In 1983, when NBC debuted $ale of the Century, believe it or not, WABC Channel 7 here in NYC aired Jim Perry's Card Sharks at 10:30am, the same time slot as $OTC on WNBC Channel 4 and I do believe they were airing the same early episodes seen on GSN right now. I do not know why GSN stopped airing the episodes after that!
@PedroGMan CBN seemed to be stuck on the 1981-82 season, then the next year, they added the 82-83 episodes to the rotation, and it stayed that way until TTD was pulled in fall 1985.
Jay had announced on three of the four game shows in this promo. Looks like they were showing the 70s syndicated LMAD package back in 1983(airing it again in the 90s when CBN was known as Family CHannel)

Tic Tac Dough was still in syndication back in 1983. So maybe CBN was airing the early seasons, including Thom McKee's run.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 1983 CBN reruns of LMAD were what prompted Monty to bring the show back the next year.
