Mother Nature is not a racist. You/we are on this planet to take care of her. Since big governments do not do their part, we as citizens of the universe get punished. First Love yourself, love your neighbor, love one another and love the Earth. It's not nice to fool Mother Nature. Peace, love and happiness be with man.
How could the government pull off a national disaster. The preparation and response for Katrina was a huge failure on the individual, city, state, and federal level. People didn't think it would be as bad as it was, but we were wrong and we misjudged the power of this storm. I was there the entire time, it was a nightmare, believe me.
The world in fact has no culture, everything that you even remotely think is your culture is stored in libraries in India, the Phoenix that everyone thinks is an Eagle, the Swastika, your religion, your enslavement, your mathematics, your smarts and logic, your totally valueless currency, every aspect of your media, your allies, your mortal enemies were all used and devised thousands of years ago by Hindu Brahman priests this is why our politicians are taking direct orders from foreign entities.
If we actually had an educational system instead of a mass in doctrination system this whole thing would be much easier to understand. I'm a black pimp who has solely been educated in pimpology and I can tell you all very precisely that the true core of the problem is Hindu Brahmans, these are the people behind everything that is totally incomprehensible in the world. The same people who collapsed Rome, Nazi Germany and the USSR are collapsing America. Read a book titled "Cultivating Demons".
People must look past their own hatred, judgement, blindness, and ignorance, and realize that we ALL bleed the same color, we are all human, no1 is without sin, no1 is without mistake, so why do we judge and harp on trivial things? Life is a blessing that far too many take for granted. WAKE UP! OPEN YOUR EYES! Reach deep down into your heart and MAKE IT COUNT! WE ARE ALL GOD'S CHILDREN! God loves us ALL, why can't we love each other? Is it really that hard? NO!! ITS NOT!
Some people were breaking into places in search of food and neccessities. Why on earth someone would steal a tv or something stupid like that in a situation like this when they have no home to bring it to and no electricity to utillize it, hell, they couldn't even sell it because no one was dumb enough to buy it, but I could never understand that. There are bad people everywhere. You have to look past the foolishness and concentrate on the real issue here. NO1 DESERVES THIS! EVER! GOD BLESS!
do a damn thing about it while you yourself is starving but would gladly give them every piece of food you have, then you can comment. When you've witnessed anything even nearly as horrific, then you can say something. But I guarantee that your comment would be much different. One thing people don't realize is that yes, a lot of bad things happened after the hurricane, like the looting, the murders, the rapes, but you have to blame THOSE LOSERS, not the innocent people.
But what I can tell you is that once you've seen dead bodies(old, young, white, black) floating in the water surrounding the rooftop of your home which you have been stuck on top of for days without food, without water, without shelter from the immense heat of day and from the pitch black night, then you can pass your judgement. Once you've witnessed your own hungry babies and children crying and begging for just a piece of food or a sip of water and you feel the helplessness of not being able to
Ok so i've read a LOT of the comments which are very disturbing. I can tell you first hand that this tragedy and ALL the people affected by the NATURAL DISASTER is NOT a JOKE. I was here during ALL of this. I live 30 mins outside of New Orleans. There are multiple reasons why people stayed. No matter the reasons, no matter your opinion of those reasons, no matter your opinion of any of these people, it was a TRAGEDY! I have no idea first-hand what it was like in Mississippi.
I am a firefighter in washington parish,I went to new oleans to help,I helped with black people and white people,I see no color,we are all gods people.
this was all a setup. When the New Madrid Fault Line erupts and a 9.0 Earthquake hits 5 USA States Obama will say "We will not have another Katrina. We have ask for help from the UN Forces already here in America on training to help us." This is how they will push the NWO Police force onto the American people with ease. Obama will be called a hero and millions will go off to FEMA camps. I recommend looking up FEMA NLE 2011 and The New Madrid Fault Line. If you live in this area FEMA has u a camp
There were plenty of tourists on that bridge. They left their hotels and didn't want to do to the Dome so they tried to walk across the bridge. The crowd was 95% black meaning thousands of whites were also stopped walking from one part of Louisiana to another by police. Face it America has so much hate be it financial class or race that in the face of adversity you will pick fights on each other...
Unlike Tunisia, Egypt or Libya be it black, Arab, poor, middle class they are one!
What do you want? A medal? You may have went to New Orleans after the storm but I lived through it on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Doubt you came here. Not dramatic enough for you I presume. You weren't in a Cat 5 storm either. It was a 3 when it made landfall. If the people in New Orleans would've acted like the people in Mississippi their wouldn't have been as many people die.If we were in the early 1900's their would've been 30,000 deaths at least. Ne Orleans was warned multiple times of this

