew up in the era. Music today sucks to me compared to the 90's, unless it's a 90's band(s) reformed such as Audioslave.....

  • @78mcf Thats what I thought but actually their are some really good bands around Its just really difficult to find them. Black rebel motorcycle club and the war on drugs for example. But yeah 90s still was clearly much better.

  • @SaintJ44 I definitely disagree that "EVERYTHING today sucks", that is so wrong attitude. Still, 90's were IMO the best rock music-era out there, so many damn classic albums, etc.

  • @SaintJ44 thats a pitty u dont search... theres dozens of great music nowadays

  • @SaintJ44 "Everything sucks today"? Hell fucking no, that is pure bullshit. I am a HUGE fan of 90's but there is a lot of good music.

  • @GoodGuitarSolos yeah definitely! a lot of people like to rip on todays music just because of certain artists being popular, but there's just as much good music still being made, you just got to look for it! lol

  • I could listen to these cats howl all night... fucking love it. Why-O-Why only one song together?!?!

  • This is the 90's best shit right here thanks for posting

  • such a good song

  • mark arm made this song so much better

  • It's Jerry, then Chris, then Layne.

  • @MattLombardo77 and then Mark from Mudhoney

  • When I was listening to this, i was like, lolz how did Jerry suddenly sound so much like chris cornell? Little did I know it really was Chris...

Jerry was the first one singing right? And then cornell, and then cornell with layne and then Mark Arm? I donno.

  • cornell was always hit and miss to me, it depended on how his vocals were applied to the song. towards the end of this magnificent song, he really tied the whole thing into a whole new level. rip layne.

  • hmmm anyone else think mark arm sounded the best?

  • Did I just read this: "Old AIC sucks, new AIC is the shit" ??! wtf. I never thought i'd see that. Just listen to this song. New AIC ain't that bad, but they can't ever capture this emotion and atmosphere.

    RIP Layne

  • @NearDark87 esta bien, ambos alice in chains son distintos, pero debes entender que cantrell tampoco puede estar toda su vida lamentandose sobre layne stanley, el debe seguir adelante con sus proyectos y con su musica, y yo la hecho muy bien!

  • @NearDark87 amen brother!

  • @NearDark87 that's COMPLETELY opposite of what I usually read about Alice in Chains. If you ask me, Black Gives Way To Blue is just as awesome as Dirt. I can't wait for them to release a new album.

  • @Chrissy61101 I'll pretend you didn't just say that "Black Gives Way to Blue is just as awesome as Dirt". Don't get me wrong, I love their new stuff just as much as the next person but Dirt stands unparalleled at the peak AIC's discography.

  • @d22587 GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE LAYNE>WILL ANY DAY OF THE WEEK

  • @italianking29 I guess bigotry runs rampant thoughout this website.

  • @d22587 It's just a fact man lol no hate just saying the truth

  • @italianking29 I think old Alice in Chains is garbage. I like the new stuff with William DuVall better.

  • @d22587 You must be deaf than.

  • @italianking29 Obviously not if I can hear the audio on this video.

  • @d22587 I bet your ass likes it when a 9 incher goes in instead of a 6 incher. Fucking fag

  • @RebornLayneStaley You're the one who brings up sodomy and gay sex. So that makes you the fag, not me.

  • @d22587 You already said sumtin gay as fuck. William Duvall a better singer than layne. That right there makes you a full blown fag

  • @RebornLayneStaley and how does music taste and preferance determine a persons sexual orientation?

  • Layne kicked ass in this song. Then Mark Arm, Cantrell the Cornell. sorry, i love Chris, but he didnt do an awesomely amazing part in this song, he was good, but not like his usual stuff. but all of them sounded amazing at the end

  • 4 of seattles best vocalists on 1 song!

  • @umumgot 3 vocalist? where did you get the 4th?

  • @jeanshere66 layne staley, jerry cantrell, mark arm, chris cornell

  • One of their most under rated songs ever

  • amazing song.

  • @DeeJjay200 Go jump off a bridge your music taste sucks

  • @DeeJjay200 I'd rather listen to this, then "NEH NEH NEH NEH NEH NEH NEH."

  • @DeeJjay200 Successful troll is successful.

  • @DeeJjay200 oh dear

  • funny thing is most people dont even notice that layne takes over at like 1:17. gotta be a chains fan to know that one.

  • WAAT?!?! i didnt know mark arm wuz in this aaswell

  • @meinchains146 hence the "mud"

  • can anyone tell me more about this song?

