In early October I got news that my grandfather had cancer for the third time, there was no other explanation for the spot the doctors saw on the x-ray. He said he wasn't going to do treatment this time, he'd just let it kill him. We started praying for him and a week later they said it wasn't cancer, just pneumonia. But my grandfather was an atheist and didn't believe in the prayers. Recently he thanked me for them, said without the prayers he'd be dead. That only God could have done that.

I'm not one to bash anyone's personal beliefs but I will say that I always find it kind of crazy that so many are willing to believe that everything is just a random happening and so many events took place that are supposidly so unlikely to ever happen in a continuing order that our entire purpose and existence is just an accident. According to the dimensions of the ark it would have been way, way too small to hold 2 of each species, Estimates range from 24 -100 species go extinct every day. So when you so-called Noah's ark set sail, there were many, many more species on the planet then than there are now, No way could the ark back then or even now hold that many species. Impossible.

I love this song, and cry every time it gets to the part about the heartbeat on the ultrasound. Six and a half years ago I had a miscarriage. We never could see a heartbeat. When I was pregnant with my daughter we saw the heartbeat and cried. We knew this was our child. How much more proof do people need to know there is a God? His fingerprints are everywhere if we only take the time to look.

I don't see why if one doesn't believe in god they feel the need to shoot those who do down. When you believe in God you believe that you're soul can be saved, and that's a great feeling. We chose to disobey, and the world we now live in is a consequence of that decision. In His grace He still protects us from a lot of things, but there is a price to pay for our disobedience; that's why He sent Jesus. Jesus isn't about fixing the world, He's about fixing us. He's about restoring our relationship with our creator.

Praying to end hunger, suffering, and crimes is great, but none of it will every truly be fixed until Christ comes back in the end. This world is broken, and it always will be; that's why we see God destroys this world and creates a new heaven and new earth in Revelations. His desire is for suffering to be gone, but as long as sin exists, so will suffering.

Well anyways rather than praying, I think I want to make actions that will help all humanity reach peace. What's scares me that people think prayers actually works. When action is what will lead to a better life. Pray for cancer or become a medical researcher and find a cure :) That's the different between praying, and doing something.

@DoNotLaughAtMe I would definitely agree. Prayer is more about bringing us closer to God, and having us see the world from His perspective than anything else. He's all-knowing, so I don't see how prayer would influence Him to change His plan... Nothing gets me more mad tho than the parents who have kids with diabetes, and instead of getting treatment just pray for them...then the kid ends up dying and they blame God.

At least science has evidence. Looking around doesn't necessarily prove there's a god, it just shows there are beautiful things to see around us. We should admire what we know and not try to answer questions we aren't smart enough to answer. Guessing won't get you the right answer, and even if it does, you will have no way of knowing if you are right.

In early October I got news that my grandfather had cancer for the third time, there was no other explanation for the spot the doctors saw on the x-ray. He said he wasn't going to do treatment this time, he'd just let it kill him. We started praying for him and a week later they said it wasn't cancer, just pneumonia. But my grandfather was an atheist and didn't believe in the prayers. Recently he thanked me for them, said without the prayers he'd be dead. That only God could have done that.

I'm not one to bash anyone's personal beliefs but I will say that I always find it kind of crazy that so many are willing to believe that everything is just a random happening and so many events took place that are supposidly so unlikely to ever happen in a continuing order that our entire purpose and existence is just an accident. According to the dimensions of the ark it would have been way, way too small to hold 2 of each species, Estimates range from 24 -100 species go extinct every day. it is ok to have these questions. I am sure when you get to heaven there will be time to ask the Father. Why God created this , who knows for sure. Any answer would be speculation. It dosen'r t really matter anyway. It sounds as though you know Jesus Christ. Really, it was easier for those in Jesus time to be saved because they saw him, but even Thomas douted for a moment. The world is so messed up because God has given us free will. The ability to choose. He wants us to choose him. Instead so many have chose not to accept his love, his grace or to be followers of Christ. We have chosen the way of man who is imperfect. We have chose not to love one another. To care only about ourselves and not others. It goes all the way back to Adam and Eve when they made the choice to rebel against God. That failure sealed our fate. Jesus is now the only way!

