I'm really confused, Some says i can run this at max, and someone says i can run this at low-medium, Hers my specs:

OS = Windows Vista Home Premium

Video Card = NVIDIA GeForce 8600m gs 256mb

Processor(CPU) = Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo 1,8ghz

RAM = 3 Gb

Im abel to play Crysis at all very high exept for the Shaders And shdows :-(

You will be able to run at medium/high.

i doubt those settings are on high. first of all there is no reflection on the scope. second there is no shadow. sorry dude, u cant fool me

My CoD4 settings on my laptop were exactly those I posted in the vid info. If you watch my other vid you'll see shadows. You're right about the scope thing though, dunno if that has anything to do with dynamic lights being on normal?

its the specular mapping. u can only turn it on if u have a newer graphics card. older cards cant run it, so theres no point to have it on. theres a big difference

I got an 8600gts xxx ed. on an Athlon 4200+ x2 oc'ed to 3ghz. It plays crysis very well on medium. I'd say the gt should be able to play it bearably on medium.

in MP mode FPS games always load up smaller maps than in SP modes. So usualy the performance is better in MP than SP (free VRAM helps). So opposite to the stupid comments, he'd probably get smoother playing in MP mode.

Anyways, you can just DL the newest ATITool and apply my clocks speeds. Beware though, the computer get's REALLY hot, so you shouldn't play games for more than an hour at a time, before you give the computer a good 5 - 10 minutes to cool off.

2) Gameplay in SP is of course the same in every CoD 4 game, why are you even mentioning it?

I don't know, try downloading the demo. Keep in mind that I've overclocked the 8600, so you won't run it as smooth as in the vids I've posted. It's easy to OC though, if any one of you want to know how to OC or what my clock speeds are, just PM me ;)

Well I've had mine for 4 months now and I've been using it a lot.. No problems with it so far. One isolated incident doesn't mean that there's a problem with the Acer laptops, she was probably just unlucky..and since it stopped working after just a month I doubt it would be any problem for her to get it replaced or repaired cos she still has a warranty. No worries, I didn't take that as an insult :P