  • great musicians, great song...lazy band name haha Rock on seattle

  • Comment removed

  • Chris Cornell being my biggest inspiration, I have to say Layne fitted the best in this song. I hope he rocks on in heaven.

  • @Ventasmentos

I'm sure he is......Kurt cobain, Layne Staley, Jim Morrison & Jimmy Hendrix are all rockin out together

  • Alice Mudgarden = Alice + Mark Arm of Mudhoney + Chris Cornell of Soundgarden

  • @hollywoodsaint57 AND DIMEBAG DARREL

  • Cantrell + Layne + Chris + Mark + All. End

  • Opss..Chris and then Layne

  • ...and into the fire!

thats like my favorite lyric, i dont know why

  • MINE TOO! IS THE BEST PART!

  • Imagine if these guys had brought an album out!!! Mark Arm's voice is great when he's doing these sort of songs, sounds really haunting

  • Fucking amazing collaboration

  • @GrungeNYC I agree

  • fucking amazing. All there is to it.

  • 3 of my fave bands come together and make me happy as a pig in an alicemudgarden

  • @sidewaysjsideways bwahahahahahahahaha xD that's the greatest thing i've ever heard. i will only use this as a happy as "..." statement for the rest of my life.

  • mark arm is a bad dude

  • Ive read that this was one of the songs on "black hawk down" but ive seen the movie twice and still can find. Anyone who knows where in the film this is played??

  • It plays where the soldiers were just sitting down and relaxing like in the begging before the war

  • ok thx, great song btw.

  • wait was this in a movie or something?

  • Blackhawk Down

  • Reminds me of being a teenager, all grunge does.this song is a fuckin anthem

  • apparently this was originally gonna be a side project, but because all three bands were becoming really big they decided to shelve the idea for a while and it's still up there and probably won't come down now cos of Layne's death :/

  • Never heard this before till just now. So awesome!

  • Die band is einfach endgeil....

Euch werd ich bei rock am ring vermissen !!!!!!!

  • Ja!

  • chris is the man

  • It goes, Jerry Cantrell, Chris Cornell, Mark Arm and then him and Layne Stayley start harmonizing. AWESOME SONG!!!! =D

  • layne is after cornell. he comes in around 1:17...right?

  • Na man. It goes Jerry, Cornell, Arm then Layne comes in with Mark Arm singing "now were as low as we can get.... " etc. :) I love this song SOOOOO much

  • And Chris goes high at the end.

  • no you are right about the first two but Layne is before Arm. It ain't right dude

  • for me, this one's all about mark arm

  • chris in the height of his screamin' days

  • DAMN U EMO

  • Help! Somebody please get me out of here!!!!!!

I just can't stop listening over and over... And each time some new detail is uncovered, then fully enjoyed. Perfection, that's the name of it!

  • Seems like I'm dreaming... What a set of geniuses!!!

My favorite is Chris, but Layne's voice here sounds sooooo wide... as much as Chris' is powerfully high!! Love all those guys!

  • in the 80's i listened to the 90's and now I listen to it all pretty much.

RIP all of our lost brothers and sisters - each and every one trying to better this world via musical expression.

Zeitgeist movie - call me crazy :)

  • is jerry playing guitar ?? yea righ>? or na?

    just wondering

  • Thia song is the epitome of the grunge history and grunge bands!Everyone who sings in this song is the top of this music, and the last seconds of the song, prove it undoubtedly.....

  • ur too right

    brother getcha pull

  • Greatest music scene ever. Never going to see bands like these again. Gone are the Soundgarden's, the pearl jams and the alice in chains

  • Layne was a good singer, now hes dead, and for what? drugs. Thats sad:(

  • he couldn't stop it, he wanted off the drugs, years before he died, but he couldn't. It was a tragedy

  • ur right he tried but the drugs just took over.

just imagine how different it would be if Layne were still here.(way better)

    R.I.P.- Layne Staley

    1967-2002

  • very touching song

    RIP Layne...

  • this is right turn from aic's sap album

  • Long Live 90s Grunge!!! Grunge of the early 90s was the last major wave of rock music which had its beginning in the mid 50s perhaps. All that i see now is a bunch of fake, pseudo posers who have contaminated rock n roll and indie rock in particular.

  • if thats what you hold dear you're exceptionally sad.

  • if that's what you hold dear you're exceptionally sad.

  • for fuck sakes i was trying to post that as a response to parafleet. maybe I AM the knob after all. Youre still a long gone hippie parafleet.

  • Amen dude!

All i listen to is the 90s and below..

I'm in love with the stuff.

    RIP Layne Staley

who cares if im only thirteen lol.

    music dont have an age.