@mandychina1 What if, what if, what if....this is America there's always a way out!!! They could've WALKED for all I care. But then again, you're kind of right...I mean the dumbass Mayor and Governor were so ill prepared even after about 5 DAYS IN ADVANCE. Heartless? SO MUCH PAIN..THANK YOU LORD FOR BRINGING US THROUGH THIS HORRIBLE TIME...VERY PAINFUL TO WATCH BECAUSE I LIVED IT AND ITS A CONSTANT MEMORY FOR ALL THOSE WHO I HAVE LOST IN THIS STORM..MAY THEIR SOULS REST IN PEACE..
We Are All Human We All Have The SAME BEGINNING, we ALL HURT THE SAME, CRY THE SAME, BREATH THE SAME WE ALL SHARE THE SAME FATE- DEATH SO WHY TRY TO PUT ONE ANOTHER DOWN FOR A MEAR DIFFERENCE IN APPEARANCE BLACK OR WHITE MEXICAN OR NATIVE AMERICAN WE ALL FIGHT THE SAME BATTLES DAILY AND ONE DAY WE SHALL ALL STAND TOGETHER EVERY WALK OF LIFE TO BE JUDGED BY GOD

5 YEARS ON... You can be sure that the lost ones to this devastating event will be resting in peace and still sadly missed by many. Take care of each other America.
I live in New Oleans why would I go anywhere else at that present Time don't blame me for the racist Comments and for as I know we picked up whites and blacks in that boat it didn't matter to me what the mayor said or what the president said if your az wouldve been on a roof top for a week I wouldve pick you up too.
@STICKMAN504 I am very sorry you have to deal with ignorant comments if I had the power Katrina and other ignoramouses wouldn't exist. God bless you all of your days in the name of the all mighty JESUS. You and other people survived cause you are strong and God wants you to do more works on the earth. I love you in the name of JESUS.
ok stickman i have to ask is this the only place you went too???? new orleans wasnt the only place that suffered from katrina,,the last time i checked the entire gulf coast suffered!!..awwwww poor new orleans!! if there mayor would have took the the funds to fix the levey when he had them maybe new orleans would have not had to go swimming,,and as far as blaming the white man some one please tell me what color was the mayor for new orleans???? but its still the white mans fault right???
Sat on the upstairs unit of a double, waiting for a boat to pass for 3 days. All I could think was,the world was ending and I would die in that house.Hot & noisy during the day;helicopters flying all over, air horns & whistles being blown. After night fall,it was so dark,so hot;in pitch black all I could hear were people screaming & yelling for help;every night, the screams & cries became weaker & fewer in numbers while the smell of death grew stronger & more distinct. It truly felt like Hell.........
@DerRai80 --God, it must have been horrible. I wish they would be honest enough to make a documentary of the real victims, we never heard from them. Gov't wants to shut em up so no one figures out they blew the levies and left them all to die. God bless you, man.
When I was younger I visited NO several times, the last being the spring before Katrina. It's pretty much my most favourite place in the world and when the news stations here in the UK reported the storm I just remember feeling so horrified at what had happened. When I finally returned last year it was shocking to see how much damage still remained, and yet the soul and spirit of the city was pretty much exactly as I remember it, if a little more resilient. God Bless New Orleans.
The world watched Katrina unfold and we saw as well the chaos and devastation that hit New Orleans. As Stickman504 says, watch the video and read the comments. My grandfather was from New Orleans. He had passed a few years before Katrina. Watching the video and looking at the water tugs at my heart so hard. Remember, it wasn't Katrina but the levees failing that brought the water. Man made neglect. Thousands of lives and homes lost. Thanks for archiving the footage. May we never forget.
It's an vhc video non digital yes I film it off another tv Next time I'll stop at best buy in the boat and purchase and digital HD cam in the middle of a Cat. 5 hurricane that's why I say read the comments your question has been answered serval times .
We need JUSTICE for all the people loss, we need JUSTICE for all who suffered as a result of Hurricane Katrina. Justice has not been served, the government must pay for what they did to the people of New Orleans. The man made FLOOR killed more than 20,000 but they only tell of 1600 and a few. Who will tell our story, and tell it right? The people of New Orleans still suffer 4-years and 8-month we still suffer. It's like no one wants to hear the truth. Great work!
HAARP research it....same thing happened with haiti only it was an earthquake...it's time to really see the truth with your eyes....it's not a game anymore...They aren't getting the supplies like we think they are or rather what the media is showing us..
It's Almost 5 Years Later And As I watched This Video As A Survivor Of Katrina A Tear Drop Fell! This Should Never Be Forgotten So That It Never happens Again!
God Bless All New Orleans People I'll Always Care I'll Be Back Home Some Day!
@hataCONTROL187 if i knew a monster ass hurricane was coming right for me, and that i could possibly die, I WOULD WALK MY ASS AWAY TO SAFER GROUNDS if i had no other way to get there. these people were warned days ahead of time, there was no excuse not to leave, except for ignorance.
@lpbgl ok lets see your ass walk away when ur 60+... plus alot of ppl didnt believe it was gonna be bad bcuz we been warned alot 4 nothing... none of you experienced anything like katrina so until your in that situation y dont u shut the fuck up... none of you ppl understand what happened... so who's the ignorant 1?.. i hope you get hit by mother nature like no other... then we'll see you on here cryin about your fucked up city bein wrecked.. and have your friends stuck in it... so FUCK YOU!!!
