just in case anyone is thinking about getting an RFB and is worried about mag reliability, get the new metric polymer mags from Thermold! Took it out this week and put 400 through my RFB no problem. Only wish they made 30 rounders (hopefully Thermold is reading this)

I think it is safe to assume that when you referenced the two scopes above, you were NOT talking about a 6x fixed magnification scope with 24mm diameter objective, nor a 2x fixed magnification scope with 7mm diameter objective.

When referencing scope magnification, you SHOULD be saying: 6-24x (six-to-twenty-four times magnification, with no specification on objective lens size) and 2-7x (two-to-seven times magnification, with no specification on objective lens size).

I just did some research. So its like .223 vs 5.56mm in that aspect. Is either of them better than the other performance wise? I would love to buy an RFB, another great innovative weapon from keltec. But, I live in one of the states that are controlled by anti gun socialists.

I wonder if kel tec will ever make a AWB compliant version by simply changing the flash hider to a non removable muzzle brake ? Thats all that would be required. or no FH/MB.

Also, the PMR 30 would be top on my pistol list, except for the 30 rd mag.

That Kel-Tec RFB is a pleasant surprise! Never heard of it. The Aug is my fav. AR so I like the RFB idea. A big heck yah to the Scar 17S WITH HEAVY BARREL. I like my barrels heavy. I also like SCARs but not the price! M1A's ar good but heavy! Which would I buy? The series is not finished yet. Who knows how reliable the RFB is? On to part 2!

This may have been covered already and as you know it is hard to go through so many comments, but it would be interesting to see if the RFB could have been designed to use M1A or M14 mags. Easier said than done as the cost to retool in production is huge and then you have 2 versions of the RFB. In this country I think the M1A mags are more readily available and you have some good aftermarket manufacturers like MAGPUL making some as well.

@akavich, pick up an RFB and toy will not come to mind, it is compareable to a RRA or mid size Armalite Ar-10.......in weight only. Like I said before, if you set it up with reasonable and traditional modifications, it will out perform anything on the market. Cheek rest is a must on this rifle just in having a good reference for cheek weld. If you want to make the longer shots, you NEED high magnification. There are alot of good compensators out there,I like suppressors. A good bipod is a must!

Kel-Tec puts out interesting and unique weapons, and they do generally have light weight compared to many of their competitors, but their build quality honestly feels like a toy. You don't get that confidence in your firearm when it shakes around and makes noises like a toy from a Happy Meal.

Plus, all those malfunctions in the PMR-30. It's an interesting design, but it seems too.... iffy.

The KSG is cool, but I'd be worried about sticking my hand in front of the barrel accidentally.

I have a home made high cheek rest on my RFB, a bipod, HIGH magnification scope and a suppressor. I could not pull off a good score with the set up Chad brought out. You can not get a consistent cheek weld on the factory stock. The RFB is as accurate as my Armalite SASS and the fastest 308 semi that I have ever seen. ONLY if it is set up properly! I am on the KTOG forum and have the thread "jud cargile first KTOG RFB" I get sub MOA with 168 match Priv and OLDER 168 GMM.
