To remove peoples freedoms and free trade is foolish, and will always results in the downfall of the government, this is the biggest mistake of communism and socialism, however, the government must intervene to help poor people from corporate greed. Capitalism takes little to no step in helping the poor. Yes, people need to work hard and earn money, but some people just need help.

@lusepuster Greed is an integral part of human nature, no matter what the economic system may be, there's always going to be somebody who wants more than their fair share of the pie and will figure out some way to take it. At least under "old style" American capitalism (until it all went off the rails thanks to Reaganomics), any given citizen had the chance to "strike it rich" if he had the balls to reach out and grab it.
Nothing can be "perfect" in this world and that includes even ideas such as capitalism and communism. Now, to choose the lesser of evils is the only way to pick your goverment. Our founding fathers wanted anarchy with peace and stabilty. They wanted a bare minimum goverment that simply protected and united the people. We have gotten so far away from that of which our great country once was. It is not perfect and will never be but we can try to pick what is the best we have at hand.
capitalism gets by.. i wouldn't say it doesn't work. we have a privileged class of people living in western/northern countries who feed off the resources of the south and 3rd world.

The USSR etc was proof that capitalism does not work, these nations were state capitalist, the state being the corporation. basically proper communism is a better version of democracy because we wouldn't have rulers, we would have workers councils etc that could be recalled and chosen directly by the people, there would be more democracy and outside workers councils people would run things themselves. I don't just see it as a dream, I think people are capable of running things themselves and there are many companies I can think of where the workers would run things better than the bossses eg. royal mail.

I'm not pro-Communism, but I must say Stalin isn't a good example. He followed Marixist-Leninism, which is more of a dictatorship than a commune. And most forms of socialism are very similar to the U.S. with elected officials, just big business is regulated so as not to exploit workers. Monopoly busting, minimum wage, child labor laws, etc. are all socialist ideas.

Russia today is far closer to capitalism than the USA is. If the government doesn't have high taxes, it can't have vast control over your personal life and affairs. The more of your money has to be filtered through the government in the form of socialist programs, the more power the government has over your life. To remove peoples freedoms and free trade is foolish, and will always results in the downfall of the government, this is the biggest mistake of communism and socialism, however, the government must intervene to help poor people from corporate greed. Capitalism takes little to no step in helping the poor. Yes, people need to work hard and earn money, but some people just need help.

Nothing can be "perfect" in this world and that includes even ideas such as capitalism and communism. Now, to choose the lesser of evils is the only way to pick your goverment. Our founding fathers wanted anarchy with peace and stabilty. They wanted a bare minimum goverment that simply protected and united the people. We have gotten so far away from that of which our great country once was. It is not perfect and will never be but we can try to pick what is the best we have at hand.

This example of government is best exemplified by countries like Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, new Zealand, Switzerland, etc, etc. These are all very stable countries. basically proper communism is a better version of democracy because we wouldn't have rulers, we would have workers councils etc that could be recalled and chosen directly by the people, there would be more democracy and outside workers councils people would run things themselves. I don't just see it as a dream, I think people are capable of running things themselves and there are many companies I can think of where the workers would run things better than the bossses eg. royal mail.

The only thing close to a direct democracy was ancient rome, not sure if mob rule is always a good idea. but even then it was still ceasar who controlled the military. I think a Constitutional Republic is the best. A limited government, limited by the very founding documents, elected, and with checks and balances between the different government branches, and rights not garaunteed by the government, but by your very existance. I'm not pro-Communism, but I must say Stalin isn't a good example. He followed Marixist-Leninism, which is more of a dictatorship than a commune. And most forms of socialism are very similar to the U.S. with elected officials, just big business is regulated so as not to exploit workers. Monopoly busting, minimum wage, child labor laws, etc. are all socialist ideas.

They should have added usa on the list. During Russian occupation of Afghanistan 1 000 000 Afghanese died. Almost same amount died in Iraq in just 5 years (but civilians), 3 000 000 in VietNam (still mostly civilians), in Korea usa killed upto 1.5 mill people (about half of them civilians) in just 3 years. usa should definetelly make it to the clip above.

Perhaps. Although i think there is a difference between civilians killed in a warzone, and civilians killed by being rounded up and executed. The USA is headed in that direction of nazi germany, communist asia, and communist russia. We keep taking steps farther and farther towards socialism and dependency on government. But people don't realize, the more you depend on government, the more they can control your life.

i believe that the government shouldn't be telling people what they can eat, drink, what drugs they can use, what they can say on the radio or television or in books. And i believe little steps is how it starts. I think people who call socialism "progressive" don't realize the irony, that the progress is being made towards fascist/socialism, not towards the imaginary utopia they envision.

I guess. I always said that socialism is just as bad as democracy. You described socialsm preety well. The broblem with democracy is that it is designed to weaken the country that is following it. What if your body has 2 big heads and 10 smaller ones. 1 head sais "lets go right" 2 head would almost always say let's go left, and the rest of the bunch are just trying to pull the body from one direction to another. How fast can you move towards the progress this way?

The perfect way, I belive, is found by Putin. Not ruthless dictatorship, not democracy. Strong wholesome goverment that can make the desisions fast and accuratelly. Russia is now a lot better place then it used to be under "true" democracy, don't you think?

Russia today is far closer to capitalism than the USA is. If the government doesn't have high taxes, it can't have vast control over your personal life and affairs. The more of your money has to be filtered through the government in the form of socialist programs, the more power the government has over your life. Although, i know little else about Russia today other than it's low tax rate.
Government cannot push people into any state of being. Only offer the opportunity.

i would say that the U.S. government is quickly becoming one of the biggest proponents of socialist mentality. the balance is forever tilting towards the socialist end of things. Emphasis on the word "end". We're soon going to cross the point of no return. I forsee some bad times ahead, not just for Americans but for the world in general. America may be the last stronghold of liberty in the world, and it's faltering fast.

it's on the phase II cd, but I think that is the version you have that someone had changed the velocity 'cause is the same but slower, the sound is the same sound. This slow version i so boring, but the faster version is very interesting!!!
