1. u need a pvr XBMC build with integrated liveTV... not the standard team xbmc xbmc.

2. simply enable TV in Settings -> LiveTV then it shows up in menu.

In meinem Case ist ein Imon Empfänger(OrigenAe M10) , such einfach mal Antec Versis Basic, gibts für ~20€ bei Amazon. Kann auch PCs problemlos einschalten. Ne kleine Fernbedienung ist auch dabei.

Das läuft soweit eigentlich gut unter Linux in Verbindung mit ner Harmony.

ich bin beeindruckt - wirklich :). Ich denke mal ich werd mich die Tage auch mal an so etwas probieren. Ich habe jedoch eine Frage. Ich habe ein kleine Regal gefüllt mit Blu-Rays und HD-DVDs. Von denen hab ich bisher immer ein Image erstellt und bei mir zuhause auf den Server gelegt, damit auch mein Bruder (kein passendes Laufwerk) die filme schauen kann. I'st es möglich diese Images auch anzuschauen, bzw. zu mounten - und dann gleich play drücken ^^

eine frage, habe schon XBMC auf meinem Ubuntu 10.04 laptop installiert, und TVheadend, und im webinterface alles konfiguriert, aber wie kann ich nun frontend (XBMC) und Backend (TVHeadend) miteinander verbinden? will endlich wieder liveTV auf meinem laptop...

dinde aber das plugin nicht.,..

xbmc can do this using the scarpers which works fine, but i'll recommend Ember Media Manager for this job. Works perfect together with XBMC. Google for.

thx, the coloring and the smoothness is much better in reality =/

First i configured it much faster and more detailed but it seemed to be too hectic because the Ambilight was more interesting than the TV picture itself xD ... i slowed it down a little, added more saturation and played with the blacklevel threshold. totally configurable in the boblight software under linux. when i'm sitting in the cine right now or in front of other TVs i really miss it because u will get damn used!

Damn, that's really impressive! I can imagine the shades of color is even better in reality and that ambilight completely steals the interest so you forget what happen in the TV :D..

ja. Timeshift funzt mit dem Standardskin iwi nicht aber mit dem den ich da benutze (Neon) geht es, beim standard ist irgendwie der Pause Knopf bei LiveTV gelockt.

Gut, man muss sagen, dass TV praktisch nich beta ist, ich kann problemlos damit fix und schnell tv schauen, nutz das Teil aber weniger für TV als für Movies. TV is also mehr ein Gimmik für mich. Zum Aufnehmen ist ein richtiger Kathrein UFS noch besser.

Ich würde gerne das System nachbauen nur mit dem Unterschied, dass ich 2 Kanäle von der Schüssel auf den HTPC reinbringen möchte (alles anschauen+ aufnehmen). Mit einen Kanal ist man ja auf die Frequenz beschränkt. Meinst du das ist möglich?

Es geht mit TwinTunern ja, allerdings sehe ich Tv wie oben im Kommentar gesagt mehr als Gimmik an. Einen guten UFS ersetzt es (noch) nicht. Auch wäre ich bei der TV Karten Wahl vorsichtig und würde mich etwas schlau machen ob sie gut mit VDR läuft.

16 GB is mehr als genug. Die ganzen Ubuntu Version schenken sich da kaum was. XBMC mit allem dürfte kaum mehr als 1 -1,5 GB haben nach der Install.

geiles equipment, wie bekommt man die film cover alle so hin?? Sind die extra geladen oder haste alle movies gerippt ??

Entweder bei XBMC Quellen mittels Scarper laden lassen, also die Zusatzinfos ink Cover, oder wie ich es mache, mit dem Ember Media Manager die Infos im jeweiligen Filmordner ablegen. XBMC liest das dann aus.