@lpbgl YOu be in that situation and tell me if it is easy to walk away and live everything you own behind. Pictures of family, personal belongins that can not be replaced. I am not saying that I disagree but when you step back and take an actulll look from their eyes you may see something different!
@lpbgl and on a side not Galveston, tx was devastated by a hurricane in the last few years and i didnt see the residents there complaining to the govt that they were doing anything. those people their kept their mouths shut, pulled it together and rebuilt, instead of pointing fingers and bitching about how the govt caused and wanted this to happen
this "natural"disaster did have everything to do with race...the government extermination of dispensible humans or sheep as they refer to us...what is most disturbing is the failure to see who our enemy is and the ignorance displayed in these comments...u are reacting exactly as the government wants u to it wants u to turn on one another in times of peril...wake up!
some of yall sound so stupid.how was some of them to just up and leave when they idnt have the money to. stpid ass yall the kind i would punh right in the face real talk
There are those that have made the case that the levees were blown in order to flood the lower 9th ward... more and more details are coming out that there was also raids conducted on homes that were not in the flood areas, by federalized police to seize weapons from private citizens. The real tragedy though is that there was so much human suffering... race has nothing to do with what happened those few days.
Katrina was a horrible, destructive storm. We can blame each other, the government, or whatever....those of us who survived.....we will perservere. We, as a people, black, white, red, yellow, whatever...we are all people and we will perserservere....
I was born and raised all over the gulf coast. I have been in love with the city of New Orleans since the first time i was there when i was 11 years old. What happened in New Orleans was man made. The small town of Waveland, Ms was wipped off the map due to that storm. It was their own fault for staying in a place they knew could not handle a CAT 5's surge.
fucking race issues why dont yall grow the fuck up and it wasnt the presidents fault and the only thing that happenned with the rescue was that they have to wait so many hrs before rescue period so grow up assholes and why do u have to remove comments are you to pussy to let people read them get real and the reason so many people died or got left behind is they were too stupid to leave when nagin said leave dumbasses
i dont know where you come from but some of them have been there longer than we have been alive so they saw it fit to stay where they were at. who are you to call them stupid
im 15 i was there and that was the worst thing ever i lived on the beach and my house got all messed up so every where on the cost and off the cost was the same so just stop the hate
All you people in here wastein space being racist..When we die we all turn to dust and we all bleed blue...We all need food and shelter and when the floods come we all drown.....
How deplorable are some of these comments? Whats so scary is how casually ingrained racism is instilled in so many, including self hating blacks that refer to themselves in terms of a pimp. The question I really have is, who is the true savage, the so called black 'thugs' or people who suggest that other races should be drowned out.
Did you just read the parts you wanted to read, wow you should be on NBC or ABC news with that skill. Im white and I dont refer to myself as a pimp, I made this name as a joke that me and my friends have when we were younger back when I first made this screenname. Racism has nothin to do with this, there are thugs of many colors especaly in N.O. I know I live there, Ive been jumped for waring blue, I got my shoes stolen from me in grade school. I am a savage cause I make sure I get my payback.
I aint the other people leavin racist comments. I speak for myself, noone else. I know who I am, quit tryin to tell me what I am I can put any name on here It doesnt mean anything. I aint a pimp, never used a pimp, never even used a hooker. Ive been married to the same woman for 5 years since I was 19 faithfuly. Yes race played the biggest part in the govt not helpin. Cause the majority are white in New Orleans. Do ya really think the govt that bends over backwards for minorities would do that
Ahhh, can't prove me wrong so try to make me feel stupid for provin myself right. Cool. Its natural to argue and take offence. Next time don't try and put a lable on someone when the clearly explain that thats not the case, then people wouldn't get defensive. Lil food for thought.
no it didnt...Im white and I went thru the same thing....I was on the coast . Hey guess what new flash..Black, Whhite, Chinese, Mexican...we had no time for making up strawmen to knock down...we sawpast and made our own way cuz New Orleans was getting all the help,,,ha guess you might think about how little we got,,..racist propagating hate...that is not right and not what Jesus would go with
Man, Im from New Orleans, and when this happened, I only thought of one thing. God I hope you will wash all these thugs away, killem all. Now Im not sayin blacks, cause our culture came a lot from em along with whites. We did it together. But we don't got no more culture, It's fuckin thugs in da prodjects killin and wantin somethin for nothin. A lot of us want this city to be as it was, not an immatation of itself. So, nice try God, better luck next time.
maybe you should click on my name and read my page before you start calling me aryan. My name is CGPA ryan. You can read the page to understand or you can choose not to. You know the so called 'black thugs' suggest white ppl should be snuffed out. the new black panther party? they are horrible!!!
