  • Those briskets look good. Lucky for me the meat I have roasting while watching the video is starting to smell good, so I can pretend it's those briskets. Thanks for the videos they are the perfect companions to the survivalist boards.

  • those briskets look amazing. when you first opening up the lid I started salivating. what a gorgeous golden color.

  • what exactly is a brisket.

  • @joshua28320 It's the meat taken from the upper chest portion of a cow.

  • Good video. Thank you.

  • what size tank did you use to make this smoker? im planning on making one from a 120 gallon propane tank. also, is there a rule of thumb for firebox to smoker size ratio? im thinking of making an 18x18x18 inch firebox.

    looks tasty.

  • @TheBigBadWoIf - 150 gallon for the upright smoker, the main tank is a 250 gallon.

  • Made me hungry.

  • i use a 5 gallon bucket to soak my large meat in when in marinate

  • Oh no.. this guy is not serious about grilling at all. : )

  • Looks tasty.

  • Wood kind of wood did you use?

  • I don't even eat meat and yet that was an entertaining video. Good stuff.

  • Oh man that looks good Kev! I need to go get a brisket and get to cookin'. (Or maybe some chicken quarters.) Decisions, decisions. Yum!

Good call on the grain, Dwind! ;)

  • Got a question that has nothing really to do with the topic, although I do loooove some brisket. anyway what pocket knife is that you have at 1:49 ? looks like a nice lock back design, I have been looking for one

  • making me hungry

  • Hey man, you make awesome videos! Keep them up!

  • Ah man, I would hate to have to eat all that meat in one seating but sometimes a man's got to do what a man's got to do.

  • PUT OUT A PLATE OF SMASHED PATATERS AND THEN YOU BETTER STAND BACK...WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO! looks gooooooooood!

  • Every time i've grilled brisket, big grease fire & chewy like rubber tire. I'll try the foil trick next time. The grease fire burned a hole through the bottom of my Char-Broil.

  • That looks absolutely delicious. Whatever I'm having for supper just went down about 2 notches. :0)

  • That meat looks heavenly. Have you ever tried injecting marinade into it? Or letting the meat marinate over night?

  • how long did it take you o make the smoker and how much $ in Materials

  • @grizzdipper66 - about $400 - $500 in materials, and I worked on and off on the pit for over a year. I could probably build a pit like that in a weekend, or maybe 3 days. But that would be working on the pit for 8 - 10 hours a day.

  • @survivalistboards my neighbor has a nive pit similar to yours, it doesnt have the pieces in the back or front he used an old water heater. he spent a little over 100$ and spent 3-4 weeks with friends doing it. he said he would use his small propane tank to make me one its about a foot tall three feet long and a foot thick.

  • always enjoy your cooking/food videos

  • It's so dark

  • Yea, I don't like cutting the briskets in half either. Try using Reynolds Oven Bags, they are meant for turkeys but will easily fit a whole brisket. I love the Goya Mojo, it's great on chicken, never thought to use it as a mop for brisket. I'll have to give it a try.

  • That is a beautiful grill.

  • @jackclark1981 Thats a smoker my brother.