@telfordumc I was raised Christian seemed like the only type of religion that made sence when it comes to the after life, but as for the jews back in BC before they crusified him they wanted to see it intead of believe it. Im the same way...so I dont mean to question his creation(us,the world) but if a loving God is so pure down to earth all the fruits of the Spirit(love,Joy,peace,patience......exc)..........

and he knew what tomarrow bring,a decade,century, thousands of years would bring why create adam and eve when he already knew they were gonna sin and start up a whole world of hurt wich their will be lost souls pain,sin,lust,exc which what most souls are battleing today. Why create that? why not leave it just heaven and his angels why create and go through watching people make the wrong desicions & so blind that those people may never know him and end up burning for eternity???

@telfordumcI studied the Revelations and psalms frequently every year.Im interested in those books cause I see it alot happeing on TV.I see the sighns of what he predictes of what will happen. But thats not going to get me to heaven.So when i think about my soul&if its saved I think about how kind he is but if he can see the future why create something to where he knows humans are week and easily decieved with out his strenght?Majority of the souls on earth will go to hell&rest will go with God.

@telfordumc Its a spiritual battle between good and evil and were living I think the hardest the world has yet seen. The next 40 to come will be much worst than it is now. I do believe Gods real I just ..............I dont know Im lost. I do attend church my mom I just try not to question Gods creation but at times Itll pop in my head. I doubt if im the only one who has ever been curious about his reason for creating adam and eve...starting up humanism.

There never was one. You and I know how bad some people want to believe, otherwise their lives would become empty and meaningless. the fear of death for example is probably the most famous reason for believeing in an afterlife that is created and controled bya powerfull being. a void instead is frightening of cource. you could say even life itself is reason enough to believe in something more powerfull than yourself. some folks just can't help them selves...

I love this song, and cry every time it gets to the part about the heartbeat on the ultrasound. Six and a half years ago I had a miscarriage. We never could see a heartbeat. When I was pregnant with my daughter we saw the heartbeat and cried. We knew this was our child. How much more proof do people need to know there is a God? His fingerprints are everywhere if we only take the time to look.

I don't see why if one doesn't believe in god they feel the need to shoot those who do down. When you believe in God you believe that you're soul can be saved, and that's a great feeling. Why try and take that feeling away from someone? When you try and convince someone there is a God your worried about their soul, what are you worried about nonbelievers?

you know this is a very powerful song.. and what i dont understand is why we as humans always feel abligated to try and prove something wrong or right.. like she said we just need to stop and look around.. and stop over looking and over thinking.. because at the end of the day its right there in front of our faces.. were just to blind to see it.. and we need to listen to god.. he will never steer you in the wrong direction.. have FAITH, FORGIVENESS, and LOVE.. thts all you need in the end newys.

The first time I heard this song, I cried! God is so amazing and I am so glad there are celeberties that have the guts and strength in this world to build a song about the one and only oh so magnificent! If you don't believe... I'm extremely sorry for you because he's changed my life soooo much in the past 3 years you could not believe how far I have come. I went from Cutting and Crying one week and almost dying to going to church every sunday and Praising him who fixed me: God!

@GoinBack2Naija The world is messed up because we, as the human race, decided to mess it up. God created it perfect, but gave us the choice to obey or disobey him. We chose to disobey, and the world we now live in is a consequence of that decision. In His grace He still protects us from a lot of things, but there is a price to pay for our disobedience; that's why He sent Jesus. Jesus isn't about fixing the world, He's about fixing us. He's about restoring our relationship with our creator.

