It's more realistic, runs well, the fact that u can jump to places on the map is good cause If u do wanna explore the city then u can, but if u dont like to explore the city, well then u can jump to places!!! I loved Skate. Skate 2 is actually very frustrating and I felt character customization was terrible. It is an alright game, but the first Skate is the best, regardless of the lack of tricks.

@anguskahn22 I started playing skate 2 and that may very well be the most fun I have had playing any video game by myself. Personally I kind of hated skate 3 because of it´s boring story and stale feeling to it. Skate 2 is an AWESOME game and if you have friends to play it with (online or offline) I would say just get it! you wont regret it. The feeling when you start to get the hang of what you are doing in the game and when you startlanding the big jumps is incredible :)

@12tippettm for just playing casually, skate 2 is sooooo much better! the world is much better and there is more reasons to kind of scout the city since you can find hidden pools and such. Plus you can play offline 2 player which is awesome if you have a friend over :)

Skate 3 is not as great as skate 2. i dont like how online games always crashes on me when i wanna play online. in skate 2 i find it easier to use and more interesting. you can play online in skate 2 for HOURS and never get bored!!!!

Skate 2: I like the city a bit better I like the online challenges A LOT. I spent DAYS palying them w/ my friend

SKATE 3: More tricks More options (Easy mode, balance bar) -> More accesable for skate newbies If you like building your own parks (like me, I like taking the best obstacle from street league and making one epic park) I think there are more clothes/appearance options

I vote skate 3. decide 4 yourself

My favorite game was Thrasher: Skate & Destroy for PS1. I love the realism aspect, being a skateboarder myself. Tony Hawk was fun, but it was very unreal.
