You also have to figure that amount of foreign born players in the league. Latin America, Central America and the Islands, Japan, Taiwan, Canadians, etc. The league did have to Canadian teams as well, but the team in Montreal folded, still have Toronto though....

To be honest, it never really bothered me, and I have other things to concern myself with. ;) Plus, my favorite sport is hockey, and the NHL champion is the "Stanley Cup Champion." As far as the Japanese teams, Japan did win the World Baseball Classic when it was all Japanese players, but it's sort of the equivalent of the World Cup teams, the nations best players on the team. I'd guess the MLB rosters will beat a pro Japanese team.
