@TheseBonesLiquify It should, but you have to keep in mind that The Exies' sound was clearly a 90's sound. The problem was they came out in the early 2000's, when indie rock was all the rage. They just came out at the wrong time. If their records had been released several years earlier, they probably would have been huge.