Why on earth would any body want to snuff out whites? You guys have been so good to everyone, look what you guys did for the indians-rescued them from their own country and put em on reservations. My goodness, and my people-too kind! Why you guys brought us out of africa to build up this country free of charge for 400years and wiped every meomery of where we came from, even our own names--free of charge. What lunatic would want you guys gone? Since you guys been in charge the earth has gotten
has been polluted, forrest have disappeared and animals have gone extinct. Those crazy black panthers! Its not as if whites have been anything but the most wonderful chaps towards us, the dogs, the lynchings, good shit, all of it! I don't know why they would get the idea that whites were anything to fear or worse to be anninilated. Good times! Humanity owes you guys a boon! And my bad about your name, its weird bc it looks like aryan is right after cgp, it musta be dem foolish ise of mine.
I would have made it look like this... CGPA/ryan but you tube wont let you put slashes in your name. Look, I have never owned slaves, never!! My parents didnt either!!! So, NO!! I dont understand why todays crap panther party wants to kill all whites. They are completly ignorant. Oh, and this video sucks!
naw im sayin... naw im sayin,, naw wha im sayin,, naw im sayin... blah ja blah bleh blah blah blah,, naw wha'm sayin... blah blah jeah blah bleh white man,,,, racisim,,, white mans fault, naw im sayin,,....blah blah blah bullshit blah more bullshit....knaw ummm sayin,.... knaw im sayin,,.... bleh bleh blah... white mans fault this hurricane destroyed my house.. knaw immm sayin knaw im sayin knaw im sayin.... Want to be treated differently? Educate yourself and speak english Sir!
Ray nagin blew it -hundreds of school buses under water.Blanco blew it-very poor leadership on both their parts. Then FEMA blew it,all those poor poele abandoned by their state and federal governments-a national disgrace that still has not been rectified. They should all be ashamed.
Man this breaks my heart when I see and remember what happened to my hometown life was so good before the storm and just got fucked up when Katrina did her dirt and then Rita came right behind her New Orleans I Love You Uptown 4-ever We Will Continue To Live On
i couldn't understand what the man at the beginning of the video was saying.2005 really sucked. a few weeks after katrina, my son was diagnosed with ewing sarcoma and we became patients of st. jude's in memphis. we live in springfield missouri and when i was watching this horror on tv i never dreamed that in a few weeks my own life would fall apart. a horrible time.
He was basically saying that it was a shame how America's response was so slow as compared to our help to foriegn countries. He also went on to further explain that the conservations of the surrounding wetlands have been neglected and attributed that to one of the many reasons. I hope I helped you out in some way, also God bless you and St. Jude is a good place for kids.
FEMA says people weren't preying on eachother. Their was no rape or homicide. They were wrong. I know what happened. The morining after the storm my brothers were sent out to rescue the abandoned and people were trying to steal their truck. They had footage of even NOPD breaking into stores. It was nothing but chaos. They even saw a man attemting to kill a pregnant woman. They luckily had an AK-47 and a shotgun and saved her. Their is no need to cover up for others demons. The survivors know....
i have been to louisiana and i truly understand the meaning of what has happened down there. i've been going down there in the gulf coast for 3 years and it gets better every year i go
I cannot imagine being in the midst of anything like this..God bless those that survived and those that didn't, I pray for their eternal and peaceful rest. The news and pictures were devastating enough but some of the stories coming out of N.O. told by the relocated survivors were just terrible. At night, those people had no protection from the people that preyed on the innocent. God bless you all, I cannot imagine experiencing anything like this..at all.
i think that levy was blown up by some people, but i do no like to wait around for a hurricane to pass. As soon as they say its a cat 4 or 5, im evacuating! shit i will evacuate even if its a cat 3!
I think i would have road off on a bicycle if i did not have a car. Most of those poor people did not have the financial means to just up and leave. It is always two sides to a story. The shame is on the mayor. All them parked buses went to waist as they sat and ruined in the flood. Just think how many could have been saved if the mayor would have ordered emergency officials to wisk them to safety. The mayor was too dayum busy taking a flight with his own family to run away and leave them behind
I love how people can blame one person for a fucking hurricane. The gov told everyone to leave. Did bush force you to live where you live. I will be the first to admit bush has fucked this country up but as far as this goes don't think he had much to do with this one. It is a sad thing though
It is not about who left or not, its the fact that everyone would have been fine if the levees had not broke, also noting they were supposed to have been able to withstand such a storm, and yet, they broke.
I take that back he wasn't a piece of shit , he was a dumbass. but , beside the point
It was not my fault this happened to me . i was doing my job. Keepin his ass from getting out that gate to hurt more people.
If it were not for guys like myself keepin them inside the gates , guys like you wouldn't have the "normal" life you tend to not think about. You show me one person that woulda stayed in NOLA if they woulda had the means to leave ..
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
About your story, that sucks man. I'm sorry what happened to you. But there are people in NOLA that were just ignorant to the facts, so they decided to stay. All those people that stayed in their houses, and tried waving down helicopters, etc. They could have left. They didn't. They suffered. Now, the people who are sick, or hurt, that's the breaks. That's life for ya.