@DoNotLaughAtMe Nope, not at all. Prayer does help mankind. All I'm saying is we don't get to blame our condition on anything but ourselves. Praying to end hunger, suffering, and crimes is great, but none of it will every truly be fixed until Christ comes back in the end. This world is broken, and it always will be; that's why we see God destroys this world and creates a new heaven and new earth in Revelations. His desire is for suffering to be gone, but as long as sin exists, so will suffering.

Well anyways rather than praying, I think I want to make actions that will help all humanity reach peace. What's scares me that people think prayers actually works. When action is what will lead to a better life. Pray for cancer or become a medical researcher and find a cure :) That's the different between praying, and doing something.

@DoNotLaughAtMe I would definitely agree. Prayer is more about bringing us closer to God, and having us see the world from His perspective than anything else. He's all-knowing, so I don't see how prayer would influence Him to change His plan... Nothing gets me more mad tho than the parents who have kids with diabetes, and instead of getting treatment just pray for them...then the kid ends up dying and they blame God.

@ryansteel87 I agree with you, except the part how prayer is suppose to be able to communicate with god. It's outrageous. If you can prove it, a nobel prize should be waiting for you. Well as for now, there is an absence of proof for personal gods. This is why it's called faith. I don't like faith at all, it's believing into something without proof.
In reality the science community would of declare all religions propaganda. But since there is too many followers, it would cause chaos.

But if God is real cause i have a gut feeling that he is then science can only go so far back as in for God creating stars, the universe, dang then science is just dust under his finger tips including everything that involves this world. Theres a good reason why we only use 10percent of our brain, &thank God faith & believing were capable of doing. were only on this world for a short period of time compared to eternity...

@policticalMenace1987 The 10% is a myth. We use more than that. Religion was used to explain things we didn't know a long time ago, now it is obsolete because we have science.
Zeus was thought to control the rain, but with science it wasn't. All personal gods are disproven.
Just to tell you, I'm not longer an atheists, but rather an easterian, a person who believes in the easter bunny goddess. Because you don't believe in the easter bunny god, no chocolate eggs for you :) and you go to hell

Anyways my country Canada it's on its way to an atheistic country. Non-religious people are growing exponentially here. I drop religion when I was 13 or when I decided to question, and reason with religion. Until it didn't made any sense anymore.

At least science has evidence. Looking around doesn't necessarily prove there's a god, it just shows there are beautiful things to see around us. We should admire what we know and not try to answer questions we aren't smart enough to answer. Guessing won't get you the right answer, and even if it does, you will have no way of knowing if you are right.

@1954phyllis No, it just means that we see nature as beautiful, it doesn't mean it is, it doesn't mean it's not, it's just what we humans think. Religion was created for social reasons ("Oh look, they have the same beliefs as us, let's hang out with them.") and also to give ppl a reason to live (you would think life seems pointless without a god). It would make sense to give ppl a reason to live, so they don't just kill themselves, so ppl created this god that loves them and what not.

In his eyes we're young, and, like all small children, must learn for ourselves. He's giving us the chance to make our own choices, even if we end up making the wrong ones. Above all, pray. pray with a sincere heart and an open mind, with real intent. he will answer your prayers, but for him to do so, you have to listen after you pray. somehow, some way, he'll show you his love, and show you that you're not alone.

@coreysollars50 i know what it feels like not to feel God.....to feel like something's missing, and you're not sure why that is. i really feel his presence when i serve others. not just serve because you want to help, but to serve others knowing that they are also children of God, and that he loves us all equally. humble yourself, putting pride aside and putting him first in your life....it's not easy, but if you're humble, God will tell you what to do for yourself and all those around you.

Great video I just survived a major brain tumor surgery in 08 and I hand it to the lord completely! I could of died "but I'm glad I didnt" but it seames the lord had more for me to do here! Have faith in your lord our savior in all things and choose the right always! We don't allways know his will but I guarentee it is always right for us!
