  • cool booth!!! :D

  • people pay to use that shit? hahaha

  • how much was that real foam the black one?

  • this is awesome! i'm going to try this as soon as i can. i'm not a musician, but i'm a "soon to be" voice actor, so this would be perfect for me :D Thanks!

  • I used this idea, Went and found about 7 doors for free. Hinged them all together, stapled insulation to one side, stretched fabric over it, and set it up in my studio. I used it for anything from drums, to vocals, to violin, to acoustic guitar. This booth made my business possible in the beginning. Thank you for making this video.

  • Your design might work for you, however your plexiglass window only bounces the sound right back at you cresting back slap. One window can be plumb the second needs to be angled to redirect the sound waves away from the microphone. You will still be able to view your computer when recording. I would seal the gaps between the doors as well with a gasket of foam or rubber.

  • @cubsin4 It's true that the window is a direct reflective surface but because you never record directly at a flat surface (always at an angle), plus the acoustic foam that covers every other surface, there's never a problem.

I'm trackin' with you on the gaps. My plan already included options for sealing those.

  • @cubsin4 Its not that serious to seal the gaps. Its not ment to be sound proofed.

  • I love this video! Excellent Job!

  • marry me! is hard to find woman that loves to work in a studio in Florida lol

  • epic booth! I love the concept because it's non destructive! Thanks for sharing this one. I'm planning on doing something similar!

  • i like your studio the little window looks cool !! :D

  • this is awesome

  • i was gna use curtains on a curtain rail attatched to the ceiling for my booth, but this is a much better idea, love the fact that u can move the walls to change the dimensions of the booth, ill copying ur idea :D

  • MUST BE HOT UP IN THERE.. ALSO THE MIC IS TO CLOSE TO THE WINDOW..IF YOU HAD THE WINDOW IN A SLANT OR AN ANGLE IT WILL BE ALRIGHT.... BUT OVER ALL GREAT IDEA.. WHAT PROGRAM ARE YOU USING TO RECORD

  • @fredddielopez I use ProTools. I'm a long time recording voice talent and professional singer so I always record at an angle. I guess I should've mentioned that for those who don't know - thanks for doing that. :)

  • Your booth is aight... But I think you don't wanna put the mic in front of the window. I mean, you shouldn't, because of reflections

  • @ShahBeatzOfficial Yup - I should've mentioned that I always record at an angle, aiming the sound at the acoustic foam and the edge of the mic.

  • very nice. i poured through dozens of these "how to" videos and yours definitely exceeds them all in professionalism, presentation and practicality. lots of 'p' words. thank you!

  • where does the HOW TO PART start!!!!!

  • @budkill09 I had so many questions that I put a detail how to e-book together for this. You'll find it on The Voice Club dot com slash products

  • This is pretty cool me and my dad were gunna build one with dry wall

And everything but this seems way easier and cheaper

    Thx

  • @luckylexmusic I've done that too - and this IS easier. :) Always good to have one of these even if you have a studio - it works great to isolate a second voice or instrument if you want to record more than one person at a time. Plans at the voice club dot com slash products

  • how does it not fall over?

  • @TMStopmotion As long as the walls are not lined up it supports itself, much like a box.

  • Nice! I need to make something like this...

  • I want to marry you! LOL

  • @mjweezy32 : just go to lowes and ask for hollow doors their like $20

  • What are they foam core doors? does that even exist?

  • @mjweezy32 She mean't hollow core doors I believe. God Bless

  • @mjweezy32 hollow core

  • this is the coolest idea i have seen!!

  • What doors are they? wanna get them (:

  • Please post intructions. This is all I need.

  • Brilliant! Thanks so much! :-D

  • thanks a lot!

  • what doors did you say they were??

  • @jo3rock3r I believe she said "foam core doors." Some interior (inside) doors are hollow. You don't want hollow doors for your soundbooth. You want doors with a foam core.

  • Wow! You are very talented and creative. That is a wonderful idea, thanks for sharing. I'm building a home studio now and will be hitting the local surplus outlet and get the doors... maybe even the foam... May the Lord bless you

  • i wish i would have found this before i clean out my closet

  • hat kind of doors are those

  • Aye, sexy studio, just cant seem to find the foam boards anywhere. errr!!!

I checked Lowe's, Home depot, and a couple other sites on google but no luck : (

    Any help plz? Anyone?

i really would luv to get started on building my own booth.

  • Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

  • Damn you are crafty

  • would u not rather a portable vocal booth because its cheaper...

  • nice, like black huh well im caramel like that too...

  • How much were the doors, and does this help reduce outside noise? thank for posting this is very nice!!!
