I don't think singing for the Queen was her primary wish. She wanted to be a professional singer. That she has achieved. If she gets to sing for the queen which I suspect will happen eventually, that will be icing on the cake.
Susan had one wish... to sing for the Queen. I haven't heard anything about singing for the Queen since I watched her express her wish. Come on everyone over there across the pond, get that ball rolling. It's the least she deserves for all she has given us.
She's very sweet. I hope she keeps her lovely Scoittish accent and does do a "Lulu" and adopt a home counties English accent, just to revert to Scottish when it suits her. Such a phoney! Susan is no phoney. She's the real deal. Lovely lady. I wish her every success.
I hope she sings "power of Love on her next Cd.. also Her TV speical will be on Dec.13/09 and EVERYONE VOTE VOTE VOTe for Susan Boyle t oWin online People's choice AWARDS!!!!
I had guessed that she was doing some training now, because her vocals are even better than before (especially in her upper register - no more straining for the high notes). You go SuBo! :)
I have to strongly disagree, listen to Susan's original recording of Cry Me A River, her voice is much better placed, her breath control is better and there is none of the harsh throaty delivery that;s evident on her Album! It seems now that everytime she attempts to sing loud and high, she forces from the throat and singing slightly flat? Even her facial expressions are more strained compared to her videos of ten years ago.
What the hell did she say? I got the part about "I've had some classical training in the past, but the person but the person the.......?????? Just fantastic. ????? Scot as well."
Susan says, "...but the person I'm working with now, Yvie Burnett, she's fantastic—and a fellow Scott, as well." There's another expression after that, but I can't understand it. She may be saying "aren't ya" (speaking directly to Ms. Burnett).
The person I'm working with now, Evie Burnet is fantastic and a fellow scot, aren't you? I don't have a problem understanding her because my father was a Glaswegian and I grew up surrounded with the accent with all his family too.
Susan, that's great news, I saw an interview with her on one of the UK shows and she's very loyal to you from the comments she made about you. I like that !! Also glad she's a fellow Scot.
This is such a cute hairstyle on Susan....

They really did a good makeover for her here. Her hair and eyes look great. Nice deep and rich color. Makes her look youthful.

WOW! They really did make her over!

I agree.....after all of this, why hasn't the Queen invited her to sing? Why is there nothing from that corner?

iffy50, I believe that Susan said, "The person's name was Evie (or Edie) Barnette, and she is Scottish herself."

She's cute!
To Iffy50: I think she is saying that the person she is working with now is Yvie Burnett who is fantastic, and a fellow Scot as well.