See when it came to people not leavin, that was local gov't. Ray Nagen didn't want to prepare and use all those busses he had in the city to bring them out, why, cause they didn't have AC. FEMA was slow to get there and it sucked, but when they did they bent over backwards to make people better. I thank FEMA for all they've done for me and my family.
the "THUNDER" over-dub was a little too much for me I was there for KATRINA CLOSER TO WHERE IT HIT THAN NEW ORLEANS and there was NO LIGHTNING OR THUNDER TO MY RECOLLECTION JUST A LOT OF WIND AND RAIN
True enough, they were told to leave. But that doesnt mean they didnt any help. Everybody makes mistakes and unwise decisions, but come on...they could have gotten MORE help. My heart and prayes goes out to the victims of this disaster. I love EVERYBODY from New Orleans,LA they are real good people. they did deserve more help. Someone give them SOME slack.
hey im really srry for the people and state and towns but it wasnt bush's fault what did you expect him to do ask god to plz not do this if he gave god money think before you speak
Your not listening. They were all told to leave. THEY WERE TOLD NOT TO EXPECT HELP. MAYBE THEY SHOULD'VE CONSIDERED NOT LIVING IN A DITCH RIGHT NEXT TO THE OCEAN.
Like i said to this other dude, if the levee's had not broke, everyone would've been fine, and the levee's were built to withstand such a storm, and still broke, and better yet, not everyone even knew a storm was coming, or couldn't do anything about it, and lastly, not everyone can choose where they want to live....
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
If you live on the Gulf Coast, you should expect a hurricane to hit you, eventually. Levees don't last forever, they'll all break eventually. It always takes a catastrophe to get people to improve things. And I'm sure they made the new levee in NOLA much stronger. Yes, everyone CAN control where they want to live. It's a choice whether they act or not. Don't tell me poor people just couldn't get out. It's their choice to be poor, and not do anything with their lives.....
no actually it isn't , some people can't work because of injuries, some have mental problems , some just have diseases that ruined thier bodies. They didn't choose to be that way. Thats the hand they were given. I am not trying to talk shit or anything but think about it. I worked for the State of Georgia , I got hurt , got fired , they didn't care . Now i am stuck in a small town with very little money a wife and 2 kids. Is that my fault?
It was a piece of shit inmate that I had to fight.
one thing i know about bush is that he wouldve save those people, but people in n.o. dont think that people in the world these days will not be there for you these days man, and no one isnt taking it seriously. the rich shows no mercy for the poor and the weak. new orleans if you look back in history there were serious racism since the city was built.
The Gov't told the people to leave. They didn't leave. It is their fault. You can't expect the Gov't to risk lives for dumb idiots that decided to stay, when told otherwise.
you people do not know what we have been through. the reason why nobody left is because most of them left for all of the other hurricanes and no damage was done so they stayed for this one.
I know. We left for Gustav also. But we stayed for Katrina. I live less than a mile away from the Gulf. If our house wasnt raised I would probably be dead right now. And now they are making people get out of their fema traliors. Some of them have NO where to go. Its been almost 4 years after the storm but houses arent finished. This is sad.
He needs to get his ass out of the boat and walk, it's only ankle deep, but instead hes a victim lol. Blame everyone else but yourself because you can't swim and are too lazy to get off your ass.
I have this feeling that you know nothing of what you're talking about. So learn the real facts or shut up. I have better things to do than read socialist propaganda.
Tell me, what area of the country do you live in? I live in Mississippi. We were the hardest hit by Katrina! Not New Orleans! They got skirted by the storm. I took it's full force! Can you say that?
So tell me, why call me a coward? I stand up for what I believe in and don't let anyone sway my decisions. I act with honor and have a sever disdain for cowardice. All you have done is try to dishonor me and failed.
I feel for the people who lost so much. It was a failure on many levels. It is interesting to note that Mississippi and Alabama did not have the problems with FEMA or state response that NO did. Why is that? it is easy to blame the government but 60 miles away the response was appropriate and FEMA was the same. this tells me it was a local problem or the flood was the issue, not the color of the people or their socioeconomic level.
My Heart goes out to the decreased and survival of hurricane Katrina victims I stay in Baton Rouge and wouldn't have known how to get through this. May God bless U and Your familys. God said the Storm Is Over Now Just Accept And Keep The Faith
What an embarrassment to New Orleans - trying to make a racial issue out of Katrina.
Here's a fact for you - the NOPD canvassed the lower 9th Ward that Sunday begging people to get out. The were laughed at by barbequing "victims." The city had NOPSI buses on St. Claude and Claiborne for people who had no transportation - not one bus was filled to capacity.
Exactly!! So many people speak as though they know what they are talking about. If you didn't have the money, car and somewhere to go; you didn't get to leave. A warning doesn't give anyone means to evacuate. This isn't an issue of race, as really, nothing is; it's an issue of humanity. The longer we allow these walls that divide us to blind us to our shared humanity, the worse things will get. We must wake the hell up before it's too late.
Bush was too busy playing "army" with Cheny...

