I've been there! Back probably about 8 or so years ago when I was a child - a cool place...

By the way, how do you like the camera? I'm looking to buy a decently creative compact. I'm mostly considering more creative superzoom cameras, like the Sony DSC-H20, and ones like it, but the 24mm wide-angle and creativity catches my eye as well as the HD movie mode. Do you find the small telephoto to be very limiting?

The LX3 is unique in two ways. The larger sensor for a compact point and shoot allows for cleaner low light images than your average camera in its class. The 24mm wide angle lens is fast and allows for clean wide point of view ideal for low light. I don't find the lack of zoom range limitning considering the trade offs.

The HD (1280x720) is nice to have in this compact package.

Downside is that it is priced at entry level DSLR prices.

Too bad Panasonic doesn't make an affordable underwater housing for the LX3... I'd love to try it out while diving!
