Tribute montages dubbed with music are always absolutely Über gay, but since the character in question is totally, completely superior to any other since the begging of time, I still liked this! ;)
He also had a generous and altruistic secret side that made him a very well built character, like when he gave up his christmas to save a dying girl or when he spoke in sign language to peter benton's son. Also, when lucy died he totally freaked out. So I guess his pricky behaviour was mainly a mask. Paul McCrane is a very talented actor.
I agree. He could be generous and slturistic at times. Also, like the time the mass murderer shot up a Foster Home, injurings several children and workers, because he wanted his son back. The hospital social worker (Erica Gimble) was hit. When Romano learned of this he dropped everything to help attend her. And we she asked if she would be paralysed he answered "not if I can help it". Though she wound up in a wheelchair, afterall, he still showed much concern for her injuries.
i loved the older cast and about half where killed off i stopped watching. i did like the finale though. go on hulu search ER and watch the one called "And in the End". good way 2 end it
His character was great.....brilliant actor and straight to the point!!!! Why do they kill all the good ones.....Pratt, Romano, Greene!!! Bye Bye E.R!
I hated what they did to this character. He was a great character and they killed it by having his arm cut off and then the way he died was so fucking ridiculous. It's funny I hadn't really been following the show at all for awhile and I watched an episode and it was this episode and it totally turned me off to any new episodes. I did start watching recent seasons though about when Tony Gates is a medic and that season and the season after were pretty decent.
rest in peace ? UHM i watch ER on dvd and just watched he losed his arm in serie 9 ( whatching now 10 ) but what happend with him after all happend in serie 9 ?
Good job! In the first seasons I hated Rocket, but... I learned another side of him - the soft side! I love the scene where he "talked" with Reese, the son of Peter Benton. I miss you, Robert!
He lost his arm when he backed into the tail rotor blades of a helicopter that was evacuating a patient.
However, Romano found that the reattached arm was lacking in both its motor and its sensory capacities.
He died when a helicopter fell off the roof of the hospital and crashed on top of him, a widely-derided denouement intended to be ironic as the character had developed a phobia toward helicopters.
Although he was an ass alot; He had a funny way of making jokes, and he did had his sweet moment. I will definitley miss him =')

Thank you, I love so much his character too and I think the same about the way he died.
I didn't watch ER since the end of the season in which Romano'd been cut off from the cast and, well, I'm not interested in the show no more.

He was the best character because Paul McCrane played the role so accurately (which many real doctors praised).