The world in fact has no culture, everything that you even remotely think is your culture is stored in libraries in India, the Phoenix that everyone thinks is an Eagle, the Swastika, your religion, your enslavement, your mathematics, your smarts and logic, your totally valueless currency, every aspect of your media, your allies, your mortal enemies were all used and devised thousands of years ago by Hindu Brahman priests this is why our politicians are taking direct orders from foreign entities.
pc0p1mp 8 months ago
If we actually had an educational system instead of a mass in doctrination system this whole thing would be much easier to understand. I'm a black pimp who has solely been educated in pimpology and I can tell you all very precisely that the true core of the problem is Hindu Brahmans, these are the people behind everything that is totally incomprehensible in the world. The same people who collapsed Rome, Nazi Germany and the USSR are collapsing America. Read a book titled "Cultivating Demons".

To the blacks of New Orleans I say: Look at SENDAI, Japan! Thousands of times more destruction....yet....NO LOOTING....NO RAPE...NO MURDER!
question : WHY?
answer: NO BLACKS!
The REAL disaster came AFTER hurricane Katrina.....trying to protect black ANIMALS from THEMSELVES!!

EVER! GOD BLESS!
FreddysGrl7 9 months ago
do a damn thing about it while you yourself is starving but would gladly give them every piece of food you have, then you can comment.
FreddysGrl7 9 months ago
But what I can tell you is that once you've seen dead bodies(old, young, white, black) floating in the water surrounding the rooftop of your home which you have been stuck on top of for days without food, without water, without shelter from the immense heat of day and from the pitch black night, then you can pass your judgement. Once you've witnessed your own hungry babies and children crying and begging for just a piece of food or a sip of water and you feel the helplessness of not being able to
FreddysGrl7 9 months ago
Ok so i've read a LOT of the comments which are very disturbing. I can tell you first hand that this tragedy and ALL the people affected by the NATURAL DISASTER is NOT a JOKE. I was here during ALL of this. I live 30 mins outside of New Orleans. There are multiple reasons why people stayed. No matter the reasons, no matter your opinion of those reasons, no matter your opinion of any of these people, it was a TRAGEDY! I have no idea first-hand what it was like in Mississippi.

