i have a 06 pontiac montana nd it has awd versatrac that makes it extremeley great in snow but wud it get stuck in snow this deep it turn int o an 8 cylinder wen this happens
im also sean222007 and my impreza has been through snow like that and has not gotten stuck yet. "knock on wood" i love it. ive been told by my cousins that it is a tank and that that little thing can drive through anything. which is true to a point. iv had snow up to my windows and kept driving just so it would make the shoveling a little easier. so we only had to shovel a foot of snow not 4 feet of it.
I have a Forester S Turbo in Scotland. It's got me out of many a sticky situation. You just cant beat Subaru for an all weather work horse. Grip, speed and rugged style. I love 'em! "It's all we'll drive" (All Wheel Drive):-)
none of them have tc and the 99 is the same as the rest just a single cam motor.....a subarus awsome awd comes from vicous couplers in the differentials ( 4 way posi ) pardon my spelling
I live in MN and have only ever had FWD. Sometimes things get difficult and I can't get to my house at the top of a hill, but thats no big deal. I think every guy wants an Impreza at some point...
Its not really about driving, what the video does not show is behind the camera person there was a garage with a subaru Justy parked. I had to flatten the snow for the little subie to reverse out
It's solid engineering. The driver, like so many misguided others, thinks you can "power through" deep snow when you start to get bogged down. Not true. You can see him overrev when he should have immediately reversed.

Hi! great video! we have a forester too. the best cars on snow!! subaru has the best 4x4 system in the world!

What kind of a tyre set is the driver using?
Winter tyres? Snow tyres with stud? All season tyres ?
Subaru is a very capable car but in these conditions tyres are important as well..

subaru's are the best for snow driving...a forester with a set of nokian hakapalita's is more potent than a toyota....trust me...i own both
subarumonkey 4 years ago
nokian tires sux continental contiwiking contact 8 is the best one for snow (w/o studs)

The driving leaves much to be desired.

I love the way you tease us into thinking it's all gone wrong... Especially the despairing "Oooh" of the camerawoman.
So do we applaud the driver's l337 skillz or is it all down to solid engineering???
