What people like about meat, is not the meat itself: They like the fried bits, the spiced bits and all that. If you fry TOFU (made of soy), it tastes the same, and the spices we use actually ALL come from plants. NOBODY would like meat, if they ate it raw.

It's great to see people watching this. I personally live on an 80% raw vegan diet but it is NOT for everyone. I don't propose that everyone go vegan or vegetarian, but just to try and source where their meat comes from. The places depicted in this video have sub-standard hygiene so if you don't care about the animals think about what you put in YOUR body.
The meat industry is not perfect but I'm hoping to get people to want to change the meat and dairy industries and focus on free-range organic farming that supports smaller farmers. It is unrealistic to expect to abolish these industries but the reality is that something needs to change as it is not only animals that are negatively impacted, I suggest having a read of 'fast food nation' ( not the movie).

Becoming a vegetarian is not the answer, the way they treat the animals is wrong, and should be stopped, but not by discontinuing meat production. Humans are not meant to only eat vegetables, it's part of the food chain and not even we can change that; however, what we can change is the way we obtain our meat, instead of using guilt to force us to do unnatural things, make a difference, gather a bunch of people and petition the government to make it illegal to sell meat from diseased animals,

Actually, it might interest you to know that the only laws regarding the humane treatmnet of animals speciffically target domesticated pets such as cats and dogs. Most of the meat industry is based on regulations or guidelines - factory farming is still permitted in Australia although we do have a higher instance of organic and free-range farming.

Animal products are a fact of life. That doesn't mean that any living being should be tortured like that or that it's okay, but it doesn't mean that people who eat meat and drink milk are cold, heartless scumbags, either.
As for the "do it for your health" bit, that's stupid. I'm no steak-chowing meat freak, but come on. Humans by nature are omnivores and staying healthy on a vegan diet isn't as easy as they make it sound.
By setting an example of not eating meat, I and other vegetarians can hope that others will be encouraged to give up meat. If no one eats it then there is no need to kill animals. If people wonder what good it does, think of this comparison - even though you can't save all the starving children in Africa, it doesn't stop people trying to make a difference by saving one.

People will NEVER give up eating meat. Beef is the single best source of protein avaliable and people need protein for health reasons. Death, and cruelty, are terrible in all of their forms.
But this video is not really about that, even if it shows it for shock value, it's propaganda trying to sell a view point.
What is really shows, even though it's not about it either, is human carelessness and stupidity.
You will find that in all of our walks of life though, politics and wanton destruction of the ocean not being the least of the examples I could give.

@TheKeeperOfTeh7Keys... yeah this may not be how all meat manufacturers are but this is still happening somewhere. and its not going to stop. it shouldn't be happening anywhere at all. there has to be a better way to get meat.

There should be laws if people want to eat meat! These should include:
No unfair treatment and no packing them in to cramped spaces! The animals that are gonna be used must either be dead or have to be put out of their misery due to sickness or injury etc. And those factories have to be eco-friendly and inspected by a vegan/vegetarian etc. every year.

come on this isn't how all meat is prepared this is a small fraction of what goes on.. humans need meat to live.. you look a vegans strict vegans they are all pale skinny and have dark circles around their eyes.. not all of them but alot of them that i have seen they all looked really malnuritished

Animal products are a fact of life. That doesn't mean that any living being should be tortured like that or that it's okay, but it doesn't mean that people who eat meat and drink milk are cold, heartless scumbags, either.
As for the "do it for your health" bit, that's stupid. I'm no steak-chowing meat freak, but come on. Humans by nature are omnivores and staying healthy on a vegan diet isn't as easy as they make it sound.

By setting an example of not eating meat, I and other vegetarians can hope that others will be encouraged to give up meat. If no one eats it then there is no need to kill animals. If people wonder what good it does, think of this comparison - even though you can't save all the starving children in Africa, it doesn't stop people trying to make a difference by saving one.

People will NEVER give up eating meat. Beef is the single best source of protein avaliable and people need protein for health reasons. Don't give me that crap about protein being in plants either, as they're incomplete proteins and don't do as much good as whole proteins. Those are only found in animals like pig and chicken and cow.
A better thing to say would be "Eat meat, but don't support companies that use inhumane processes."