this was all a setup.

You weren't in a Cat 5 storm either. It was a 3 when it made landfall. If the people in New Orleans would've acted like the people in Mississippi their wouldn't have been as many people die.If we were in the early 1900's their would've been 30,000 deaths at least.
Emmeline1984 1 year ago
The world watched Katrina unfold and we saw as well the chaos and devastation that hit New Orleans. As Stickman504 says, watch the video and read the comments. My grandfather was from New Orleans. He had passed a few years before Katrina. Watching the video and looking at the water tugs at my heart so hard. Remember, it wasn't Katrina but the levees failing that brought the water. Man made neglect. Thousands of lives and homes lost. Thanks for archiving the footage. May we never forget.

It is a sad thing though
rd2fst 2 years ago
It is not about who left or not, its the fact that everyone would have been fine if the levees had not broke, also noting they were supposed to have been able to withstand such a storm, and yet, they broke.

sorry rd i am posting to texasboy up there.

Not only the hurt or ill people died in NOLA.

See when it came to people not leavin, that was local gov't. Ray Nagen didn't want to prepare and use all those busses he had in the city to bring them out, why, cause they didn't have AC. FEMA was slow to get there and it sucked, but when they did they bent over backwards to make people better. I thank FEMA for all they've done for me and my family.

the "THUNDER" over-dub was a little too much for me I was there for KATRINA CLOSER TO WHERE IT HIT THAN NEW ORLEANS and there was NO LIGHTNING OR THUNDER TO MY RECOLLECTION JUST A LOT OF WIND AND RAIN
shane1880 2 years ago
True enough, they were told to leave. But that doesnt mean they didnt any help. Everybody makes mistakes and unwise decisions, but come on...they could have gotten MORE help. My heart and prayes goes out to the victims of this disaster. I love EVERYBODY from New Orleans,LA they are real good people. they did deserve more help. Someone give them SOME slack.

No one should ever see their family drown or die from heatstroke or starvation.
To be treated like animals being shoved into a cattle car.
To lose all diginity and respect because they were poor and uneducated.
The president should be on trial for crimes against the people of New Orleans.
Sorry but I saw the suffering on the faces of these people everyday for almost the last four years.
I left last november because of the constant struggle everyday due to Katrina.

It's not Bush's fault if people live in a hole right next to the ocean!
texasboy040 2 years ago
He did not evacuate of send help for three days while people were dying from the flooding and heatstroke.
Then the government allowed people to be seperated from pets and then allowed the pets to die from the heat and starvation.
Yeah he is a real stand up guy.
Guess the Katrina people were lucky he didn't make them pay to be rescued.
The guy was a joke for a president and now has caused the largest depression in the history of the country.
Real great guy alright once a doper alway a doper
happymike44 2 years ago
Your not listening. They were all told to leave. THEY WERE TOLD NOT TO EXPECT HELP. MAYBE THEY SHOULD'VE CONSIDERED NOT LIVING IN A DITCH RIGHT NEXT TO THE OCEAN.

Like i said to this other dude, if the levee's had not broke, everyone would've been fine, and the levee's were built to withstand such a storm, and still broke, and better yet, not everyone even knew a storm was coming, or couldn't do anything about it, and lastly, not everyone can choose where they want to live....

It's their choice to be poor, and not do anything with their lives.....
texasboy040 2 years ago
no actually it isn't , some people can't work because of injuries, some have mental problems , some just have diseases that ruined thier bodies. They didn't choose to be that way. Thats the hand they were given. I am not trying to talk shit or anything but think about it. I worked for the State of Georgia , I got hurt , got fired , they didn't care . Now i am stuck in a small town with very little money a wife and 2 kids. Is that my fault?
It was a piece of shit inmate that I had to fight.

one thing i know about bush is that he wouldve save those people, but people in n.o. dont think that people in the world these days will not be there for you these days man, and no one isnt taking it seriously. the rich shows no mercy for the poor and the weak. new orleans if you look back in history there were serious racism since the city was built.
bds10181978 2 years ago
The government failed us because Blanco did not contact the federal government.
So Bush and her were two idiots with a half of brain between them.
Many people and animals died for no reason other then no rescue was prepared for the people and animals of New Orleans.
Bush and Blanco both should have been charged with crimes against the people of New Orleans.
I left Louisiana due to the police and the government both acting like idiots.
The boyscouts would have done a better job.
happymike44 2 years ago
The Gov't told the people to leave. They didn't leave. It is their fault. You can't expect the Gov't to risk lives for dumb idiots that decided to stay, when told otherwise.
texasboy040 2 years ago
Could you please explain how the poor and sick who had no way out of New Orleans could get out.
That is like blaming the victim of a crime for causing the crime.
The people after Katrina who helped were mostly common folks with no ties to the government.
Bush was a azzhole and he was the worst president in the history of the country.
You should feel embarrassed to claim him as a fellow texan.
He is ignorant and brain dead from all the dope he smoked.
Sorry once a dopehead always a dopehead

you people do not know what we have been through. the reason why nobody left is because most of them left for all of the other hurricanes and no damage was done so they stayed for this one.
778cldaily778 2 years ago 2
Many people were to ill to travel and some people had no way out of New Orleans.
The sad part is the sheriff's murdered many people's pets and seperated families from each other.
Many animals were thought of as nothing more then animals.
Not some people's whole reason for living and breathing.
I left this year after Gustav because we feared the police would seperate us from each other and we would lose our dog.
My dog is the my best friend and he needs me more then any human I know.
happymike44 2 years ago
778cldaily778 2 years ago
After cleaning up after the worst hurricanes in history we left Louisiana.
Not by choice but because how many times can you repair and rebuild.
Crime has gotten out of hand and I grew tired of the daily struggle everyday.
Yes I miss New Orleans and Louisiana but it just can't be home anymore due to all the problems.
Sorry but I feel safer and happier since I left.
I will continue to pray for everyone down south and hope for the best for them.

What an embarrassment to New Orleans - trying to make a racial issue out of Katrina.
Here's a fact for you - the NOPD canvassed the lower 9th Ward that Sunday begging people to get out. The were laughed at by barbequing "victims." The city had NOPSI buses on St. Claude and Claiborne for people who had no transportation - not one bus was filled to capacity.
audubon5425 3 years ago 3
The worst part of this is the loss of pets.
Thousands of them were left home because the troopers wouldn't let people evacuate with a member of their family.
The pets were confiscated and turned loose to starve, or die from heatstroke.
Even worse to be shot by the troopers and never prosecuted for it.
I saw the dogs who were rescued and then rehomed.
They were lucky for every dog rehomed a thousand others were euthanized.
Think people don't have a right to complain guess again!
happymike44 3 years ago
The people who think it was stupid to stay many people who were poor were left behind by the government and forgotten.
Then forced from the remains of their homes.
Many who stayed with pets died with them because they were not allowed to take them with them.
Those who were allowed to take them with them had them taken away at evavcuaton points to later be shot, starve,or die from heatstroke.
Still think people don't have a right to complain guess again.
happymike44 3 years ago

This storm destroyed people's families and robbed them of their home, pets and belongings.
It washed away people's hopes and dreams.
Then left them at the mercy of the government.
The government failed the people both black and white of Louisiana.
We left this year due to the fear if another Katrina hit would we lose each other and my dog Rex.
It's the little things that make life worthwhile and a dog is one of god's simple things.
